Oh, I'm bashing so hard that my rotator cuff hurts. But I'm on the outside of the Kimpound, where I have access to The Truth, uncensored and unbannable. I'm just thinking of the people who don't have access to the info that I have, or who are so caught up in the situation that they can't see what's really going on.

Anyway, I want to jump in here with an observation on this "personality change" going on.

One of the issues she is getting nailed with now in the lawsuit is that she has been doling out this advice without being qualified to do so. It looks to me like she is trying to set up a defense - one that says see, I don't act like I know it all? I've just been sharing my thoughts like all of these other untrained people. Now, of course anyone with a live braincell can see right through that, but it sure is similar to other people I've encountered with this sort of personality.

I totally agree with your psycologist friend that this person has endured some intense trauma somewhere - most likely starting in early childhood. Wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't become part of her defense as well.

Honeybee, how on earth did you uncover the Russian Bride thing? That is absolutely incredible to me (I read your blog about the success stories). I don't think it would have ever occured to me (if I were going to pull off a scam like she has done) to even steal photos like that or from that source.
That is a valid point and it may be part of her contrived scheme or it could be her way of excusing herself later, maybe not it a court of law, but to her devotees.
The Russian brides search was started by the brilliant idea of a member named Cilantro who thought the pictures looked European. She went looking under the European dating sites and actually found the first confirmed fraudulent success story she said almost by luck. The pic she found was posted at kimkins as the person called Annette. This finding was posted by Kiki over here on LCF and it snowballed from there. We all working together were able to get the stories that you see as proven false. The icing on the cake was when Buzzybee found Lesya the 'red dress' Kimmer! It was better than Christmas!

Yeah, maybe she should try that now. Ha!

Or, maybe she should start a site touting the sugar cookie and yogurt shake diet. By looking at her newest pic, I'd say that's really doing well for her, and making her arms and torso longer, too.

I know hindsight is 20/20, but if I had seen the waterfasting 150 pounds off thing, I never would have listened to another word out of her mouth.

Someone should start a Debunking the Kimkins Diet blog and post all of this crazy stuff that Heidi has said over the years and the fallacy included therein...as a resource for anybody who is tempted to believe a word she says. Any volunteers? Wordpress is free!

I only began with binge-eating issues after eating such low calories.
(PB being my very favorite binge food).

I now maintain at 102, which seems a healthy weight for me, as I am quite small boned.

I still struggle with PB issues.

The reason I'm leaving the maintenance forum is because I feel that too mainy "maintainers" cannot accept healthy fats or carbs.

Oh and to make it worse, she actually doesn't "water" fast....it's diet coke fasting. (I edited the quote to show where she says it)

I just saw the video from the show here

I am cracking up over TT use of "nutritionalist" several times, and the doc guy saying "no respectable doctor would be associated with this diet".

Maybe Dr. Mark officially changed his title to Mr. Mark.

Boy have I lost some hair. LOL No warning either. A couple weeks after I left I decided to take a shower before going to bed. I had just gotten done posting at Jimmy's forum and it was a bit late. So I'm washing my hair and as I'm rinsing and rubbing the soap out of my face, it just feels weird. Like there's something scratchy on my hands. I rinsed my hands off and looked down. There was a lot of hair caught in the trap. We have a nice large walk-in shower and the plastic mesh part of the drain cover/trap is 3-1/4" across.

My hair is shorter, layered a bit, and very fine. I had lots of it though so it was never an issue. I also had finally gotten all of the hair dye out by letting it grow and cutting it out. You could even see the beginning of natural highlights. I know it's vain but my hair was the only thing on my self improvement list that was just about done. I was going to let it grow a bit longer. Not now!

I see the hair and figure that it's done shedding so I go to wash it the second time. Nope, more hair. ...And yet more hair in the drain after I condition it. At the end, the entire drain was completely covered with my hair. Not just a thin layer either. Completely covered to where the only part of the trap you could actually see was the very center and that's because of the company logo is there.

I got out of the shower, sat down in my towel and just started to cry. I was so upset. I finally got dressed and had therapy. My therapy was with Ben & Jerry in the Cherry Garcia Room. Then there was a bowl of kettle korn. It was 9/18 and my first real cheat since 6/25. I know the date because I got on the computer and posted (ranted) about it in my journal at Jimmy's site.

I continued to cover the drain with my hair every time I took a shower. The week before Halloween, it began to decrease. Now only half the drain is was being covered. In the past week it has decreased even more. Now it's less than a 1/4 of the drain being covered. Just this past week I started to notice new growth in various lengths. The stubble looking newbie hairs are what I noticed first.

Other than biotin and fish oil, I highly recommend walnuts, lots of omega-3's and they have as much fiber as they do carbs. Carb neutral nuts!!

I've also had very itchy skin but only in my arm pits. Weird place, I know but there it is. There has also been an increase in pain in my hips. The hips seem to be getting better. I've been exercising (T-Tapp) and spreading out my calcium supplements during the day with food for maximum benefit. It's weird to get more hip pain after losing 45 pounds. Maybe it's because I'm more active now.

I still have a hard time eating veggies other than lettuce and cucumbers. That's mostly because I never really ate a bunch of them. Growing up it was corn, peas, green beans, cucumbers, lettuce, & tomatoes. That's about it. As an adult I discovered that I liked broccoli, cauliflower, grilled asparagus, and fresh spinach. It's still a work in progress.

Where is the Kimkins Survivors thread? Is that here or over at Jimmy's.

Hi Lee Anne and welcome!

There isn't a calorie limit on any Kimkins plan. I suppose Boot Camp would be the most stringent, but there's still calorie variety there, too. Calories count but we don't count calories.

Kimkins: Unlimited lean protein and up to 4 cups of veggies (no calorie limit)
K/E: Unlimited protein (no calorie limit)
Shake Option: Up to 800 calories
Boot Camp: No calorie limit, but portions are limited

Someone wrote me yesterday and said that a former admin told them to keep their calories between 500-800. Huh? I've been reading that Kimkins has a 500 calorie limit and I couldn't figure out for the life of me where that came from! Now I know.

For the Record: There is no limit with Kimkins. If the 500-800 figure was published on this site, that was an error.

On the other hand, I don't believe in the 1200 calorie minimum that floats about when people discuss diets. I don't believe in forcing ourselves to eat or picking foods to reach some "minimum".

Our focus is on nonfatty protein choices and nutrient dense leafy greens plus supplements. Take out junk and superfluous fat and weight loss is rapid.

Anyone who feels mislead because they joined because of the red dress and/or success stories which were a compilation of previous stories over the years, can certainly get a refund and we're asking that those requests by in by 11/17/07
oh my I just love the way she skims over the "limited portion" fact of Kimkins and then calls previous stated calories a mistake.
No mistake kimmer! Or the mistake is still coming out of your mouth now. Break out a calculator and figure up the calories of those limited portions on bootcamp you twit! Then the calories on the gram counts you posted on how much protein, fat and carbs one should be consuming...LIES LIES LIES!!!

OH and sure it was "the red dress" that misled us or made us join! You make it sound like we were at the GAP shopping! I was not looking for a damn outfit kimmer, so the 'red dress' is not the reason I was misled. It was you claiming
that the picture was you in the red dress. You get it kimmer it was you.

I could actually see the little hairs growing on cristin's head. I had to pause the show and they were clearly visible.

She looked the best I've seen her. That WW mag pic was not the greatest. Not bashing her, that wasn't her fault. Bad photographers.

Maybe that's Heidi's problem, just bad photographers

I really hope Heidi makes goal back on Atkins (even if she still calls it Kimkins for the nonce) just to prove that the doctor knew more than she did. But somehow, she's giving herself only 6 months to lose 100 lbs. Methinks she believes her own press and will try for a Christin-type diet. Yo, Heidi, Christin is not only a 1/4 century younger than you, hasn't had a trashed thyroid, nor developed diabetes, nor a wonky liver from past liquid indiscretions, nor a history of severe yo-yo dieting and auto-immune diseases. And she STILL developed various problems, the least of them being hair loss. At your age, I'd truthfully worry about a heart attack from extreme dieting. May is just a calendar date; death is final. Reread DANDR, Heidi. The Doc lays out the basic steps to losing weight healthfully. Really read it. He doesn't advocate a high-fat diet for everyone; but he's dead set against high protein diets w/o fat and veggies. Research has shown that those diets are killers. And Heidi, NO TRICK MIRRORS, OK?
So...I wonder whose pics she'll be posting to show her progress

What the heck - these people paid $60 for the opposite. It is insane if you ask me. How these people don't see this is beyond me.
This really bothers me! Why on earth would I pay $60! I almost did, back when I first joined LCF and read kimmers stuff and saw she had a website.

I still actually secretly struggle with the thought of doing Kimkins (not joining the site) and just deal with the consequences later. I did feel desperate to lose weight and I still feel desperate.

Sigh I know that is very crazy. I wish I had never run into that crazy plan and lost a fast, exhilarating 20 pounds so quickly (I have gained back 10 due to my binge eating).

She's saying that she lost 100lbs and relapsed. How can everyone at KK just gloss over the fact that from the start, even if she did relapse, it was a big FAT lie.
I dunno, she claims to have lost 100 pounds 4 times now. Maybe it was one of these that triggered her alopecia. She may even have been thin ... for 30 seconds between the losing fast and gaining fast. I figure one weekend of stolen joy with the Captain probably shot her up at least 10 pounds. Who cares if it's mostly water weight? You still can't pour yourself into that red dress. And unlike the sleek outlines of many dieters (not me!), she'd have odd bumps, lumps and protrusions unless cinched to a last gasp in a body corset thingamabob. I feel that at one time, Heidi was near enough normal size to remember what it was like - but likely not in the last 10 years!
