Perhaps I misunderstood, but I think I read it - if not here- then in one of the links to court cases. At any rate, SOMEONE was quite bitter about a mother kicking her own son out in order to get more money from a paying foster child. This statement goes back weeks, and I'm too tired to look for it again tonight. Maybe someone with a better memory than mine also recalls reading this???

Has anyone tried to cut n paste from Kimkins lately.
I have tried to share some things THREE times now and my computer CRASHES at the same point in the cut n paste process.
I know that Kimkins was down for a few hours over the weekend and I wonder if they upgraded some things?!?!? I am not sure what or how but I find it odd.
I am going to try to post this thread in a few different posts...

Nah you don't have to do that silly hehe. I just wanted to know where that info came from. I haven't seen it or heard it from the family, so I found it odd that's all I just am a facts are facts kinda gal especially since we get hammered all the time for "lying" when in fact we aren't. You know, coverin our own butts here haha.

It could have been here and it could have just been speculation and sometimes that does get mixed up with fact. Funny thing is I can't remember my high school boyfriends name but ask me anything about Heidi and I'll tell you in 1 sec flat, that's pretty bad haha.

Edit @ Chevelston, nah you aren't nagging and no I'm not the info queen. I again just like to make sure everyone is up to date on info we actually have. As I said above we have all done a healthy bit of speculating on these threads, so it's good to inject the info we know to be true every now and then for the new folks I totally wasn't trying to be snarky. You know, this totally rings a bell with me too. I "thought" I read it here in one of the Fascination threads, a long while back... I "think" about the time the question/answer piece from Heidi's ex-husband's wife was posted. If that make sense...? I don't really remember where I read it, but I did read it in a posting somewhere.

Very sad article recently in the Inland News (covers Corona, Calif.). Tragically, a 2-year-old drowned in a bathtub in private foster care when her foster mother downed some meds and apparently passed out.

The article mentions, "...the state is not reimbursing county foster parents enough, driving many to private foster-care agencies. The private agencies -- about 50 operate in the Inland region -- typically cater to children with more severe needs and receive more public funds. Thus, they are able to better compensate parents. "

The article also says, "Once a child is placed in a privately certified home, a county social worker maintains contact with the foster child at least once a month."

If there are 50 private agencies in the area, wouldn't it be possible that Heidi did have a foster kid through one? Could all of them possibly have been checked? If a county worker had to visit once a month wouldn't Riverside County have that in their records somewhere?

I have been losing my hair now for 4 weeks... half my hair volume is gone! It literally comes out by the hand fulls when I wash it. It showers down when I comb it. Do you have any idea when this might begin to stop? I have been on KK since 7/17 and have lost 52 lbs. I have started taking Nioxin once a day and using the shampoo. Is it possible to lose all of my hair ? What should I do?

As I have posted in my journal...I am in the same place you are . I am really bummed about my hair. I have spoken with my Dr and was told it is the diet. I have started the meds we talked about and will let you know if it helps. From reading post...we are not alone with our thinning hair. I hope we all can figure out how to help it.Let me know if you go see your GP about it.

Amy, how did your doctor modify Kimkins for you? I'm sure when you went to see him with handfuls of hair coming out he did something. When do you see him again? .

Yep he did. he told me to stop KK and to add more of everything back in. To be honest he was not so pro any of the KK plan options I showed him. But after we talked for a while we worked out some plans of adding foods back in a little at a time. We call it a compromise.
So yes he did something...he took time to listen and talk with me about long term goals for weight and health. He also talked to me about some supplements I can add as a bonus. This should help me.
While you were gone I posted some about my hair loss.
I guess this is a common issue with many people who are losing weight on any hard core plan.

I am not sure who you are saying is asking for personal medical advice. I did ask Dr. Mark a while ago about some herbs for hair and Vit D issues. But then again...I have read tons of post where people are asking Dr. Mark much more in dept medical questions. and figured that is what he was on this site for.
My Dr did tons of blood work on me and we made a plan for me from that. It is a simple plan to add some foods back in . I also am taking some new herbs/ Vit to help with everything

MM3- i'm not Dr Mark either but everything I have read about rapid weight loss usually will have hair loss happening around the 4 or 5 month mark. and yep think we have rapid weight loss here. but its not permanent hair loss usually. of course seeing your physician is the thing to do honestly the health benefits I got from losing the extra weight far out weigh (sorry for pun) a temporary hair loss to me. imho is all
