Right now, I don't quite know what to say~ I wasn't involved with KK or Heidi but I do want to cheer you all on and be supportive. I guess there's just too much I don't know about it all.

I don't understand Becky~ but then, she wasn't part of my (BB) life for months~ I didn't look to her for support, didn't read her posts for validation. I can understand how betrayed some of you must feel though~ I've been slam-dunked by someone I trusted. It hurts.

I have questions about the MCD lady~ I don't understand why Becky should take up her banner~ unless she (as someone questioned) thinks vLCD are okay. Maybe the MCD lady is sincere and just foolish, rather than driven by the twisted thinking that seems to personify Heidi. We can only hope she adjusts her plan to non-anorexic levels.

I have a 13 yo granddaughter~ she's already making *I'm too fat* noises~ Please know how valuable your efforts are~ they will help people that have never heard (yet) of Kimkins~ and also a generation of computer savvy, impressionable, newly teen Googlers~ God (and you all) please, don't let any of them get sucked into something that makes them look like the pictures on Medusa's blog

Keep it up~ don't let anyone suggest you are 'going too far'. There is so much more going on here than just Heidi's fraud~

The August 6 payday came and went with no money and with me locked out of the site. I knew then how the game would be played out. I had seen hints of this with our previous lead tech guy, who quit/got fired/quit 3 times. So, on August 9, I emailed Heidi simply,"I was wondering if I would be paid this week." I was fully prepared to be told no, because I knew I had not been doing what she hired me to do, nor was I willing to. Fair enough.

She sent back a typical response intended to intimidate me back into line. It began, "From all indications it seemed to us that you had quit?"

I sent back a response saying she was out of line, her personal statements to me were uncalled for, and ending, "I find, once again, that I cannot get on the site. I am being banned? If so, I think you are making a terrible mistake, both in how you are treating me, and in the fallout all this type of thing will have on you down the line."

This went on until an event that marks for me 'the beginning of the end'. That event was the banning of Amy(Cutie) and Kiki in mid-April. ... When Amy and Kiki they told me they had been banned on the spot, without warning, for daring to wonder, in private messages, about some questionable before-and-after pics on the early success stories, I knew then Kimmer was a liar.

Heidi was to loan me $20,000 interest free, no payments for 6 months, payable over 5 years after that. I was to own and operate it, with part as Kimkins Kitchen, and part as our own venture, and Heidi would promote Kimkins Kitchen in the newsletter and website like she did Kimmerware, in exchange for a cut. My husband and I drew up a prospective product list, contacted and selected suppliers (prominent among them Netrition, incidentally), opened business accounts, and purchased domain names, business licenses, and DBAs. We were ready to pull the trigger on what might have been a good future . . . and we just couldn't. Too many things began troubling me. By August I was glad to call it a loss and walk away with $1000 severance, just to be free.

So, let me get this straight?

She knew in April that Kimmer was a liar, yet still remained.....for, of course the good of the members......then was going to take $20K from Kimmer, the liar, to partner with her, Kimmer the liar, as a business partner?

And, on August 6th - well aware Kimmer was a liar mind you - looked for her pay and when Kimmer said she thought she quit, her reply was - again - from her own words......I sent back a response saying she was out of line, her personal statements to me were uncalled for, and ending, "I find, once again, that I cannot get on the site. Guess that's a lot of what I don't understand~ Or maybe it's just that I have a long history of reading/studying nutrition and couldn't understand how anyone could follow KK for more than a brief crash to drop a couple of pounds or as a kick-start to a healthy WOE. Really~ 38 years ago, when I bought my first Gayelord Hauser and Adelle Davis books, I learned the importance of proper nutrients ~

KK is bankrupt on many more levels than just fats or calories. I would hope someone in Becky's position would understand that and try to guide people away from VLC diets.

First, though, I want to take another shot at explaining a little better just how disturbing Heidi/Kimmer's remarks felt to us at the time, and why they precipitated a mass exodus of those of us on the receiving end. As I said, it is hard to describe without some context how it hit those of us in the conversation.

It seems like she is a nice lady, and she's really tried to apologize. But then, again, I haven't read her posts on Jimmy's site. Anyway, the accusations sure seem uncomfortable to me, and I'll bet they do to other readers, too.

Right on. People have many facets, myself included. I might have 15 different reasons for doing an action and I might trot out a different reason for 15 different people. THIS DOES NOT INVALIDATE the other reasons. I don't pretend to know Becky, but overall, she strikes me as a decent, though fallible, person. I personally got the feeling she was testing Kimmer's reactions, having already decided on a course of action for herself, and wanted to capture Kimmer's words for a later audience. Only Becky knows for sure. I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Once upon a time, Heidi seemed like a successful dieter who only wished to help others achieve their own remarkable transformation. Sometimes, things are what they appear~ sometimes, there are odd discrepancies that give people pause~

Calling people out on their true intentions is never a comfortable thing. For one, people who succeed in uncovering someone's true intentions are often maligned or called the bad guys.

Still, finding consumer justice is about being that bad guy sometimes. This stuff is out there for anyone to read. Calling someone on their own words and their behavior and underlying agendas is never comfortable, I'd wager.

That's why there are folks out there like yucky to be the so-called bad guys for those who find discomfort in these types of situations.

So, just as these situations are uncomfrotable, at the same time it is a blessing that there are folks out there willing to do the dirty work in showing what agendas are really at play here.

Never fail to give the benefit of the doubt-- but when you see red flags, run. This is the internet. People will tell you what they want you to hear when it benefits their cause.
