I think she will do this when she is FORCED to do it..like if KKins was shut down. I'll say it ... I don't think Heidi would go into cahoots with the Chicken Lady, either. But, if the MCD is connected, then Heidi IS the Chicken Lady. Hey, really now ... if she hasn't hesitated to snatch photos of mail order brides, why would she hesistate to snatch someone's weight loss journey photos? Go back far enough in time and you could easily find someone who wasn't active on any boards.

And yes, I do see shadows around every corner. The sun is setting, and it's the angle of the light ....

Yep, Initially she was, but she left Kimkins.com in the early days.
Here it is in Martin's post on Slamboard-

Catherine had been involved in online marketing for years and recognized an opportunity in Kimmer’s mushrooming popularity. Not even the LCF board owners’ ban policy, meant to silence any mention of the new competing site, could keep the news of Kimkins.com from spreading.

But Catherine seemed to catch on real quick that Kimmer was not all she claimed to be and Catherine left by September of 2006. Broke completely away from Kimkins.com according to Martin and to Kimmer's on words on Catherine being an ex-partner. Here it is in Martin's words

By late August, Catherine had become thoroughly sick of Heidi, her moods, and the way she did business. There was no love lost; it was obvious that Heidi was only tolerating Catherine’s presence and influence in business decisions because of the work and technical expertise Catherine was contributing. A suspicion was becoming a certainty: Heidi would avail herself of Catherine’s presence as a business partner until nearly the end of the 12-month period and then buy her out.

Catherine decided to be proactive and demand a renegotiation of the buyout clause. Catherine told Heidi that she could not continue to devote all her time in return for such an undervalued interest in the business, and she requested a more equitable buyout. She felt that there was a good chance that Heidi would opt to buy her out right away, and she looked forward to getting out of the partnership. As she anticipated, and to her relief, Heidi soon announced that she was exercising her option to buy Catherine out.
The details of the transaction were set out and all the business assets were conveyed at the end of September 2006. Between her share of the site profits during her tenure and the buyout lump sum, and based on a 50-hour average workweek during the time she was involved with Kimkins.com, Catherine made just over $10 an hour for her time launching and developing the business. However, the education and life lessons she acquired were tremendously valuable.

So~ the part about the MCD site being a clone of KK could be 'bait' so that after we investigated the woman, decided it was coincidence and poor judgement on MCD lady's part, we'd move on and let her do business as usual?

Wasn't the MCD site started just about the time the KK article was in WW?

One thing that makes me suspicious...not of Kimmer...but of a TT tie to the MCD is Tippy's "Magic Chicken Soup" recipe she posted in several places on LCF. But then again, I can't imagine TT sharing either. Maybe the Chicken Lady ripped off not only the Kimmer web design, but TT's recipe as well. Hummmm.

Oh, contrare ... allow me to posit an alternate scenario ...

Heidi has been outed. She hid behind the photos in the first place, but now all the world knows what she looks like. And I also think she is far more interested in the bucks, now that she's tasted so many of them, than she is in what people perceive her to be. People will be leery of the too good to be true knock out babes.

Why not morph into a nice, sensible looking lady who wouldn't hurt a fly? We've seen the diet. It is just as unhealthy as Kimkins. There are a startling number of similarities in the parts of the site that everyone can see. And the Chicken Lady - if there really IS a chicken lady - has been made very much aware of the scam of Kimkins. If SHE is legit, why would she want to in any way resemble Kimkins or the Kimmer way of doing things? And there are just too many things that defy logic, ranging from the phony address to the son in law loudly proclaiming that Heidi had them shut down. That one was WAY too obvious, IMO.

No, until someone I trust walks up, shakes her hand and joins her for a chat over a cup of coffee, I can't discount that Heidi IS the Chicken Lady.

As for waiting, she already made it clear in private correspondance that she had a plan in place. What was the date of those? When did she do the joint mailing to all the admins? I don't have that handy, but all of a sudden I want to know ...

See, as far as I know, we never did decide anything except that things are really fishy. As we started talking about this, we got invaded by a very large mass of lurkers/drive-bys/whatevers that concluded for us that she was just this nice lady who used poor judgement.

At least I don't know that she is who she says she is. I just got tired of laying out the facts as known over and over and over and people still insisting that we were just out to crucify anyone who walks on two legs - human or fowl alike.

And the fact that I'll say that out loud is really an irritant to some folks.

I also dug this up out of one of my files. Thought it was interesting to show how Kimmer was attempting to get the website going after Catherine left-

Note the date is October 2006. This also backs up Catherine's time line and her separation from Kimkins.com. Not that you were doubting that, but I have read where others had.
