Why the fascination with Kimmer? #12

What in the heck... Wow!!! I haven't been on this site in a while, but i remember when someone was complaining that kimmer was a fraud and that all her pictures looked different, I would never have paid for her site when all the information was free and her diet seemed unhealthy, can you really call eating under 500 calories and making it low carb a diet, i mean anyone eating that little will lose weight lc or not... I know this has probably been answered but who were the people in the kimkins pics? What happen to that woman from women world mag was she a fraud too, does she still post here?

See, Here are the questions for the quiz folder! When someone out of the loop comes in asking, we point them to a simple Q&A Thread.

They gotta be the simplified form on the answers. Where someone can get up to speed in 5 minutes or less.

I watched "Super Skinny Me" last night on the BBC Channel. WOW!!!! It was good. It showed you how the mindset changes with drastic and unhealthy diets.

Someone else had mentioned it on this thread and when I saw it listed on TV last night, I decided to watch it.

It's about 2 reporters who decide to try the Crash diets to get to a size 0 like the celebrities do, to see what actually happens to people that do that.

It shows you the mental, physical and Emotional Changes that takes place.

I think it's a huge eye opener for those who never did something so drastic and they then can see how this happens to the people who did Kimkins. It also shows you how very intelligent people get sucked into it.

For those that have "Been There", it's an eye opener too.

I highly recommend The Documentary.

That was a great show! The journalist were only on the diet for 5 weeks, I believe was the time frame, and in those few weeks they showed signs of disordered eating. The researcher even said that he was surprised by the changes seen and that it was if once they started to lose weight they became obsessed on obtaining a number on the scale.

Do you think it is because they are weighing so frequently and losing the weight so fast that they only judge success by the number on the scale getting smaller?
I mean when one is doing a more way of life change the change is more gradual and the number on the scale is not changing daily so it is not focused on so intensely.

I remember with Kimkins I was surprised when I first started the diet how everyone weighed daily. Then of course I started into that pattern towards the end.

How true. That is what threw me for a loop. After all the exposure of fraud and deceit, I DON'T understand why she doesn't get it. Heidi is flat out setting her up and implying that she is still on board and working at Kimkins. For heaven's sake, TT, may I point out that one of the specific items John asked for was documentation on your wages?

Heidi started setting you up at Fawn's blog. This is just a continuation of of her manipulation.

Honeybee, I think it's a combo of alot of things. Combine the weighing every day with the malnutrition ...and things truly get out of WACK!!! It's like they KNOW it's wrong...but they can't stop. The mind games and voices in their heads are huge. So is the depression.

Remember when the one reporter was doing the colonics? She was supposed to only do it 2 times in the week she was at the spa? She ended up doing it 4 or 5 times. Even though she KNEW it was bad. The addiction to lose the weight was So great!! She kept thinking...I'll just do this FAST and then I will do it healthy...As soon as the weight is all gone. Sound Familiar?

The other thing to notice is, both these girls had warnings all the time from everyone (doctors and friends) What about when you are at Kimkins and all you get is ENCOURAGEMENT to keep doing those things? Applause for doing them? *shiver*

Truly it's Pro Ana...and they even mentioned that stuff on the show.

I think this is a real MUST SEE for everyone who has been Watching this entire Kimkins Saga.

I loved the fact that they want to see how many people she was paying - so she could deduct that as a business expense. She has a lot of alias. Just like you mentioned earlier.

Welcome back to FWK, AlmondBear.

It really isn't good to stay away too long, as one does tend to get a little lost when rejoining after such a prolonged absence. It's rather like tuning in to your favorite soap opera after not watching for a while.
