I will eat my old sneakers if she EVER ate like this. What does she know of guilt?

Did I read this right, she says she "used to" drink 7 drinks a day with 4oz of rum in each....28 oz of rum?? How could she function, let alone parent??? She used to chastize us if we didnt measure every handful of lettuce, makes me wonder if she ever measured the rum.
Kimmer 5-13-06 LCF Were you sleepy after the rum & diet coke. You probably know that if someone hasn't been drinking for a period of time, the effects of alcohol are sudden. Cheryl, the following is about me, not you: For example when I was drinking ... oh, how much was it? Six or seven 22 oz glasses of Captain Morgan & Cherry Pepsi each day (4 oz rum in each) it didn't even effect me. I was sipping all day long. Then, when I started my weight loss phase for the last time, I stopped drinking ... talk about hard! Anywho, point being that I did have a small glass of wine on two different occasions. Both times I felt it within 10 minutes. Me? Who could out drink most everyone I knew? Feeling different from a couple ounces of wine? Impossible. In doing reading I read an analogy that people who drink often (I don't think my father ever stopped, had beer or vodka next to his bed at night) their brains adapt to accommodate the poison. Literally, the brain comes used to being bathed in alcohol. Once that process stops, the brain retrains. Oh, Cheryl, we were talking about you, LOL! Sorry, reminescing! Are you taking vitamins? Do you think it was the heaviness of the Ruby Tuesday lunch? Did you see the other thread about LC meals may not be healthy? Ruby is used an example of being significantly over on carbs & calories.

Dr Mark comments on TTs VLCs:
Very low calorie diets 31 Minutes ago Good info. I have read of stories about this from texts over 2400 years old. Especially where holy men or monks learn, over time, to live on little more than sunlight, air, and a bit of water and rice. There is a current documentary about the "science of Star Wars -the force"....yes, I am getting a little geeky here..... In part of this program they show the lives of shao lin monks in the mountains of china. They look very young, very very healthy, and calm. They exercise everyday, perform amazing feats of strength and power and eat very little. They attribute this to breathing, clear minds and meditating. They are not small in statue either. Many of them look as though they bodybuild. The show is worth watching just for the two finger handstand that one of the monks performs. There was also a study done about 5 years ago that checks the overall health of average americans over "bums" in europe. The street people that were generally very thin and ate only what they could scrounge or beg for, were in much better overall health. One more story to note. In the early 1900's a proponent of fasting wanted to quiet all disbelievers once and for all. He decided to walk from NYC to Chicago without food, only water!. He had a team of doctors and others following him to make sure his health was good and he did not cheat. He made it 31 days before having to stop. He still felt great, and energetic, averaging 20 miles a day, but as he began to enter the mountains the fat pad that makes up the heal had become so thin he was risking stress fractures. There were no "Air Max's" back then, only leather soled shoes. The doctors noted that other than that, he was in perfect health. Much of what we experience when food is with held or certain things are restricted is our body system changing. Detoxification, digestion resting, your body _meta_bolizing fat for energy, these all "feel" different. Much is also in the mind and what we expect that we need as well. Good "food" for thought huh? Dr. Mark

Interesting....BBB post:
BBB REVIEWS/ MY RESPONSE TO THE NEGATIVITY 3 Hours, 41 Minutes ago Here is my review to the BBB Are you kidding me? First, I am a member of the Kimkins online community and it has been a wonderful experience. I have more than 30 years of dieting experience, so I feel more than qualified. If you are interested here is my resume: 1) Weight Watchers....more times than I can count 2) System 7......twice 3) Diet Workshop.....more than 5 times 4) Weigh Down workshop....once 5) LAPBAND....once 6) Do it yourself'ers.....more than a dozen. 7) Hospital _base_d Liquid Diet....twice Kimkins works for me. I have never felt bad. I see the doctor once every two months(and he approves wholeheartedly). I no longer take Diabetes medicine, cholesterol medicine, or high blood pressure medicine. I feel great. I am not losing my hair. This is the one for me that is working. For those of you crying about your $60, have you never lost money to any other diet product. Apparently, you just gained weight and this is the first diet you tried. Let me tell you that diets are not one size fits all. From someone who had a lifetime of spending money on this diet or that diet, this piece of fitness equiptment or that piece of fitness equiptment, I have been told things that didn't actually pan out as the truth for me. I spent $17,000 on a LAPBAND (no insurance and still paying for it) that I only got to keep for 6 months. Guess what, it worked for others, but not for me. I never once blamed the manufacturer, the doctor, the inventor, etc. IT DIDN'T WORK, I'M OVER IT. --By the way, I'm just a working stiff and $17,000 is a lot of money to me. I just took the high road and chose not to berate anyone on BBB, so that I could ruin it for others. I still think the LAPBAND is a great tool for the obese to get a handle on their weight issues. I wish I had someone who would listen to me cry over my $17,000. Yes, I thought I could lose weight with SLIMFAST, even with more than 25g of sugar a can. Yes, I though I could lose weight with WeightWatchers, just make sure to count the points in those Ho Ho's. Thank goodness you only lost $60, anymore and you would have lost your mind. As for Kimmers, Heidi, or whoever you are. Thank you. If the success stories weren't true, you aren't the first to have done it. Ever looked at the TrimSpa commercials. Do you think those models haven't been "worked on". Ever looked at before and after photos. Think they haven't been worked on. I am very happy with this diet. I will work it as long as it works for me. If it ever stops working or if I feel bad, my doctor doesn't like something, etc. then I will be a responsible adult and move on. For the record, I have never been told to use laxatives or keep my calories at a very low level. For those of you who lost $60, sorry! I hope it isn't keeping food off your table or heat out of your home, but for goodness sakes, GET OVER IT. For the record further, I agree with a previous review, the verbage in the negative posts is very similar and it seems to be the same person posting over and over again. Someone has way to much time on their hands. Maybe they should get a job to earn $60 or exercise to help with their weight issues. Finally, I am a PAYING member of Kimkins. I am not an employee or affiliate. Just an average Joe trying to lose weight. Bolding mine....thought that was interesting. |

For many of us (I am one of them), the utter depravation on the Kimkins plan sets off binging. On Atkins, I was never bored with my food choices and lost 103 pounds in a year. I resorted to Kimkins when, due to life circumstances and my own bad choices, I gained some of it back. That was my downfall. Had I just stayed the course and gotten back on Atkins strictly as I did for the year I was losing, I would not have had the binging episodes. Thanks Kimmer!

Did you see this?
Not sure if this has been posted yet..but from Kimkins Dangers..
"Fitness Guru Gone! After wondering why Fitness Guru hadn't been posting after his last comment that no diet should ever go lower than 1200 calories, which is completely NOT Kimkins... we did a bit of research with some help. We finally received an email from Nick Clark, aka Fitness Guru stating that he is no longer associated with Kimkins.com. The email did not contain any information about why or if he has been banned. Now to convince "Dr." Mark to take a leaf from Fitness Guru's book." |
