I realize not many of you know me and you do not trust me. I understand that.
I am a mom to 4 children ages 17 to 3. I have been heavy for years and years and yes I was desperate to lose weight. I found Kimkins group and I joined. From that day forward I felt in control. A good thing in some ways..A bad thing in other ways. I lost weight and felt proud. But I think I wanted more faster. That is my fault not anyone else. To be honest I knew KK gave advice etc but I stuck to a few threads with a few people. Amy ( with eating low with Amy) was a big help in me getting and staying on track. While my son was in the hospital for weeks. I posted to Amy quite often and she offered great support. I left the hospital weighing 25 pounds more then I did and worried sick with a child who had just recovered from his 13 brain operation. I also got the news of the cyst in his brain stem had grown and I felt lost. My drug to deal with all of this was FOOD. But as the scale got close to 200 again I panicked and knew I either needed to get back on KK or just eat and get heavy. I jumped back in to KK hard core. I started back on 6/16/07 weighing 192.5.
I worked really hard to TRY to get control of my eating . I think control is the word that stands out to me. I could not control my son's issues so I felt I needed control somehow in my life. That was my weight. In some ways this was good and in others it was bad. I am learning to get back to the idea that food is not my enemy and that I need to eat more and make wise choices. Being a former Atkins girl. I know you can eat and lose. I am working on that
This is what leads me to my thoughts and questions about TT. I asked for private reasons. I will work on sharing them , hopefully today. Can you all give me some time to do that? TT has always been kind to me. She pushed me to eat more. She would PM me often about my weight etc. Deep down TT seems to really enjoy food and like me enjoyed the amount of food on Atkins.
I asked about TT vs Kimmer because this thread seemed to turn to TT instead of KK and I wanted to understand why. I wanted to know and understand if there was a reason for this vs a general dislike for her. I guess you could say fact vs hair color. lol
One thing I would like to address. This is from my heart and as honest as I can be. I did not re join Kimkins to ask anyone to leave her site. I am not recruiting anyone at all. I joined to be there in my threads I have started. End of story.
Is there a new group? What are the details? Who runs it? Why and where? Can you all give me a little time to think and research a few things? I am not one to ignore things. I think that was a problem with me being banned in the first place.
Once again. I am not doing dirty work for TT at KK. I am enjoying my friends there and trying to get back on track. In fact since I have gone back to KK...I have less people PM and e-mailing me. Maybe they think I did the wrong thing going back, maybe they are afraid to talk to me. Heck maybe they realize I am just Amy B and not all that special. LOL
So can you all give me some time today? And try to trust one thing? I am not a little pawn for TT. I found TT to be one way and wanted to understand why others felt a certain way. I was honest about that.
I would like to give a public apology to Amyb.

After 8 hours of solid sleep, I woke up this morning to her second post. Last night when I read her questions about Flippy, I reacted. With the speed of the internet, we can quickly put our thoughts out there without even really thinking, and I was guilty of that last night.

I was angry as I thought that Flippy might be using her. I read her comments last night, and yes I did think that a Flippy site was in the works. I still do think that, but that doesn't mean that Amy is a part of it.

My comments to her really were heartfelt, as I didn't want to see her drawn up into Flippy's drama. However, in my rush to comment on it, I lost sight of the fact that my comments could cause a problem for her, and I so regret that. Amy got thrown off of KK once, and I would hate to think that my comments might plant the seed with Heidi and cause her to throw Amy off the site again. Would I like to see her leave KK? Yes, I would, but it is wrong of me to do anything that might help push that along.

There are very strong feelings here, and some very intelligent people have weighed in on all sides of the issues. In this little internet world, it can be so easy to forget that 'thinking' something doesn't always make it so.

We all walk in a different set of shoes, and I guess on this particular issue, I'm going to try to bow out of speculating on things that aren't fact and could cause someone to be hurt.

After reading Amy's post this morning, and after reading her Caring Bridge site on Philip - from start to finish - I haven't walked in her shoes. She's dealt with things that most of us can't even begin to understand, and she's coped with it the only way she knows how.

So, Amy, again I would like to say I am sorry. I might not be expressing my feelings very well, but I don't feel very good about myself right now.

I'm sorry.

2big4mysize,
I tried to comment on that blog but it won't let you...I retyped the address and reloaded, still no luck...you are right. Best said by Eldridge Cleaver--
"If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem."

I know that desperate folks are still at the site posting..even a few Hottoies from our group are still there. Will do whatever to get them out.

Apparently my post was in stealth mode as some are still focusing on one TT incident as if that's all she did. This post gives insight to Tippy's character. Remember, this isn't second hand info, I was here.

So all people saw were her lies and felt animosity towards the person Tippy lied about. If only we'd thought to PrtScn in those days!
Kimmer was extremely mean to people here and every chance Tippy got, she would go behind kimmer and drive the screw in deeper.

Tippy went to the LCF pigroast and caused a ruckus from that. She's a gossip.
She takes pleasure in others suffering.
One woman has food allergies, reactions that can kill and Tippy even found that fact fodder for amusement.

Tippy created a fund raiser for fictional foster children and then later lied about what the money was for.
She lied about her weight loss method on the BBB site, she lied on here, she lied on kk and she lied on national television.
She's lied about not knowing who kimmer is, not knowing anything about fake pictures. She's lied about what the kk diet is.
She continues to lie about everything that's asked of her and takes no responsibility for her lies.

What do I want her to say? The TRUTH.

Those poor misguided affiliates will be recruiting people for Kimkins, and when the 5th of the month comes and goes in January, I bet they'll all be a little steamed at Heidi. I wonder if she was even able to pay the affiliates on 12/5?

If I were an affiliate, I'd certainly not want to be helping to recruit more "victims" especially since there doesn't seem to be any guarantee that I'll be seeing any compensation for my efforts.

I wonder how many of those "affiliate websites" will still be around once they realize they haven't been paid.

There is a very big difference between being promised 25%, which is very clearly advertised on Kimkins.com, and receiving nothing.

Sometimes this is where I get the feeling that there are little to NO affiliates and she is ghostwriting everything to make Kimkins APPEAR to be a healthy-vibrant weight loss site. I just dont see the WEB traffic over there anymore? Doesnt she sound like a buzy little bee, "my gosh all this work I must do". Wizard of OZ

oops I've been told by a former kimkins member brussel sprouts while on the kimkins list 2 veggies would get a message from Kimmer not to eat more then 3 cause they are so high carb. Anybody else here that?
I want my blog sample menu to reflect a true legal kimkins day at over 800 cals AND under 20 carbs with keeping fat to only enough to make it work for Tippytoes to explain her statements about the plan being safe over 800 cals. But if Brussle sprouts are not actually legal then I can edit it out and add a different veggie.

Oh and thank you all the former KK folk reading here helping make this Atkineer's sample kimkins menu legal

I guess I never really followed her plan because I have always had a special WOE due to Celiac Disease.
I never publicly endorsed her. I did answer medical questions when someone asked me...I was just trying to lose weight.
Hope that clears my part up for anyone wondering. I too, was scammed.
Just because a person is educated, doesn't mean they know everything...and doctors are human first (although some don't seem to be at all).

Lauren. I too was a KK member - but never followed her plan. I didn't even know about the PBTP until I read about it on this site. I would post in the Oldies group and try to answer newbie questions. Fortunately Heidi banned me back in July and quickly refunded my $14.95 membership fee.

I also agree with you that some doctor's don't understand the food pyramid and the need for carbs. My mother is 84 years old - with fasting blood sugar of about 120. I got her on low carb for one month and when she went to the hospital for some tests and after just having a chicken salad for lunch they did a blood test and low and behold her blood glucose was 83. So yes - LC does work.

I was never in a challenge..but I see that by my not getting banned I was viewed as tacitly endorsing starvation, which I do not endorse.
Lauren
You are not the only one - a lot of us were fooled. She's quite a scammer.

I remember posting about cashews and brussel sprouts - not to mention rum/diet coke. I think she even questioned me regarding the possibility I had a drinking problem.. Now this was just having one or two on a Sunday while swimming. If my memory serves me right I did respond to her about that - but can't remember exactly what she posted. She might have even apologized if I'm not mistaken.

Hi ixtapacheryl,
She used broccoli in her carb count not brussel sprouts, that's what I recall.

I think you guys are right, either someone ripped Heidi off or she's starting a new stream of revenue..as they say.
BTW I am in hot pursuit, as the sheriif would say, of the lawnchair lady.
