I love how she looks in her father's glasses and it reminds me of when one of my twins was about her age he tore the big, thick, black framed fake glasses (no lenses) off his Sorry Charlie stuffed Tuna (remember him from the Chicken of the Sea commercials?) and wore them EVERYwhere (including bed. lol). We were in an elevator somewhere that I can't remember now and a woman riding with us reamed me out for being so mean to my son by purchasing such big, ugly glasses for my poor little boy. I didn't say anything. I just asked my son for the glasses for a minute, he took them off, I held them up in front of her and wiggled my fingers through the holes where the lenses were supposed to be. He put them back on and told her "I look handsome in these, lady." LOL
Tee hee!!! That's awesome. I think it's funny that she has those cheekies you just wanna munch to pieces, and my avi has my dd's little sister also named Ellie, with the same muchable cheekies

ETA: Babe that's awesome! She does know her stuff. I do enjoy when she busts out the nutrition knowledge here! Always makes such sense.

Thanks for the info. I suspected it was something to do with Heidi giving out bad advice but thought you meant H/K was putting her down and being nasty type of posts.
I hope I didn't make you feel uncomfortable asking.

Hello all! I'm back!

I've been doing Kimkins on my own for the past 6 weeks (well a variation of it I've had Ranch dressing)

I eat very lean (turkey) meats drink broth, I've had cabbage and lettuce but not in large quantities. Over the Thanksgiving holiday I went off plan and have been back on for exactly 8 days. This is the problem

I am down 2" on my waist from a whopping 50" to 48" I remeasured this morning to make sure this number is right and it is.

I've gained 1lb.

I'm not exercising at all. I don't understand how I can reduce in size around my belly and yet gain a lb, especailly when my calories are never over 800 daily...I'm just not losing. I keep telling myself to just stick with it...whatever is going on will eventually break but this is getting tough.

Today I've had:

1 large cup (32oz) of Chai Tea, that is 2 tea bags and hot water, nothing else added to it at all
2oz of turkey breast (from Thanksgiving - very dry, no condiments on it at all). I'm very satisfied and have been in ketosis for 4 out of the 8 days. I totally expected to see a much better weight loss than this.

I will have a large cup (about 32oz) of reduced sodium chicken broth for dinner. This is my plan for the next couple of weeks, the exact same menu.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
shiphips

Suggestions? YES...EAT!!
Oh, crap. I hope someone tells her to eat more. That's awful.

Poor Shiphips..Her metabolism is probably down the drain with what she has been eating..Plus all the sodium from the broth has made her retain fluids, too. I just can't understand how people can survive with so little food. Ketosis or not..I get hungry!!! This is NOT ketosis, it is a starvation response, methinks.

hahaha...AmyB just pushes it doesn't she?

am planning a lunch date with someone that I am so excited to meet. Mr. Jimmy Moore. I am from Spartanburg. Born and raised here. My whole family lives here in Spartanburg, so I visit often.
My step dad is sick in the hospital in Spartanburg and I am here to stay with him in the hospital.
I had told Jimmy a few months ago that when I came for a visit I would love to meet up with him. So I contacted him this week .
I am thinking I will be able to get away in a few days for lunch.

How funny that he lives a few streets from my mom.

I will post pics after we meet.

Wonder if Jimmy will make me stick to a LC meal...ha

Hmmm..I wonder what Amy and Jimmy will talk about? It was nice of Jimmy to agree to meet her.. Jimmy likes alot of mayo..rumor has it.. When he did KKins (sort of), I think he never really did it the Kimmer way..But probably did cut down on his portion size.

Coming across a blogger with the name Wifezilla can be a bit scary, but this 44-year old graphic designer from Colorado shouldn't be feared unless you're a low-fat loving lunatic! You see, she's a wholehearted supporter of livin' la vida low-carb because she overcame two decades of obesity as a result of this way of eating. And she knows her stuff, too--check out how you can be "Partyin' Low-Carb" and some really "Stupid Things" about low-carb that you need to be aware of. I LOVE IT!!! Go Wifezilla and keep tellin' them like it is! Contact her and ask her what she thinks. I'm sure she'd be happy to tell you.
WTG Wifezilla! Anyone have a link to her blog? I'd love to read it.

I ate quite a bit of food on KK and still wasn't getting the nutrition I needed. I got really good at eating very low fat, low carb, low calorie foods so when I said what I ate it sounded like a good amount of food but in reality it was so nutritionally bankrupt that I was doing myself in and didn't even know it. I can't imagine eating so little. Scary.

I'm not feeling too hungry this morning either, but I'm usually not anyway. Right now I'm enjoying lemon tea, Dannon 3 carb yogurt and watching sprinkles of our first rain of the season. It rarely rains in southern California so when it does we aren't quite sure what to do, LOL. When we have heavy rains, we've actually had people call in sick at work. I compare this to people from back east where severe weather is the norm. They'd wonder about us crazy Californians...............</SPAN>

Dearest Kimmer,

awesome job on figuring out the change you needed to make to start the scale moving again, high five!!! yahoo!!!!!

I am not really a morning eater only onceeeeeeeeeee in a while lol.

when you described the sprinkles of rain outside the window... you were so de_script_ive that I felt like I was looking out the window watching the rain too! YOU should really consider being a writer

have a great evening, huggies, fawn

Forgive me all if this has been addressed:

There was a thread RE: Moderating Team started by I believe singinglass, and It has been removed. The last post to that thread was today.

Now to confuse you all even more, I have a radio interview (for the web) this coming Monday. It is for internet marketing and I will be interviewed by a guru.

I will be discussing my report I am working on that tells my story about the kimkins scam and my affiliate marketing.

The Guru who is doing the interview has a list of subscribers of easily a million people. The word about kimkins could really fly with this.

I can whip up a web page with a sign up for you all if you're interested in listening. Anyway, let me know.
