It was a little upsetting that people here joined my board today just to say snarky things to Tippy and see what she's said there. If you are honestly there to check out my forum and contribute, that's great. I just was upset that people joined just to post a few pot shots at tippy. You guys have this whole forum to do that kind of stuff.

To be honest, I try to stay out of it. I don't want to be in the middle of a low carb war! There are a few people who are outspoken but most people on my board just want to keep to their journals and challenges and stick to the task at hand - losing weight.

I understand your concern, and as you can tell I haven't posted yet. I did email a member and tell her that her comments hurt me. If you can read pm's you should take a look at her response. It was pleasant....not really.

Amy, again, I hate to repeat this kind of stuff, but I like to handle this stuff in the best way possible and given my respect for you I would never post negative things on your blog. But I wanted to address those things with you, because you do have members who had commented on the comments made by that particular poster.

And I agree with you, emotions run high on this issue on both sides. And to comment on the pregnant girl, we remember that exchange, and sadly if you remember we had been given mis info on the situation and you cleared it up. Once you cleared it up, we apologized, well I know I did. And didn't speak of it again. And we appreciated you clearing that up as well as the true b/a pics. We aren't in this to hurt people. We are in this to help people. But making comments about how we must be fat, lonely, sad, bored, stupid bla bla bla, doesn't help anything one way or the other does it. I never said osuz must really need a good long schtuping, however based on her posts one might surmise that. But I never said it cuz this isn't a personal issue. This is about educating people and getting the word out about how the diet can be used incorrectly.

I hope you didn't take offense to anything I said to you, as again I have nothing but respect for you

I didn't join Amy's site to look nor post. My only comments would be...

There is a difference between "Kind Hearted" and "Enabling". Glean what you want from that statement. Amy can do whatever she wants on her board.

Amy, It was done as more of wanting to let tippy know that she was not incognito, more than to take pot shots. If I was there to say more to her I would have, but I was there to just to make her aware that we realized she was no longer at kimkins and was posting there. Nothing more, Nothing less.
Like I said earlier I didn't know you were aware, because it was obvious from TT's posts, that she was not claiming to be the prior PR person from Kimkins in your forum. In fact just the opposite. She read as just a kimkins member who saw the scam, leaving out the fact she participated in the scam.

The deception by her and kimkins has gone on long enough and I didn't want it to continue on another site. I also didn't want TT to continue to deceive the same people who were already deceived in this entire saga.
Again it was not intended to disrespect what you have done in your forum, but to let everyone know who was amongst them.

ITA, Honey....Because TT was posting over there and trying to act like she did not know much about KK and people not know it was her (except osuz, who invited her...), it needed to be made known who she was.

Amy, You have a very nice site and I have looked at it a number of times but there are people there who I am not comfortable with due to past stuff with them at KK (not here). I've thought about joining before because I've always liked your video's and would like a cookbook. I did join today to say HI to TT to let her know, we know. That was it. I do plan on going back off and on but have not yet decided what plan I want to follow and am currently a bit busy with other stuff. I do admire you for turning the other cheek even if you do not remember her or what she has said about you and other Admins. If TT can move on with a clean consence (sp?) and try to follow a plan over there and be human, more power to her. However, do be aware that some of her dealing with KK may follower her later (lawsuit, etc.).

I also belong to Jimmy's site so I move around also. I think the support of these sites are very helpful in our weightloss journeys.

So Tippy left, and Kimmer is lying about where and why....WHAT A SUPRISE!!! I know it has been said a million times, but you couldn't write a book with this story without people declaring that it is a ridiculous premise. Daily I shake my head. I hope that the people at the Morning Show are notified that she jumped ship - there might be an update to the story possibility - especially with the deposition tapes. Every little bit helps.

Thanks! Shiphips posted at kk a lot back in May. I don't like to get into picking apart kk members posts here. I'll just say that I think shiphips receive dangerous advice from Heidi. I know many people did but this was an exchange of posts where Christin and Deni attempted to provide healthy solutions and Heidi stepped in to directly contradict them and preach her starvation diet. I took screen shots because I thought there was a reckless disregard to Heidi's posts. It was disturbing.

I want to start by saying that I honestly believe that Amy made her choice with a very big heart. I'm not putting her down for it but, on the other hand, I have concerns too.
What I fear is that some members there are now put in a position of waiting things out in silence in order to keep the peace. That starts to take on the appearance of acceptance, when really they're enduring. When you've found a place you trust, a place where you feel comfortable, confident, and supported it's a real asset to your weight loss efforts. For many when you start stuffing feelings, you start stuffing food (raising hand).

Hello all! I'm back!

I've been doing Kimkins on my own for the past 6 weeks (well a variation of it I've had Ranch dressing)

I eat very lean (turkey) meats drink broth, I've had cabbage and lettuce but not in large quantities. Over the Thanksgiving holiday I went off plan and have been back on for exactly 8 days. This is the problem

I am down 2" on my waist from a whopping 50" to 48" I remeasured this morning to make sure this number is right and it is.

I've gained 1lb.

I'm not exercising at all. I don't understand how I can reduce in size around my belly and yet gain a lb, especailly when my calories are never over 800 daily...I'm just not losing. I keep telling myself to just stick with it...whatever is going on will eventually break but this is getting tough.

Today I've had:

1 large cup (32oz) of Chai Tea, that is 2 tea bags and hot water, nothing else added to it at all
2oz of turkey breast (from Thanksgiving - very dry, no condiments on it at all). I'm very satisfied and have been in ketosis for 4 out of the 8 days. I totally expected to see a much better weight loss than this.

I will have a large cup (about 32oz) of reduced sodium chicken broth for dinner. This is my plan for the next couple of weeks, the exact same menu.

Any suggestions?
