I thought it was "the more you have to lose the more you will lose (and faster)". Kimmer could have lost that 23#s in a couple of weeks being over 300#s but I don't think her body would have reduced that much even if the weight did.

Thank you for discussing this. Earlier today I noted in a link someone did that the case might end due to lack of funds. I want to offer to help pay for airline flights, etc if this will help. I did not join KK but I did listen to Heidi about exercise, the results.....I am going to need to have a complete PS lift. I want to see justice, please make known your needs.

I think I understood you correctly here Missi. You were referring to this pic?!?!?
Stargazey did the lining and smooshing down from what I recalled.
I think that is why Kimmer posted the profile post and decided to "shave" instead of "smoosh".
Here is the post-

I took the "real" Kimmer after picture and put it beside the blue dress before picture. Then I lined up the left eyes, the left elbows and the left finger tips. To do that, I had to squash the "real" Kimmer after picture by a considerable amount. And voila! Kimmer now looks much closer to the 294 pounds she reported when she posted the "real" after picture.

Lying with pictures? Kimmer is still doing it!

How very kind of you. I am not clear on where the help is needed or if it is more the need of plaintiffs to keep it filed as a class action law suit. Why don't you send Jeanessa an email. You can find it located on the blog linked in my siggy.
She has been getting a lot of emails so she may take a little bit of time to reply.

Maybe I wasn't being clear in my post. ITA - the PI video pics look much heavier than the picture she posted on her website and from what she said she lost 23#.

This first one may have already been posted here. If so, sorry! I can't believe it's still up after a few days.

Did Kimmer take away Tippy's Ban Button?

Re:Mike and Juliet TV Show Days ago
I agree, this whole diet, for those of us who were on after June or in June, were told to do 500 calories, laxatives, no fiber etc. I know it may work in the short term, but I guarantee, anyone who takes this diet to a dietician will see it is NOT healthy, and yes, being fat is not either, but you might as well be doing the same thing but cutting out entire food groups and starving yourself thin, you don't need Kimkins for that, there are plenty of FREE websites that show you how to starve. It's the long term and health aspect that will keep you going. If anyone is interested in a refund, it is on the home page listed as Kimkins Controversy, but you would have had to join before Nov.2007 and it ends this week, oh and also had a receipt of your purchase, which I had. Good-luck to everyone trying to lose weight, but lets be realistic, this is not the healthy way to do it, just the quick unhealthy fix, that will backfire in the long run, just look at Kimmer...aka. Heidi Diaz

And this is one of the responses.
Interestingly, this poster is a newbie (3 posts) with the name of KaynKay. Hmmmm

Re:Mike and Juliet TV Show Hours, Minutes ago
I originally saw this diet in a WW magazine my mom brought when visiting from Canada. Regardless of the actual weight-loss posted on the cover, I liked the premise...low fat Atkins. I've done Atkins a number of times, and had success, but it can be slower and the high-sodium gets to me after awhile. I also had good success for a few months with Michael Thurmond's program...but with no salt, no sugar, no fat...it takes a special mentality and focus which I haven't found since. There was also a great deal of work and cooking involved and it just wasn't 'convenient' enough long-term. The results were pretty quick though, (40lbs in 12 weeks with an hour walk 5x/wk), but in the end...I regained it all over two years, and haven't been able to 'stick to it' long enough to get going again.

Then I do the 'see-saw'. The cycle of failure that starts the regain. The "all or nothing", "I've-blown-the-diet-so-I-might-as-well-empty-the-fridge-and-hit-my-'favorites'-before-I-RESTART-ON- MONDAY"...gag.

So...here I am. I have 40-50lbs to lose. I know that faster is better for me. Then I came to the KIMKINS site and balked the $60...and while debating it...ran across some of the anti-Kimkins sites...leading to the clips from the show in question on YouTube.

I've thought and thought about this though...and here are my conclusions. It's my body. There's NO WAY that what I am eating NOW is healthy. I have not seen anywhere that states you should eat less than 800 calories or use laxatives. (In fact, many other diet programs encourage the use of the same supplements to support digestion and elimination when changing your intake, ie/phsyllium hulls). For the most part, Ketosis has long been touted as 'dangerous'...and many of us who believed in and tried Atkins, have already overcome that concern.

Can some portion control and calorie reduction benefit me? You bet! Furthermore, when you drastically reduce your dependency on processed foods filled with sugar, salt and chemicals, you get many of the symptoms listed in the 'ketosis' list.

I haven't tried Kimkins yet, but I joined, and I'm ready to start. I am 35 years old, I have four children (the youngest are 4-3-2!) and I am ready for some 'fast' results to springboard me back into a healthier weight. To maintain I will return to the Dr. Oz and Roizen's program, "YOU: On a diet", which I LOVE...but it's very slow losing. I want to smack this weight off, and get my life back!!

As for Heidi / Kimmer...

HOW MANY OF US HERE HAVE NEVER, EVER, EVER REGAINED LOST WEIGHT...PLUS A FEW ADDITIONAL POUNDS???? C'mon. Let's not be the first to cast stones. I for one, have spent much more than $60 before on various plans...Weight watchers, Thurmond, Gym memberships that get used for 3-4 weeks, Trimspa, Hoodia...blah blah blah.

What it really comes down to lowering calories, eating the RIGHT calories, and taking a good supplement. Am I going to eat Kimkins for two years?? NO! I will be able to add grains and dairy and fruits and complex carbs back in again...within a relatively short period of time...but my body needs a wake-up call...a jolt off the sugar/carb/sodium bandwagon, and a chance to burn some cleaner fuel again.

I'm willing to try Kimkins...even after the 'big debates'...and I agree with the poster who said that the gal on the show sure didn't look like she's suffered very much! She looked pretty darn great to me!!

It's our responsibility to take our health into consideration, and to keep our physicians aware of what we are doing. If you have concerns, that's where I'd start. Work the program for a few weeks, note the results / symptoms, and take the list of what you're eating to your doctor.

I am a very healthy overweight individual, blessed not to have any medical issues, I have excellent cholesterol, blood pressure, etc. so I feel I can 'challenge' my body a bit by taking out carbs without dire consequences. I KNOW I can live without the sugar!! As for fruit? Love it. I'll add it back into my life...in a few months. In the meantime...let's go!

K.

I think that 23 lb. is something we feel in our clothes, but there is NO WAY that losing 23 lb. would change someone's appearance that way. Not buying it in any way.

Ummmmm, this person sounds like a sock puppet. However, I do want to comment that the issue with regards to Heidi's weight is that it was fradulent for her to set up a website claiming to have lost anywhere from 198 to 200 pounds [depending on which account you were reading] and she also claimed to have kept it off for 5 years. It's one thing for someone here to lie about their weight or to not own up when they gain back some weight. It's quite another when you tout yourself as a weight loss authority, fradulently pass off pictures of other people to make people believe that is how you look, and SELL a product [a website membership] based on success that you haven't had. Some people just don't get what fraud is all about. Add to all this the fact that "lifetime" memberships have been taken away from people just because they had the nerve to question the stories Heidi has dished out, or to disagree with her advice, or [gasp!] to speak out against her on other websites like this one. The first amendment means nothing to Heidi. She is the queen. I hope she ends up dirt poor, living in section 8 at the California Institute for Women for a while. Fraud is illegal, and I hope to God Attorney General Jerry Brown prosecutes her for it.

K.
The problem is the KK diet has not been proven to be beneficial long term..We know people lose weight, we know people have developed health problems, but we don't know people will be able to keep the weight off...their response, I'll just go back to kk/ke ti relose...isn't that akin to yoyo dieting, each time makes it harder to lose weight and stresses the body more. As of yet, the health problems people are suffering, we don't know if they are going to be able to reverse these. This woman has young children who need her, what if she gets dizzy spells or faints from while driving because her body isn't getting enough nutrition. Scary and sad!
