On the Squidoo site, you can leave a comment, rate the articles (see the stars at the top), and "Report this lens as spam or adult" on the side bar (left one on this article, but sometimes on the right side bar).

Be sure to use the search option to check out all the Kimkins-related Lenses on this site! Some pro-kk, some anti-kk.

Thank you for taking the time to check some of these out!

I know it's really tough, I'm in the Christmas gifts mode (you know that involves making of the sweet treats) and a little here a little there, it really adds up.
Then I get the sugar crash and become pretty much worthless the rest of the day.
I understand also about motivation. I was all revved up about KK when I joined. It was my "one last time" . Kept waiting to see what maintenance looked like and never saw it. I was afraid to lose the weight just to have it come back on. So never really could get it started.
Glad to see your researching and working your way back up the ladder. I hope to get there too, soon.

Friends, I feel your pain! I have had to learn to WIPE or RINSE or CHUCK INTO THE DISHPAN while cooking instead of licking - and I'm talking all chocolatey and sweet stuff I'm baking today/tonight that covers bowls, spoons, spreaders, etc.

I did take a couple of little tastes, but I have serious low blood sugar problems (complication following WLS in 2005) so i will literally fall out if I overdo it. Thus, I take that spreader covered in melted chocolate, and I rinse all that yummy stuff right down the drain. It's one of the hardest habits I've ever had to learn (Lordy it sounds SAD to say that) but hey, I've just finished six batches of what my family/friends call "Christmas Crack", and I'm still vertical!

Except now I'm so tired, I'm ready to go horizontal!

HIGH CARB RECIPE for anyone interested in making an easy, delicious, impressive holiday sweet treat:

Home-Made Heath Bar Candy (aka "Pine Bark" or "Christmas Crack")

1 small box (or one column from large box) saltine crackers
2 sticks butter
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line sided cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Lay the crackers out in the cookie sheet in a single layer, covering the sheet entirely (may need to break a few crackers to fill the edges). Set aside. Put butter and sugar into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil exactly three minutes. Pour mixture over crackers, being sure to cover all the crackers. Bake in 400 degree oven for exactly 7 minutes (any longer and you may have a burned, sticky mess - watch carefully!). Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over top while still hot. Use a knife or spatula to spread chocolate chips as they melt, covering the entire pan smoothly. Refrigerate until hardened. Break into pieces and serve, or store in an airtight container.

Oh, I'm not going anywhere! Well actually I am - we're leaving in an hour or so and heading to NC to spend Christmas with our daughter's family.

I'm still following the thread(s) but am no longer commenting about that whole situation. It's just too disturbing.

Merry Christmas everyone. Enjoy your holiday and I'll catch up when we get back.

Team Yucky had posted a comment, in response to one of the blogs, to do a little "Searching". I took their Advice.

I did that and went farther then that. There were some things revealed to me that I can't share, but because of them I MUST make this post.

I retract my acceptance of Becky's apology. I also would like to Apologize to anyone that I might have offended AND Hurt with my post. I wrote it in haste and with my own desire of wanting everyone to unite. I am deeply sorry for that and TRULY regret it.

To Becky. I realize now that we truly were never on the same Mission.

I leave you and Deni with this:

Mark 4:22

And that's All I am going to say.

You see all we saw was a bunch a beautiful people who were fun, loving and caring. We did not go to see how people looked and if they gained weight . We wanted to spend time with some wonderful people.

For a long time after whats her name made comments I felt horrible for gaining weight and I still do. But you know in my eyes , whats her face , can lose all the weight she wants but she will never look as good as my friends here. She hurt them with her comments ,therefore she hurt me.

It is also funny ,because I told my dh the first time I met her that there was something about her. She appeared phoney to me, but he said I was imagining it.

What I am trying to say is. Beauty is in the inside ,so with that said TT is an UGLY FAT LIAR THAT LIES. (in my eyes) (DID i SAY THAT) And she becomes uglier every time I see her words, because as I said

BEAUTY COMES FROM INSIDE.
I know I'm behind, but I just want to say.......

Sinny - I love you, babe. You are one beautiful person inside and out and I truly love you. I am so glad we got to meet in person in Vegas. You are so right about what you posted!

I saw these last night. It is so disturbing. I KNOW of one young girl who would love to join KK's for this very reason to validate her distorted view of beautiful. She posts pictures like these on her site as something to admire and goals to achieve. Not only is this physically destructive, but their mental capacities are so screwed up also that they can't see it for what it is. She was so distraught that her "so called friends" were "bashing" her for her choices. She just couldn't see that they couldn't just watch her killing herself slowly each day, they were "haters" for loving her enough to try to warn her of the dangers and not "accepting" her for who she was.

LOL I know what you mean. I've become pretty good about not licking the spoon (or my fingers) and "wasting it" ....er washing the stuff down the drain. But yesterday I was making caramel corn and well....it was caramel residue. I was willing to sacrifice myself on that one, well because it was caramel

ETA: off to try the forbidden recipe

Wow I have been away for a while and I just caught up on all of this drama! I am very saddened that we are still under attack for hunting down a predator like kimmer. I have been re-reading some from the first thread and I must say that much of the speculation, conjecture, and just plain old guessing has been proven correct or worse than speculated. The twists and turns are endless with this scam and all of its players. Yet here we sit and read such hurtful scathing comments by the very people we tried to help. I believe that we should care enough about people to warn them that something is harmful or deadly. It hurt me to read those things after all these people went through to expose this woman. To minimize the hard work done is just unthinkable!

This is ONE thread on a huge site!!! ONE THREAD!!!! This ONE THREAD is dedicated to taking down kimmer and any of her spawns. The last time I checked bacteria liked to multiply. I look at her the same way; she will spew this forth somewhere else if she can. Why should we stop? Why should we whisper a warning? Why should we be nice? I am sorry, but if someone is going to try to harm my friends or any innocent people you bet I am going to "cry loud and spare not" I refuse to feel bad for things that "seem" mean when all that is being done is stating the truth. I will agree that at times some things did go to far, but those things were pointed out at the time they occurred and they were resolved THEN. Again I repeat that this is ONE THREAD on this entire site. IF this thread offends you: DO NOT READ IT!!!!

Why am I here? Because I care about all of you and those potential victims of this scam. I am working on a blog of my own even though I am not a good writer. I will do what I can to help bring Kimmer down! I broke my ankle last week, and I am in a lot of pain right now! So I am not getting much done, but I had to comment on the happenings of late.

TOOTER: it took a lot to post that retraction. I am all for forgiveness, but trust and respect have to be earned. I don't know what to think about these "apologies" anymore. Good grief!(in my best charlie brown voice)

These are just my thoughts right now.

CLEO: So good to see you posting!!

Finally caught up on the #11 and now #12...Wow!..It's still amazes me how some can generalize their statements to include a whole community when this thread is just that, one thread (in many parts).
Congrats to Woofy as one student to another!
As an Ex-KKer I have to say I'm glad you guys are putting this out there and I am trying to keep up with all the consumer sites to add my two cents, as well.
As an MD I can only give out the best researched info I can find...which leads me to Thanks again...these sites have great links to more and more information. I also recommend (to my patients) Dr. Atkin's and Dr. Bernstein's books. I give the folks with internet access this site, LCF, as a help with support and recipes.
