Hi, LCF members, I've been a lurker on and off for a few years, and participate in other fitness forums like YYs and read VF, and registered today as DH and I will turn our attention to a healthier WOE (rather than a diet) in 2008.

I read a quote by CJane in one of the myriad KK threads today, and can't remember where it was. CJane, if you happen to see this, would you mind completing the quote for me? It was something like, "A man who _____________ will be a man who holds his position still." I loved that quote. It reminds me of a quote on a porcelain dish my mom has: "My mind is fix'd, I cannot range. I like my choice to well to change."

I have no idea who said that originally, it's just an old oft quoted proverb.

I don't think it's a typo necessarily, but may have been derived from that. The phrase is also known the way I quoted it...my grandmother said it all the time. I dunno, really...it's just the way I've heard it.

okay Butlers is from a 17th century poem. Dale Carnegie has it your way in hes stuff but doesn't credit a source.
