Lora, gullible and negative publicity don't belong in the same sentence. Those who joined knowing the dangers after seeing the KTLA news stories don't need either our concern nor our action. They chose their course deliberately. It's the ones who had no prior warning that we should be concerned with.

Thank you! By the way, the ladies I had mentioned who joined Kimkins was before October 15, 2007. They can join in the class action lawsuit after all if they choose. Should I direct them to Mr. Tiedt or can they contact their own attorney's??

Didn't lots of those who joined initally, before the WW article, also have warning, though, right here on LCF? People make their decisions emotionally most of the time. It is very hard to ignore and brush off all those supposed people who are supposedly losing all that weight so fast. Which of us here - all of whom, I imagine, have or do struggle with our weight - haven't dreamt of finding THE plan that would do just what KK claims to do?

To turn our backs on folks and tell them they aren't worthy of our concern is, IMO, harsh at the least.

I agree with you often, SMP, but just can't get my mind around to your way of thinking on this one.

Also, have them look through their email address books and see if they have contact info for other friends they made there and be sure THEY know what is going on. Lots of people joined and then left if they found the program too restrictive. They deserve to get their money back, too!

Wasn't that incredible??? Our ducks are the best..One gal saw the pictures and thought they looked "foreign" so someone (can't member) thought to check out some sites..they discovered guys/gals, etc..and FINALLY The Lady in the Red Dress..It was another great day..

I'm printing out that article by Dr. Barnett..(whoever he is)..It's a great synopsis of the lawsuit.. The evidence is all there..It should be a slamdunk..

I spent a couple hours in KK this week and I have to tell you folks, I came out sickened. It is FULL of newbies that have no idea what they are getting into AND worse yet, it's also full of people who tried before and failed and now are coming back because it's the New Year and all that.

I'm sorry, Eli's Mom, I should have been a bit more concise. Order up a tongue-lashing from Heidi for me.I truly wasn't thinking of the original Kimkinites who followed Heidi to her new site - I was thinking mainly of those, who in the face of all the listed dangers, refuse to look into the existing evidence which has accumulated mightily since this Fascination thread began. They don't care that people's health was endangered; they don't care that there is a lawsuit by those who were deceived; they don't even care that Heidi herself couldn't lose weight and keep it off. All they see is a chance to turbo blast off their weight. They may be immature, demanding instant results, but they ARE adults and we can't STOP them except by shutting down Kimkins.com.

Or, as suggested, maybe Heidi's sock puppets have struck again.
