Why the fascination with Kimmer? #10

Woofy I'm not sure but I believe Delaney jumped ship yesterday. Her posts here were way too nice not to think that's what was going on. And we told her that she would have support if she bailed. Aside from the fact that she made some very personal attacks on members here and ex kk members, we know how alluring that popularity with Heidi was. I feel sorry for Singing lass to a degree, I DO NOT feel any sympathy for Tippy at all. She's not a nice person. She has proven that. A few points to remember about Tippy.

1. She said to Christin on national TV that she thought she was a bad rep for KK when she was there. Indicating that Christin was the reason others ate poorly. Tsk Tsk.
2. While here she went around talking about people behind their backs.
3. Also while here during her transition to kk, she gave someone a recipe in the hopes of "making" her gain weight.
4. She made fun of mods here who gained a few lbs back.
5. She threatened a mod here.
6. She admitted she doesn't care that Heidi lied, only that it bothered her when Heidi lied about her pay.

That's just a few. So again. Tippy, sorry but I don't feel sorry for you, sad for you yes, but sorry no. Sad because you will likely never again find the support you once had, at Lcf or at KK. Sad that everywhere you go there is a black cloud following you. And sad that while your attempt was to set up shop at Amy's site, all you managed to do was hurt Amy. Even if we had never gone there, the members who have been there for awhile would have still spoken out against you being there.

Now I feel bad for Amy! It IS her board, and she puts a lot of herself into it, but this Tippy thing has knocked everybody off their pins. In fact, I would take it VERY personally if a bunch of people from another low carb forum, who couldn't be bothered to become members previously, suddenly joined to gang up on either myself or an unpopular member.
For heaven's sake, give them all a break. Amy says she's an adult with a working brain. Tippy made some gross errors in judgement in even going over to Kimkins in the first place, and is now paying the price. But until it's her turn in court, leave her private life alone. Kimmer IS Heidi's private life; Tippy has a hubby who's been involved against his will. And Tippy DID try to fix the most egregious bad advice Kimmer gave. It was still like painting the Titanic. Tippy was a bad admin because her boss was a crook who not only permitted it; she encouraged it. As Heidi said time and again, I'm just like you guys. (Or vice versa!) Not too likely! But Amy is a "good boss." I think we can safely leave her to look after the people on her own board; and we can stick to doing what we've been doing - dismantling the Kimpire one lie at a time.

As a member of a challenge group for the past 6 years, our members always shared email addresses - just in case something happened to LCF. Gosh, we even shared mailing addresses and phone numbers. I hope that is happening at Kimkins and elsewhere.

Kimkins people --- over the last months we've seen MANY people come here with the same feelings of AmyB. They were devastated because they'd lost their friends and people they considered lifelines on Kimkins.com. Their challenges and groups were going on without them, and they had no way to contact the people they had grown to care about.

It happened over and over again because people always thought, "That won't happen to me."

Well it happened to AmyB.

If you have people on Kimkins who are important to you, get their email addresses, or if you are comfortable exchange phone numbers. When the smoke clears, you can regroup here or elsewhere.

Forums here, there, and everywhere are just virtual walls. Forums become virtual homes to you when you care about the people, and if you have your email and phone contacts, you can take those people with you.

Copy your journals if you want to keep that information and pack your little, virtual suitcase. Moving can sometimes be exciting.

I've let people slide in the past because I know many people feel they had nowhere to vent, but you know what - no more! So don't think I'm beating just you guys here up. I've been disappointed in my own members as well and there will be repercussions there as well.

I tried to give someone a chance when no one else would. I was hoping there would be a way for everyone to just get along, but I can see that's just not going to happen. My other admin will be dealing with this all from now on because I'm exhausted and I can't take it anymore.

Seems to me all this was caused by Tippy. Seems to me there is an obvious solution.

And letting a member post a rant about someone here then locking a thread is not giving everyone a chance.

I just wanted to post in support of Amy.
She has shown she's a kind heart by allowing Tippy there and giving her a chance.
While it will probably not work out, Amy has given Tippy a chance to make some ammends. Yes- too little, too late, still passing the blame onto everyone else, but that's not Amy's fault.

I'm very sorry, AmyB, for you personally for being banned from Kimkins. I'm sure you have a lot of conflicting feelings about that. You will make a happy place for yourself at whatever board you choose, and in time most of your friends will find you.

I do think Kimmer has made a terrible mistake. You are a good person, with good friends, and by being there you added credibility to the site. For that reason I'm selfishly glad you were banned. Kimmer doesn't deserve your help, and you don't need her. She has not won, Amy.

To me, Delaney seems like a person in need of a community. I do remember reading some of her snarky comments to members in Kimkins right before I left. She seemed to be high on power and was abusing this power. But to me, that is indicative of someone who was more interested in recognition and a sense of belonging. I can forgive that.

TT on the other hand is another story. She's just another snake who got kicked out of the viper pit when mama snake didn't want her around anymore. She would earn my kudos if took control of the hammer and deliver the final nail.

I agree! You have to know that when she used her real name, she had to know there would be a good chance that she would be found out - FAST! Had she just been there for "support" as she claims, she could have very easily used a million different names and never been found out.

Like several others on here, I joined Amy's site, and I did post a two word comment to Flippy. I regret that I did that because I respect what Amy is trying to do there by providing a safe and drama free haven for people. However, I feel that when Flippy joined there with her own name, SHE opened the door for the drama. I merely walked through it.

I agree with the reasoning that GinaC gave-That it was the mentality started and used by Kimmer to keep those at kimkins from coming here and finding out the truth about her. She thought if she made LCF the enemy that they would stay away. I also think it helped when she was willing to debate the real issues. It was Argumentum ad hominem at its finest or argument directed at the person. It we were just "haters" it implies a decreased value in what we are saying.

JWC you are totally correct in that being a true apology.
But I think the only way TT would ever come close to making a sincere apology is if someone else wrote it for her or unless she was paid to write one. Anyone can call me a hater or any name actually and unwelcome me at their site if that helps Tippy become a better person. But as it stands now the one in all this who should be explaining their actions is Heidi, Tippy and SL.
