know you are working hard on re losing your weight. But can you tell me how you lost your weight originally. Did you follow KK/ KE/ Shakes/ Fast etc? How long did it take you to lose the weight and how long did you keep it off.

I also am curios if you followed any type of maintenance for a while before you gained the weight back. Or did your weight gain come from going off plan pretty hard and gained the weight back. I am scared that I might not ever be able to eat more regular and not gain a lot of weight back. Or even add a little bit of this or that back on occasion.

The reason I am asking this is I need you to help me with something. I feel really stressed about something. I am at 137 everyday for a few days. I know I will not lose fast anymore, I am excited to be where I am at. Yesterday I ate on track, same foods as always. Last night I had 4 cookies. I was at church and even brought my KK food with me and ate it . Then ate the cookies. I gained a pound this morning. A whole pound off 4 cookies. Cookies do not cause water weight. So I assume it is a real pound.

Now I realize that when I hit goal I will gradually add foods back and cookies will not be a daily choice. But is my body so sensitive that I eat a few cookies and I gain. I hate the idea of never being able to have a treat here or there.

I am not real sure what I am asking you. I just wanted to see what your thoughts are _base_d on your past experience with this plan.

Poor girl...has now clue. Hope she enjoys the weight loss while she can!!

Here's Kimmer's response

When I lost weight it was a variety of Kimkins plan including periodic fasting which I do for stress release more than anything. Maintenance is where I have a problem because carbs cause hunger. Once hunger kicks in I'm in trouble. Rum & coke are carbs.

Cookies do cause water weight gain because they are carbs. When you first start low carb it takes a few days to exhaust your glycogen stores. When it does happen, you get the water weight loss "whoosh". Now, when you add carbs back (especially if suddenly), the water weight gain comes back quickly ... maybe even overnight.

It's tough. I'd say keep the cookies out of the house, but that's hard when you have kids. What does your challenge group say? Lots of successful people (and smart) are bound to have good ideas for you.
Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable

I find it horrendous and nauseating that Kimmer admits that she is a stress eater.... when she sent KiKi (where has she been?) a nasty email and ended it with 'I hope I don't cause you stress eat'. WTH? I have been SO perturbed by that ever since I read her admission of being a stress eater yesterday. I am pretty sure she has said the same thing to other folk 'I hope I don't cause you to stress eat'.

Seems like all the foul **** she has said to other people are actual things that she herself struggles with. I ain't hating on her for struggling, I am hating on her for being evil. (*(&*(&)P$#*@!&^)(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! (insert any multitude of cuss words here).

And accusing people of being too weak and greedy to follow her starvation plan? WTH???? She couldn't even follow it?

I want to hurl.

Hi Flower!
Sorry about the dates, I wasn't trying to deceive. I stand corrected. Kimmer was here when it was the old format. I remember when there was voting for friend of the month there were often: Kimmer......Kimmer.....Kimmer....Kimmer......Kimme r.....Kimmer....Kimmer......Kimmer.....Kimmer....K immer......Kimmer.....Kimmer....Kimmer......Kimmer ..... nomination posts.

I only began with binge-eating issues after eating such low calories.
(PB being my very favorite binge food).

I now maintain at 102, which seems a healthy weight for me, as I am quite small boned.

I still struggle with PB issues.

The reason I'm leaving the maintenance forum is because I feel that too mainy "maintainers" cannot accept healthy fats or carbs.

Thanks to those of you who have supported me here!

Oh the things you can make with PNB.... Have you obstained from it, or take it in small portions now?

you get right back on this horse, do you hear me? Life happens.

I love all of these bios! Some of you I've known for awhile, but I never really "knew" you. Mentioning all of the diets everyone has tried took me down memory lane. I didn't try all of them (I learned about low carb when I was teenager), but I remember each one.

Wasn't Susan Powter a kick! I don't agree with her diet philosophy, but I read one of her books with her life story and that's a girl I can identify with.

Gary, excellent advice about testing for levels. That never occurred to me. My current health plan let's me email questions directly to my doctor (saves on co-pays too) and I'm going to ask if he'll add a calcium check to my list of blood work in January.

Timeline for the challenge -- how about May? That's my personal challenge to see whether I can hit goal by my birthday, May 10. What is my goal weight? I'll know it when I see it in the mirror.

I'll be back later to say "howdy" to all ... you're such an encouraging bunch!

Or spreads the word that she doesn't look anything at all like this:

Does she really expect people to believe that the person in this picture is the slimmed down version of the person who - just a few weeks ago - was photographed looking FAR bigger than even the before picture she's using now? Can she honestly believe that she can continue to lie and she won't get busted? Again?

And another thing....I listened to TT's interview again and had to laugh when she said that she thought Kimmer really did lose weight but fell off the wagon and gained it all back. If there ever was a time when Kimmer was a healthy weight, where are THOSE pictures? Why use fake pictures at all if there was any point in time where Kimmer was successful losing weight? Could it be TT never saw them and Kimmer never used them because they don't exist? Because Kimmer has never actually been successful on her own diet?

How can people on her website not be asking these questions?

OT - but does anyone know why I can't see any pictures that you all are posting? When I quote this, I can tell that the image URL is still there, so it isn't an admin-removal issue (which is what I previously thought). Any help would be appreciated.

The homemade shake I had made was with Dannon Carb Control yogurt, 1 envelope of a trial whey protein powder and Crystal Light ice cubes. OK, but not super.

Just saw the new journal. SHE'S ASKING FOR ADVICE???

Yeah, I have several comments about the egg whites as a beverage, and GAAAAACK is the kindest, gentlest way I can phrase it. OTOH, I was feeling a bit peckish before lunch, and the menu has acted as an effective appetite suppressant. So, that's the silver lining, I guess.....
