The information to the Mike and Juliet Show is being handled by certain folks. I was asked to pass on not to "overwhelm" them with emails. Believe me, they are getting all the "good stuff" already. It will be very interesting..

Yes, Monday is a holiday in more ways than one..It's not called Veteran's Day for nothing. Many battles have been won by our armed forces to allow our freedoms that we enjoy today. We have had the freedom to fight Kimkins and the health issues that it has brought upon unsuspecting women. We have had the freedom to expose the fraudulent behavior of Heidi Diaz to the public. It's a very fitting holiday as we see justice done.

Susie: Glad your ds was okay..scarey stuff, huh?

Oh my goodness!!! I'm sorry about your sons! My rotator cuff has been torn twice, so I feel his pain. Did they refer him to an orthopedic surgeon?

Thanks, Just4Me. I read that link before and it makes me feel better. What gets me is it's like a delayed reaction thing. It starts falling out a couple of months after quitting KK's.

Thanks, MagicsMom, for caring. I'm sure it will get better. It's just such a creepy experience. My SIL has alopecia. She has no hair anywhere on her body due to an autoimmune disease. She says it doesn't bother her, but it's bound to. My brother says he thinks it's probably better when it all falls out rather than wondering if it's all going to.

After losing 103 pounds, I lost quite a bit of hair. Although there were never any bald spots, it thinned out a lot. It was very thick to begin with, so I didn't really miss the hair, but it did come out in shockingly big amounts every time I brushed or washed it. It did all come back and is as thick as ever. I can understand how scary it must be for you.

Susi- Wow, what a stressful day!! Your sons sound like my brothers! They started knocking teeth out and breaking bones at such a young age...all in the name of sports and fun! I was too prissy for that type of thing.

But I hope everyone recovers quickly and you get some much needed R&R.
Have a good night!

Rebel, Mine did the exact same thing. I thought I had escaped the major hair loss but about 3 months to the day that I started Kimkins my hair really started to fall out. That was a month after I stopped the diet!!
An article in emedicine states that whatever the triggering event is that causes the hair loss, in our case malnutrition/starvation, the average time before the hair loss occurs is 3 months from whatever was the triggering event. Now, the range is 1-6 months depending on one's hair growth cycle as one of the factors. But I did kimkins for 2 months and had stopped for a month when it suddenly started to fall out by the handfuls. It is slowing down now and I am taking biotin as well. I posted this article before but in case you missed it or in case it could help anyone here it is again- Link
It will get better.

Honey, Thanks for the encouragement. I said bald spots, but it's just so thin in places that is almost looks like bald spots.

I'm taking the biotin, fish oil, and a multivitamin. I also started the Rogaine. I'm doing it morning and night. I was using it for a while, but a friend of mine who owns a salon said that I need to do it religiously, so I am. I got the men's formula as some suggested.

I really enjoy your posts and I appreciate all the work that you and others have put into bringing KK's down. I will be glad to see it gone.

I know what you mean about the "bald spots" where it is just very thin. Mine seems to be more inform in how I have lost it, except around my hairline it seems more drastic. I still have been lucky because thank goodness I have always had a lot of hair, but it still is a very gross sensation to see hair everywhere. I lost 48-52 pounds in the two months I was on Kimkins and although I did supplements while on kimkins it of course didn't help when the calories were so low.

You know what got me to rethink my eating habits while on kimkins...my daughter. She was watching how little I ate. She is only 6 y.o but I caught her saying, "I haven't eaten anything today", like she was proud and it made me sick to my stomach. Then I realized that I was not setting the example I needed to be setting for my kids.

That is what got me to step back and realize what this way of eating had turned into .....a way of not eating! I am with you on the sooner Kimkins can be shut down the better for everyone who has been harmed or could be harmed by that WOE.

Thank you for the kind comment...I hope I have helped in my own way in the fight against kimkins. I know each one of us have done something to make our voice heard and I am so proud of all of us! I know with us all working together we have brought about amazing results thus far and, unlike my WOE before, this is something I feel is setting the right example for my daughter. She can see that when a person sees wrong being done they can take a stand and their efforts will make a difference!

BTW-I love your house! It reminds me of a gingerbread house.

Yeah, the interesting thing about arrogance is that it always seems to overplay its hand. It almost seems that arrogance and limited mental capacity go hand in hand.

I had to come out of lurking mode to say that we all know that tt and singinglass read this thread more than they read kimmers. I think this is as some one else stated, BS BS BS! I don't think that Heidi is going to foot the bill for tt and singinglass to fly to defend the kimpire. I think this is tippys way to say in your face. And of course her dh body guard would have to go along. I don't buy it for one second. IF they were going to interview any one why wouldn't it be the creator of this diet? I Do HOPE THAT TT SHOWS UP THO. And YIPPE I can see it on my local channel. I just couldn't find the air time for it. I will look into it tho and be sure not to miss watching tt make an even bigger fool of her self. Maybe the tv station is going to foot the bill just to get them in the spot light and watch them try and squirm their way out of this one. TOO late tippy, they have all the ammunition, all the stuff that happened before you did the so called clean up at the kimpire. They know the real story, and I am sure they have seen the segment the other news channel did, seen the PI photos and read of all the health problems kimmers has caused. SO YES tippy, please go and let us all see you wiggle and squirm on national TV, This will be as much fun as as it was watching Heidi run from the tv reporter, NO WAIT even more FUN! SEE YOU ON TV TIPPY! And do wear that hidious bikini.

Honey - My husband started worrying about how little I was eating. No one else ever really knew. Isn't it crazy that you can go from eating everything in sight to eating nothing? I don't think that some people who haven't experienced it still understand it. They don't seem to understand how we could be so "weak."

Oh, well, at least we have all come together for the cause. I'm glad I have "met" people like you. I hope we become better acquainted over time.

Thanks for the compliments on our house. It was a long process to renovate it. There is a smaller house behind it that you can't see in the picture. I lived in it before we married and we lived in it while we were working on the "big" house. We rented it as Sweet Dreams Cottage Bed & Breakfast for a while until my parents got sick and I was trying to work and take care of them.

It's a joy to live here. It does seem like living in a big doll house.

Ok ladies that reminds me of one of my favorite quotes-
"It's not what you don't know that hurts you; it's what you think you know that isn't so."attributed to Mark Twain

Here is another one that well....shoot me but it came to mind too.

I think it is time you took a serious look at your life and what is important. You are attacking a stranger based solely on being a disgruntled Kimkins “victim.” You obviously have an extraordinary amount of hate built up inside you and need an outlet. Why was this outlet me?

I am a man, with a wife and children, that has dedicated his life to helping EVERYONE HE COMES IN CONTACT WITH. I find that quite sad.”

“I enclosed this picture just so you could get a personal perspective on what you are doing. This is my family, my two children and my new wife. Did you know that every other Friday I drive 5 hours to pick them up for the weekend, only to bring them back Sunday afternoon? Did you know I have been doing this for six years? I love them and would do anything to make them grow up healthy, strong and loved. Did you know my wife is in the health and healing professions? Did you know that we have been inseparable since we met four years ago? I even take her on the road with me for seminars. Of course you didn’t. The little box on your desk didn’t tell you that. You just saw an “enemy” whether he was good or bad.

The internet is filled with people, both good and bad, but nonetheless people. They have lives and families. Most of them are honest and caring, some are not. I just thought someone should let you know.

Yours in Health,

Mark T Brinson and Family”

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxx

I’m thinking of writing him back, although he did not put a return address on his letter. . . hmmmmm.
Oh well dr. Mark, this will sound callous to such an upstanding and moral citizen, but I don’t care a rat’s behind about your personal life – I DO care about the lives of people you may be harming with your vast medical background and ability to practice across multiple specialties that normally take years of formal training and licensure by reputable boards, but you can practice without censure because you’re an acupuncturist. I’m still waiting for the Division of Medical Quality Assurance to get back to me on their findings. If Florida allows this kind broad scope of ‘medical’ practice without proper licensure I would warn everyone in that State to do a through investigation of their own health care providers. Oh, and I have no “hate” inside, just a healthy dose of fear and skepticism. . . as I said before, I’m not attacking anyone. . . an individual with proper licensure practicing within the guidelines of their specialty has nothing to fear; individuals check on real doctor’s and lawyers credentials all the time, but how many of those doctors and lawyers send off letters to the one inquiring spewing personal info, photos and the claim that someone is trying ’to ruin his life?’
Wow! Isn't that curious ... he didn't sign it Dr. Mark Brinson? And why is he responding to a professional inquiry in such a personal way? Weird, IMO. It just sounds whiny and unprofessional to me. Also feels like a guilt trip.
I don't think it's right that they gave him your information. I'd contact them and let them know you received that letter.
