I think Fawn is the "Extreme" and Heidi is the other Extreme. The questions everyone has to ask is where do we and everyone else fall, in between those 2 extremes?

That's not pointing any fingers. That's truly a question that one must ask one's self, to truly heal from a "Cult Mentality".

It's usually not one or the other. It usually has a bit of both.

What's cool is that if you Google 'Kimkins' the first thing that comes up is kimkins.com ... BUT, unlike just a month or so ago, the next sites are nearly all blogs etc. dedicated to exposing her as a fraud.

It's working, guys!

I don't know if they are or not, and in some ways it doesn't matter. If they are still in cahoots, it'll be revealed soon enough because at least one of the two people involved does not appear to have the kind of wherewithal you need to keep something like that quiet.

325 degrees for about 2.5-3 hours (6.88# standing rib roast). I did sprinkle some salt on it and DH put some dried onion bits on it. Then after it reaches 135-140 degrees (thermometer in thickest part of roast) take out and cover for 20 minutes so juices won't seep out. OMG it was medium rare and the outside was nice and crispy.

I will definitely be making it again. I got it for $5.99/# - $2 off regular price.

Yes I did eat some of the "gooey cake" last night along with some mashed potatoes, etc. Today my butt is dragging and I could gag when I think of candies/cookies.

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Now on to New Years Eve/Day.

A Plea to the Onlookers:

I have been bouncing around to blogs, posts, etc. this morning. I understand the concerns of others, with the looking around every corner, investigating every detail, questioning innocent looking posts.

As crazy as my friends here at FWK, I stand behind them and their poking and theory making.

Heidi started this mess, but she did not continue it on her own. There are many people with many motives. There are those who continue to profit, and appear to be upstanding, and that is a mask. Wouter Van Dyck for example, a successful affiliate marketer, but he is still promoting the fraud. He has many legitimate looking affiliate contributions, but his thirst for money has blinded him to what is the right thing to do.

I suspect there are others, with other motives, and they are just trying to blend in with the woodwork.

Anyone who is truly innocent in this mess has absolutely nothing to fear.

These folks in here are not out to destroy good people with honest intentions.

This lawsuit is not going anywhere. It will happen. I also suspect we will have quite a few more joining over the course of this upcoming month.

Now, if there is anyone who can convince me otherwise, who can relay to me how the work in here is really jeopardizing the case, then please send me a message. I want actual facts. I need to be explained to in detail why something is bad. Not just told like a child "because I said so".

or

Is Heidi using Fawn to make it look like that's what TT's doing?

As much as I dislike TT, I think the answer is that Heidi is using Fawn.
I slept on your questions, Chelveston, and this is what I came up with. Heidi uses everyone as long as she gets some perceived benefit from them. Then she discards them. She Who Shall Be Ignored (SWSBI) sounds like a little girl pleading with Mom for reinstatement in her good graces after the spanking. She can't undo the reason for the spanking, but she wants forgiveness. Fawn is only too pleased to facilitate communication between her two idols.

It is to SWSBI's benefit to have joined the lawsuit, but she wants Heidi to recognize she had no choice and remain her friend. Her other only friend - after all, look what her loyalty to Heidi has and can cost her. Surely Heidi can reciprocate that loyalty. (How'm I doing so far? Sound reasonable?)

Quote:

So, what are we missing? Do we have a short recap?

Could it be that with TT signed on to the lawsuit things are looking dire for KK?

Isn't this latest stir on the heels of TT signing on to the lawsuit?

Good thing that John didn't come down with the last shower. I agree that the question of the day is where is TT's true loyalty. I'd bet a bunch of low carb treats that her only loyalty is her pocket book right now and in the short term that means playing nice on the lawsuit.
I'd say you hit it on the head. Want some homemade coconut bark ?

Quote:

Maybe Fawn wants to be KK's new PR Director?
I don't think so. It took some time, apparently, for Heidi to coax her into starting her own blog. So again, the question is WHY? Heidi always has reasons for what she does. The fact that Fawn's blog mostly doesn't sound like her, and the fact it was scrubbed of certain incriminating or revealing statements makes a suspicious duck-loving person like me go Hmmmm!

You guys...this has taken a terrible turn. I'm not sure some of you can see it as clearly as those of us without anger that clouds our vision can. I know you're angry, but the anger has turned into "ugly" in a few cases and the inability to see the ugliness in many cases. Don't lose your way. You have accomplished tremendous things here. What worries me most is the attempt to justify the behavior in question...whatever that behavior happens to be. It's not the questions you ask as much as the manner with which you ask them. It's not the answers you give as much as the manner in which they are given. Many of you are seeing an emeny around every corner and that is not always the case. This is just my opinion and again I am a supporter of your work here. I come here never being hurt by kimmer, TT or anyone else in this mess for that matter. My perspective is very different because I have not suffered what many of you have. Unfortunately what I see happening here is those emotions getting in the way of good work, good judgement and good people.
Happy New Year to all.
No flames here, in fact, THANK YOU for saying this. I also hope this thread can soon get back to the WORK it was once accomplishing.

BamaGal, do you all have a template that you are using to contact owners/admins of all the low carb sites to see if they will be sure and put a warning on their sites. Thus, when newbies wander in looking, they will be warned off?

ETA: If you do, I'd be happy to take a couple of hours and spread it around some.

..snipped for length....
Can I make something very clear here? It seems to be getting overlooked that VandyJ was called a troll because a post was found at the Camp. VandyJ wrote in that post that she specifically came here to start and continue a dust up. She took great pleasure in it, and considered it a compliment when people used the ignore button on here.

Troll is not a term I use lightly. I do not use it on regular LCF posters who pop in and out of lurkdom to throw in a few thoughts. I use it in cases where it is clear and obvious that someone is here to cause trouble, and no other reason. They are usually people who are registered here, have a hundred or so posts to their name, and mainly frequent other boards, not this one. VandyJ was tried and convicted, and we used her own words to prove it. We didn't twist what she said or add anything to it. She came here to cause trouble, and she found it.

Please, if you are a regular poster at this forum and come in and out of this thread, even if you disagree with us, please do not think for even a minute that you are considered a troll.

ITA.

One of the things I enjoy about this place, as opposed to fora such as Camp Send Me Your Money is the open exchange of ideas. Disagreement is to be expected in such a large forum, and given the wide range of personalities and ways of expressing individual ideas, it's also to be expected disagreement may be interpreted as less-than-helpful. But it isn't, not really. If nothing else it helps clarify one's own position, and very often there are valid points which should be considered.

This bears repeating, Terry. Those who wander in with the INTENT of stirring things up so they can pontificate about how mean and abusive people are here, so they can call for the demise of the thread -- THEY are the trolls. And Vandy did all three of those things.

at this time we are promoting our blogs and the lawsuit---plus we are building sites within squidoo, digg, technorati, stumble, etc----

I don't know what we can do with the large low carb sites---all of them seem to know the dangers of kimkins and do not encourage it---
