Days? Oh no - I would imagine it would be a month or so. No more housework, dishes, etc. Everyone is on their own - paper plates, dirty tubs, dirty towels, etc. I can't even remember the summer of 2006.

Yeah, that comment really got me laughing - just what does that make her if her and her friends are trashing LCF, the ducks, and anyone else involved in this investigation?

locarb4me's got it right - she needs to look up pariah in the dictionary!

Just a hint for the spelling challenged...PARIAH is not a gum disease, nor is it a flesh eating fish.

I think that what Heidi wrote was something SWSNBN needed to address. Surely it was going to make people wonder.

I don't understand these people planting the idea that people aren't welcomed at other places.
IMO, the "people" they are talking about who aren't welcome on other forums basically is SWSNBN and nobody else. We have lots of former KK people here, as does Amy and Jimmy. SWSNBN is the one who is not welcome anywhere, and had to start her own board to have a "home".

Kind of reminds me of that old shell game where they put a pea under a shell and madly move it and two others around. Your job is to guess which shell the pea is under. As for the Low Carb CTF, it is SWSNBN's brain child and Jimmy referred to it as Kimkins reincarnated. We all know that SWSNBN still thinks Kimkins is a pretty good idea. How did she put it? Oh yeah, she still believes in it 110%.

Was just reading the current Consumers Report and I have to report this.

On the last page they list "goofs, glitches, gotchas" on false advertising.

They have a before picture of this guy using stretch bands to build muscles and then they have an after pic.

The heading says "Your Results May Vary"

proceeded by:

"After seeing way to many fake before-and-after claims, we had to smle at X-tremegeek's approach to an ad for workout bands. They just taped the "before" guy's head on the "after" guy's body. After calling the photos 'genuine unretouched,' a footnote adds, "Reader understands that by 'unretouched,' we may mean slightly 'altered'."

I wonder if Consumers Report would be interested in the KK's fake before/after claims. ConsumerReports.org - Find Product Reviews and Ratings from Consumer Reports Hmmmm!

Unless tt offered an affiliate program. I suspect TT hoped JM might endorse it for the $$ but I suspect after his public flame out and burn up with KK he is gonna be extra cautious about who or what he aligns with now.

And TT will always be just an also ran opportunist lying liar.

Definitely. I completely agree.

I have been thinking lately that people who wander HERE and ask what it's all about really can't be expected to go back to thread 1 and read it all any more. It's just not reasonable. There are lots of places to get at least a quicker run-down. It may not be covered in tremendous detail but also wouldn't take weeks to read! (That wasn't just directed to Barb, just a random thought!)

ITA! I think they should be directed to one of the blogs that gives a comprehensive look at the KK saga without the snarky exchanges that have gone on when someone comes in to argue. The question is, which blog does the best job of summarizing the situation?

You know, there's just nothing much worse than a redneck with a big ego! TT didn't "learn" to be manipulative from Kimmer, because TT is just like Kimmer, but she's just not as smart.

And, Wifezilla and PC (who would've thought you'd ever see Wifey mentioned in the same sentence with anything pc? ) I'm with you on the interpretation of nekkid!

Totally love the "political dieter refugee" description! What a crock! TT is playing divide and conquer. Funny thing is, as an ex-KK's member myself, I was welcomed at Jimmy's, Amy's and here! Sooooo, TT selling of "Camp Carb-awry" as the only truly supportive, positive place to go holds about as much water as a sieve.

But, hey, TT has great supportive members like VandyJ around, so what do I know?

Oh my goodness - look at the sides of the head on the after picture. The before guy's head hasn't been cut'n'pasted in by computer - it's been done by hand! Those are pieces of tape on the sides of his head!!!

So not only did they not bother to cut'n'paste properly, the exercise bands also caused him to grow massive quantities of hair on his arms... and a couple of tattoos!

Well, I think Jimmy did the right thing..He called them as he saw them and saw right through TT's Campsite. No way is Jimmy going to endorse a KK-like diet..(been there, done that), so he chose to leave.

And, about the comment that those who have safe place to go..Is LCF's UNSAFE? or Jimmy's place UNSAFE? or Amy's place UNSAFE? I guess the point was if you want to do
a "starvation diet" you can do at the Camp...Just go through the door marked "Concentration". No one will harrass you, or give you a hard time if you want to starve yourselves..because WE don't care about your health..just as long as you are losing weight..

TT should NOT be giving diet advice anymore than Kimmer should. She hasn't gotten a degree or anything. Sure she lost weight, but that doesn't give her permission to give anyone dieting advice. She should tell them to read the book..see your doctor..not "talk to Pokey".

I am actually not bothered by people who have lost weight giving out diet advice even if they aren't doctors or other health professionals (mainly because the pros have been giving out such crappy advice for the last 20 years listening to them helped make me fat in the first place!).

The problem with Tippy is she is constantly changing her story about how she lost the weight. She never followed Kimkins because If you tweak it, it ain't Kimkins!. There is also a nice long documented record of her switching from plan to plan to plan. There is no way to objectively tell HOW she lost her weight, though it appears most of it was due to Atkins. What advice is she going to honestly give? "Just keep chaning your mind every few seconds. That causes your brain to burn extra calories!"

Kimmer gave diet advice she never even followed. While she pigged out on sugar cookies, she told other people dangerous things just to mess with them.

In both cases, the problem isn't non-pro's giving out diet advice, the problem is they are lying liars that lie.

If you do give out diet advice and are not a pro, just be upfront about it. Tell people that what works for you might not work well for others. Tell people if you took risks and what they were. If you had side effects, be honest about it. Go ahead and sell your plan. I have no problem with people making money.

I do have a problem with lying liars that lie though
