You ladies are crazy! I can never catch up enough to comment -- I'm afraid by the time I comment you all will have moved on to thread #248 and you'll be all, "um, Z, your comment is sooooo 237 threads ago."

I just wanted to say that I'm still reading and I'm proud that you all continue to fight the good fight and continually uncover connections that I NEVER would have thought of. I do, however, think that this new "magic chicken" (WTH?! ) diet is probably just a knock-off, not a real Kimmer thing. But who knows? I'm sure by the time I completely catch up you will have already found a connection!

For my part, I'm mostly just embarrassed by my own earlier support of Kimmer, back in the day (like 2003ish). I never joined Kimkins.con (cuz I'm cheap) and I never actually did the Kimkins diet (cuz I like, um, food, and I felt it was too extreme for the amount of weight I wanted to lose) but I did support her here. I guess I just believed what she said, and she said it with such conviction, so I never really understood much of the animosity about her back then. But I DO remember seeing her being vindictive with Dana114 and I totally remember the comment re: Chery's supposed alcoholism. That's when I first started to see her true colors.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. Carry on my friends!

p.s. I agree that ignoring TT is the best revenge. TT

Did anyone think to strat grabbing the "after" pics from Kimarexia.com?

I am thinking that a side by side will be very interesting in a few weeks. My money is on she never changes her clothes and while she gets thinner on the photoshop diet, her pose will be EXACTLY the same as it is today.

I grabbed todays, but I have a feeling that her site won't be online past year end...

She is doing quite well.

I see she has mastered the "getting your legs as straight as a razor". Kinda like the erase tool in MS Paint does for you.

JessieBear,

Is she purporting that this is a different pic? I wasn't aware of that. I just figured she said she would use the same pic and then update pics "occasionally" (since she's agoraphobic/cameraphobic/not techie enough to operate a digital camera).

If she's trying to pass that off as a different picture, then this is all I have to say:

She gave me that advice, and it was the best I ever received. Ironically, Kimmer never bought the idea that persistent diarrhea is a reality on low carb for some of us. She says that after a few weeks, your body adjusts. My response to her was "What? Was there a memo on that and my colon didn't receive it? You mean I suffered seven months of diarrhea when I didn't need to?" She never responded. Additional irony is that it was Kimmer's harassment that drove the Atkins "Nutritionalist" off this board.

Whoa stop the presses. I used to wonder why Kimmer would harp on the laxative thing as I had the opposite problem. Wonder if this is part of why my weight came off so fast, super deep ketosis induced potty trips? I can remember a few times where Id pop an imodium when potty time was especially unpredictable & I had mapped out all the toilets in the public restrooms across Omaha. Id like to know the bioflavanoid connection if you ever have the time to PM me please. TY

I did mention on Banta Babes how I was doing Kimkins & Bootcamp. And just like the other Babes I could have also gained all my weight back. I was afraid of that, and Tippy showed me how to cycle so that didn't happen. Whenever I would gain or experience a stall, I'd go back to Kimmer's Bootcamp then cycle the plans again as she suggested. That's basically how I've still been maintaining my weight.

That's right Magicsmom. I remember we Babes were all so happy when Tippy was cycling and losing weight. It was Tippy's method of cycling the plans that helped her lose weight. I called it the Tippy Toe W.O.E, and it wasn't done 100% in the exact order that Kimmer, or Heidi or whoever she is said to do it. Perhaps that's why Tippy was so successful with her cycling of low-carb plans. The Babes really struggled that were actually doing it 100% the way "Kimmer" suggested. You're right about that.

Well her assets are frozen...maybe she will have the people left on Kimkins take up a collection so she can buy a new shirt. THAT one needs to go!

I don't think shes that dumb to claim it is new? I just blew it up to see the modification lines -- as those are as clear as day.

That is the downside of the photoshop diet -- it always leaves traces of your former self.

I can do better than call, if y'all think it's a good idea. The address listed is less than an hour from where I live, and I would be more than happy to make a little road trip this weekend to see what's at that location.

Most likely a cow or a goat, knowing the area. Woohoo! Investigative road trip!!

Sorry Chelsea, I just don't remember you posting anything about doing Kimkins. All I ever remember you saying about your WOE is that it's low carb. But you are in and out of the group a lot, so you may have posted it and I just don't remember it. I can understand why cycling works. The deprivation when you are doing Kimkins the way it is written was enough to drive me to a binge when I couldn't take the plan anymore. It's not even looking like Kimmer can do it. She's getting Atkins results. All of the Babes who did the Kimkins plan did gain the weight back. You were not doing Kimkins if you cycled.

Prolly been said, but that entire disclaimer appears to be identical to the letter to the one on Kimkins.

There is either some serious pirating going on there, or Hidey's up to no good. At least the B & A photos seem authentic.

Well, I did Kimkins for 2 weeks 100% as written by Kimmer without cycling. I don't know how long the majority of the Babes were on it, then went off it and experienced a gain. A lot longer than my 2 weeks, I'm sure. Is doing any diet for 2 weeks really giving it a try?? Kimkins is not easy to stick to, and you're right it is deprivation the way it was written and not healthy by any means. I wasn't doing Kimkins, I was doing Tippykins.

The interesting thing about Kimkins is that it is basically a rip off of Stillmans, except that she allows you a few measly vegetables. You'd better be sure you are measuring that loosely packed cup of romaine!! Stillmans was written by a doctor, and he said not to do the plan for more than two weeks. The purpose of it was to break a stall, nothing more. Kimmer took Stillmans and ran with it, slapped her name on it, and the rest is history. Hopefully, soon to be past history.

The phone number is for an older couple apparently living with an aging parent in Lakeside Texas.

The whole thing is a bit sketchy

Every time I hear about the magic chicken diet, I think of a website we had a blast with a few years ago. Check it out - it's at subservient chicken dot com. You can give him commands and he'll do what you say. Ask him to make you a chicken sandwich, or give you a kiss.
