Lawyer speak can be amusing. There was one document where they referred to Catherine as a resident of the Island of Malta, which is in the Mediterranean Sea. So I am OhYeahBabe, resident of Arkansas, which looks like a pan with a handle, and is between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

I'm not sure why that struck me as funny. I suppose there could be more than one Island of Malta, but it seems like they'd say what country it's part of rather than what sea it is in.

Won't be a jury trial if she settles prior. Her attorney might suggest that if her case doesn't look like it can be won.

Only if she is totally insane. She would be far better off, I'd think, to have it decided by a judge.

Either way she'd likely lose. A jury may not care much about all the details of this saga, but the second the compare her purported 'after' pictures to what she actually looks like, they'll convict her.

A judge won't care what she looks like, but when s/he looks at all the details of this saga, s/he will convict her.

It is a good thing. Comes at a bad time for her though, I was just checking the San Bernardino court site, and Heidi's ex no longer has to pay her spousal support. That's what, $150 less to pay for her sugar cookies?

With a jury, there are 12 different opinions, and it takes only a couple to waylay a guilty verdict. A judge is a single opinion , learned at that, and doesn't need to take as long to make up his mind. There's a reason for the saying: guilty people ask for a jury; the innocent for a judge.
