Hers's what I find so remarkable....those poor folks over at the Kimpire actually believe that Heidi was thin when the website first started. This is so far from the truth! Those of us with a ring side seat to the Kimmer-Kajun exchanges know she did not post a new picture because she was 300lbs way back then.. It is frustrating to read the threads coming from over there...i can't help but feel sorry for those people.

Nuffin....I haven't had time to change after the Deposition and the Morning Show Day yesterday.
I had gotten all purdy for the big celebration and then never got the chance to change when I found out Kimmer was back at Kimkins.......I just fluffed my feathers a little....

You know..SL is chunky cuz she ate too much and the drugs might be an excuse or a reality why she couldn't lose. I believe she is still on those drugs. With her buggy eyes and her round face, she looks like a Cushing syndrome person, methinks, too..

I never had anyone confirm when I asked the question yesterday here on the board. I posted what was posted on a blog and asked is this true or not??? The blog is one that is a spoof on ducky, so I was not sure how to take it, but I guess it was all done in fun as a joke.

Cinnamon is a powerful herb that Warms the body internally. This can be a good thing or bad depending on your personal constitution.

While anything that warms "speeds" _meta_bolism and digestion (specifically cinnamon) it can also raise BP etc in higher doses with a certain constitution.

Now, I am not saying that you cannot add it to food....just not supplementation.....

For those of you that have a tendency to low bp, and are always cold...load up.

I will start another thread for the diabetic but following a low carb diet and eating often are a great start.

The TV show was biased and we were not told ahead of much. In fact we were coached to the opposite even though we knew better. In hair and makeup a lady next to me was having hers done as well. She was telling the girls there (who may I boldly say are rail thinner than ANY of us) how to control weight and to eat a small handful of nuts when hungry AND she enouraged LEAN protein, So I say out loud, "This is how I eat too", and the lady gets all snippy and says 'No, we don't starve ourselves". If I had doubts about the show I no longer did past that. However, I went because I know with 110% that your diets DO work, Kimmer. I represent not myself, Kimmer but an entire website of proof. I have 2 lbs to lose and COULD starve it off but that's not how we do things here. Kimmer, you have my support and I am thrilled you don't have to do this alone. And...you do have a little plan that works like nothing I have ever seen!

Tomorrow I will dispute the old, outdated Doctor the show used. He was a sad example by not understanding what 'ketosis" really is. And the entire LC community, against us or not clearly know how outdated this Doctor is. He would never be MY Doctor--no way! But just my opinion.

Dr. Atkins had an explaination of ketosis and how it can be defined as an opposite meaning because of the word being close to another condition which IS bad. More tomorrow. Got to get the book and quote. Ketosis is NOT dangerous according to Atkins. And not according to many modern Doctors.

One last thing for tonight is that a comment by Christan was made that people are hospitalized every day from doing Kimkins. I shake my head over that and will BOLDLY say we have yet to see ONE such case.

Christan and Deni look great. But I know they were there to represent a cause. Perhaps the cause is to close Kimiins but I am not sure. But neither seemed fond of positive change to the site. Still, I found Christan to be a warm and caring person and I did hug her after the show and wish her well. And I mean no harm nor do I have anything bad to say about either. Both have had a few small attacks on my character or worse, but I forgive them just as I hope the forgive me for the wrong they THINK I have done. There are always two sides. I stand firm just as they do.

So Christan, this is for you: I will do my best to respect your opinion and to do as you asked me to. I will do my best to listen to what you have stated and make improvements. I do hear you. I WAS shocked when I read both you and Deni's posts about your calories, ect. You made mistakes and you admit them. Kimmer has too. Please give us a chance to learn and grow in a postive manner rather than hold a grudge. You have to know this diet does work and has been modified to be better. And we will continue to do so. Best wishes to you. And...I must say you and Deni both are HOT! Peace?

I was reading post after post yesterday and last night. It is no different than it was back in 06-07 except the home page looks different. There is no smiley that can even capture what I am feeling. Guess it's the same as con men being released from prison, going back to their old way of life again...until they are caught again..Gee I hope she is made to pay at some point or she will be doing this the rest of her life

The way I understood her comment was that she put on weight initially due to steroids. She didn't say if she's still taking them. I remember her being pretty forthright about her medical history in her postings at kk. I think you could find out if you search through her journal.

Yep..that is what con people do. She has been doing this all her life and it's worked for her. There will always be people who will follow these crazy people

Don't kid yourself ..... I'm sure the plaintiff's attorney loves the fact that she is back at work. Just let her carry on in her usual way - false sense of security. In the end it works in our favor if you get what I mean.

I remember reading that she blamed gaining her weight (initially) on steroids, and she either stated, or I assumed, that she meant prednisone. I think this was on a thread where she posted some progress pictures, which were mostly head shots. She was happy that her face looked thinner. This was before she was an admin on the site. Honestly, at the time, she seemed like a sweet, naive person. Who can ever telll, right?

Anyway, I have a friend who did chemo for Hodgkins Disease when we were in High School, and I remember that she had a lot of side effects from it, including osteonecrosis (dead bone, basically, in her knees mostly) and puffiness and weight gain. That's why I remember reading Singinglasses early posts - because it made me think of this girl whom I haven't seen in so long. It's not proof, but I hope it helps to answer your question "anectdotally"

I hope she is aware of this disease because it can do severe HPA-axis suppression that can last for years after stopping the medication. She should really question her physician about long term steroid use. In some diseases it is a necessary evil but there are many cases where there are other options than steroids or at least a decreased use of them.
