Looks like one of those dollar braclets sold to promote the cause-of-the-day. Lance Armstrong started that whole thing. Hey, maybe Kimmer is selling those things to raise money for her defense, or to have funds for all those refunds she's giving out ... The Free Kimmer Fund ...

I am absolutely disgusted. This is still on the Thinking about kimkins page:
"I'm hypothyroid. Will Kimkins work for me? You bet! Kimmer created the diet and is severly hypothyroid. In fact, she says if she stops taking her thyroid medication, her TSH level shoots to 128! She lost 198 lbs in 11 months." Worst run business of the year. It takes all of 5 minutes to get in there and fix the other crap. There has been more than enough time to get that crap in order. No, that's not misleading whatsoever....... ![]() |

"Q: Did you lose 198 pounds in 11 months?
A: No. But I did lose 100 pounds in 6 months. However, since Kimkins appeared on the Woman's World cover, I've been glued to my computer. I'm no different than any of you and I'm well familiar with stress eating or grabbing what's handy instead of what's Kimkins friendly. So, she gained 100 lbs in 4 months. Hmmmm.
If she was so busy typing, there must have been an intravenous hook up to her arm. There is no way, unless, she has learned to type with one hand and feed herself simultaneously with the other. Maybe she was just spooning butter into her mouth. It must have been like Thanksgiving every day. |

[quote=HoneyBee2;9506795][b]I want to share with y'all some posts from another board where this was discussed. A member had expressed that Kimmer's lack of control over her eating gave power to her rage against the eating of others.
Quote: Well, I'm a licensed psychologist and I'd say your assessment is spot-on. Other than that, I think that she's also very lonely and probably not very well liked, the internet gave her community and power. Queen like status came upon her which fed her narcissism. In her head, she probably did see herself or see "kimmer" as a separate entity than Heidi Diaz. Kimmer was thin and beautiful and had done her Kimkins diet and Heidi was the dumpy next door neighbor who envied kimmer and wanted to be part of it by "owning the company." She probably has some kind of dissociative personality disorder (previously known as multiple personality disorder) and can't quite distinguish between her various realities because of her lies and pathologies. It's pretty sad. I'm happy that people found her out so quickly. It's not unusual that people with intense psychosis wind up being elevated to cult status. Their psychosis, so out of touch with reality allows them to believe everything that they say. Self-assuredness and self-confidence is sexy. People cling to it, people want it. (think tt) Another question and the psychologist's post: Quote: Is narcissism made, or is it something that can be acquired? So, a person has low self esteem, and wants more than anything to be one of the 'cool kids' to the point where they are predicated on a big lie. At what point does a person go from wanting the attention to demanding it? Or, is narcissism something people just have? Sorry if that's a weird question. I've seen some pretty huge egos in the dieting world and have been wondering about whether there is some level of megalomania or narcissism involved. ----------------------------------- No, it's not a weird question, below narcissism is deep wounding, trauma, insecurity, so the grandiosity is a defense, a coping mechanism to deal with the deep pain of really feeling like nothing. There's only theories as to why personality disorders develop, they're not organic (as schizophrenia or another psychosis), mostly though, a lot of personality disorders mimic (or vice versa) deep trauma. My post and question: Quote: Kimmer, as you know, is back at kimkins now and posting about her "current weight loss" journey. In her posts now she is no longer the guru and the one doling out advice. In fact it is the complete opposite. She will say, "I need you other members to share with me how you were successful", when discussing losing weight with her newly diagnosed diabetes. She is really "dumbing it down" it seems in her posts. Her status as being the one to go to for help and knowledge, one would think will diminish if this continues. Her need for status, attention and importance will soon fade at this rate. I really can't imagine Kimmer in a place of weakness, because it seems to make her very defensive and she abhors being looked at as the one without the power. This may go back to you saying that some sort of trauma triggers this narcissist type behavior, because to not be self-important drags up those memories of the trauma and worthlessness?!?!? So my question is this; with Heidi taking on a totally different persona, will she be able to sustain it? Knowing what you know about the persona of Kimmer, can people like Heidi totally drop one persona for another. Like changing outfits or will they always have that favorite "pair of pants" that they can't part with and kimmer will have to come out in other ways? (ie. other screen names or converting back to her old ways after some time elapses) Have you ever seen someone like Kimmer and are these type people normally highly intelligent? The reply from the pyschologist: Quote: My sense is that . . It's not super different from where she was before (oh my poor foster children, the haters trying to shut me down because they're jealous...) When she feels backed into a corner, she rolls over and plays sick, "care for me, care for me, I'm weak, I need your help..." I think that her persona has not changed greatly but her stance has victimizer to victim. She probably has a history of horrible abuse. Psychopathology and intelligence are not mutually exclusive, nor are they symbiotic. I think that it becomes more apparent in very intelligent people because that's when it becomes dangerous. Very interesting insight I thought...and scary as well. HoneyBee Kimmer is a Big-Boned, Diabolical, Quasi-Diabetic, Lint Licking, Lying, Liar that Lies. QUOTE] HoneyBee, Thanks, I had not seen this at any site, anywhere in my cyber-travels, so would have missed this had you not posted. This is the most astute analysis that I have seen to date. Which modern-day Freud is willing to take her on as a Case Study??!! cheers, Wendy |

"If you're still on the fence about whether lower calories means ruined metabolism, keep in mind that gastric bypass patients are intended to eat around 500 calories a day after surgery. It's the entire purpose of the surgery. Those that follow the 500 calorie instructions lose extremely fast. Those who can't commit and pick easily digestible high calorie foods like mashed potatoes, candy, soda, chips, alcohol and ice cream don't lose or may even gain.
Naturally I'd suggest the Kimkins Diet for anyone who's serious about losing weight. But the Kimkins program is strict, it's not for sissies. It's for people who want to lose now and fast" Yeah, sissies. Get your refund you sissies. And get out. So strict, that there are no calorie restrictions...... |

Thanks Christin, I thought maybe it was a Kimkins band. Yeah, "shy" people need to go around wearing a Kimkins band so people will stop them and ask them what it means and she can drum up more business. Wonder how she finds the time to advertise with it when she spends 24 hours a day on her computer! Wonder if she has Brandon wearing one too. lol
ETA: I think we all should get a bracelet that say 'KIMKINS SURVIVORS" and wear it all around. |
