ETA: Also, bear in mind that not all health damages show up right away. Many people who have been happy with Kimkins up until now mayl NOT be happy later when they are diagnosed hypothyroid, or when they realize their metabolism is shot to heck and they can hardly eat anything in maintenance. That doesn't even take it account those who are being diagnosed with new eating disorders that they never had before. Nor does it factor in the emotional upheaval she has caused.

She should not be allowed to keep any money she committed fraud to get.

Not only were these people scammed, hurt emotionally and some physically...But there is a de-programing that has to take place. First, they are scared of leaving the relationships and support they had in the group. THEN, they have to realize that everything they were taught (By Kimmer) was a lie and not true. They have to learn what low carb REALLY is and how to eat all over again. Put on top of that the fear of gaining the weight back that they lost and a host of other issues.

Dang it, if these people want or need to "vent" in this thread or do a silly crazy joke and just be goofy...or try to find out what else is going on in the Kimpire, well...I think they have earned the right to do that without other people's judgement.

Give them a break. (I know I am preaching to the choir, but I need to vent here) lol

You know how Heidi/Kimmer made it this far? All you need for Evil to prevail is have a few good Men or Women do NOTHING! That's how.

We have learned from the past (and are still learning) and it will never happen again.

I am tired of Becky, Christin, and Deni feeling like they need to apologize to everyone. You 3 didn't have the biggest part in this, you were just the most visible. For goodness sake... WE ALL had a part in it. Me? I didn't do anything for years. I just stayed away. (all you need for evil to prevail is for a few good men or women to do NOTHING). After the fascination thread, I was NOT going to shut up. Too many good people were conned and hurt by that woman.

I had people I had known for years on here pissed at me. Believe it or not, it didn't hurt my feelings. Right is Right and Wrong is Wrong. The truth always has a way of coming out. But now, we need to keep the truth coming out so that other people aren't hurt. Also, (like I said before) people need to talk and vent. Everyone is at different stages.

Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now. I don't know where that all came from, but I guess I needed to say it.

I'm thankful for these threads. I thought Kimmer was real and my old low carb friend. When I saw the WW article, I emailed her to congratulate her. I didn't join her site because, quite frankly I THOUGHT she was just selling what we all had been chatting about for years. I did TRY her WW diet. It lasted a day. I couldn't get though a day without mayo in my tuna.
The SAD thing is my own daughter started it with me. We are both educated women who wanted to break a plateau. She couldn't give up cheese. Neither of us made it to day 2.

Yep, my boys are growing up. Remember the Scud Missile Story? LMAO It's posted all over the internet and has been sent in lots of emails. I am getting older, I have the wrinkles and gray hairs to prove it!! LOL Mike gave me the most gray hairs. He was a Marine in Iraq in the battle of fallujah. I aged 10 years in November 2004. He lost alot of buddies who had visited me alot. He is out of the Marines now and home. I can sleep again, but Boy did all that take it's toll on me. I swear It was like living with the Grim Reaper breathing down your neck, but he wasn't after me, he wanted my son. That is true terror.

But, Life is Good now. I can sleep and breath again. I sure don't take anything for granted anymore.

I need to get this back on topic (begging mercy from the mods because I have missed Winslow) You see, now that Kimmer is exposed you and I can be healthy grandmas and in good health, because we won't follow that plan. Thank God, you and your daughter couldn't stick with it. I wanted to tell you so badly about Kimkins, but where the heck do I start? I'm just so glad you know the truth now.

That's my kind of girl..I think many of those WW people who Kimmer took in with that article NEVER made it to Day 2 either. Unfortunately, they made Kimmer alot of money...but at least they got out in time..

Hi Carolyn. I agree. I actually wrote a letter to WW magazine after I as enlightened. I just mailed it yesterday. I told them it would be irresponsible not to retract the endorsement. I SHOULD have asked for a refund.

I'm preparing Fauxtatoes and Au Gratin Fauxtatoes right now for tomorrow, and then I'm gonna make some LC punkin' pie and LC cheesecake mousse. I've found these things to be sooo much better than sugar cookies with sprinkles, though I doubt one person out there thinks so.
