Thank you, Locarb4me. I expected it was an alter ego to make it seem she had hired someone to do businessy stuff. Danielle I knew about.

I hope the law and the IRS and the collectors and the former KK members in the CAL get her but good. Hope all she has left to her name is a pair of stretch pants, a flowery top, and her cheapest wig.

Cheryl, I'm sorry your hubby has the AAA. I was hoping it was the hernia or something else totally benign. I hope God heals him so the next test shows NADA, ZIP, and he never needs surgery. Hugs.

I find it a blessing that he knows about it because so many people aren't even aware they have one and die needlessly. I guess they don't contemplate surgery until it reaches 5.5cm or larger.

Thank you all for your PM's and prayers. He's very optimistic.

Cheryl I hope all turns out well with your husband's condition. It does read like they will keep an eye on things as a watch and wait issue. Wishing you both the best.

Your body will get used to it fast so do a three day on two day off schedule.

BUT REMEMBER AND EVERYONE HAS TOLD YOU THIS, THE SIDE EFFECTS CAN BE SERIOUS.
Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable
Is this guy serious???

I wanted to point out that it was NOT Dr. Mark who was quoted, because I went to view the post it was a member named Mikey.
Just FYI from what I was able to note on the poster from Kimkins:

1) They had been a very active poster from the time they joined in 6-13-07 then last posts 7-24-07-Nothing about leaving but nonetheless not on the boards until.......
2) Appeared back on the boards 10-01...taking a break?? This was the first post upon the member's return-

Most of my answers will be, if you are a man don't go below 800 cals if you are a woman don't go below 600. Take in a bit more fat if you START SEEING PROBLEMS before trashing the program Take the SUPPS that are recommended.
Set a goal weight of three to four pounds when you reach it have a meal of 500 cals over that to keep the body confused. The cells are smart but not that damn smart. The weight loss gurus make millions telling you that you will go into starvation mode if you drop a single cal below what they tell you. That's bullshit.
Throw the damn scale away and use the mirror, your clothes, and a tape measure as your weight loss bible. By the way I weighed at the doctors office the other day and their scale was off. I reset it for them but the nurse told me, " We drag that thing all over the office everyday so it's not our fault" . I started to go into a dialogue about what if it meant the difference between life and death but I was late for my testosterone shot. God I love those shots

3) Also noted that the member had their screen named changed upon their "Return". Original the member's name was Arkangel.....now they are Mikey

Does anyone know the member known as Arkangel?

At the doctor's office. I would guess, if in fact he wasn't joking, that he has a medical issue that requires testosterone shots? Or, sometimes testosterone is given to transgender patients. I dunno...

Most physicians now prefer testosterone topical gels or the patches for the delivery system of the testosterone.
The name change after the absence seemed to be very familiar. Deja vu, right Cheryl? {ixtapacheryl--------> bobbi2lose (I think it was)}

Probably the same way the recently deceased Dr. Jon (Stewart Fason) got his - he inherited his medical advice column from the real Dr. Jon when the former died. Although he had considerable time and money invested in things scientific and medical, SF never went to medical school.

there is even a lower ranking--Optrician....which has no doctorate at all
Good explanation. Lots of people are legally allowed to call themselves doctors. Doctors of Optometry are like Doctors of Chiropractic - not doctors in the sense of someone who has graduated from a bona fide medical school.

I am diabetic and see an opthalmologist, a medical school graduate. I would no more go to an optometrist with my condition than I would go to a chiropractor if I had chest pains.

Thanks SMP and others for the comments. However I am still not finding a reason for Dr. Mark to be called "Dr."

My concern or question was how does someone with a Master degree legally be called "Dr."not how the title "Dr." can be used by those who don't have a Medical degree, because that is understood and acceptable.

The Dr. Stewart Fason although, not a medical doctor, he did have a doctorate in the field of law or a LL.D, so in his case technically he could use the title Dr., based on his doctorate degree in law.
I know that being called "doctor" can be deceptive even in cases where the person does have a doctorate and has earned the title. For example: "Dr. Laura" the radio show host, she has a Ph.D. which is in physiology and not psychology. This has been considered deceptive by her critics, because of her advice being based around psychological issues and that is not her "doctorate" degree of study.
But Dr. Mark has a "Masters" degree if I am reading his posts and website information correctly not a doctorate degree...in any field. It is my understanding that the title Doctor "Dr." is reserved for those who have a doctorate in their field...not a BS or a Masters in that study. Dr. Mark states his education came from Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This institution was accredited in 11/1999 for a "Master of Chinese Medicine" program and then subsequently lost their accreditation.

I may not have been clear in my previous question, but by him having a masters degree didn't seem to justify the title "Dr.Mark". I realize that Ph.D's, Pharm.D's etc....are not medical doctors, but of course can use the title doctor and rightfully so, because they have the advanced degree or Doctorate degree in their field.
How does this apply to Dr. Mark or does it, when his degree is a Masters not a doctorate? That was what I was attempting to question.
Does that make sense or do others feel that the he can use the title Doctor and if so on what basis?

I think it goes with his claiming more than is actually true - see "primary care physician" on his web site.

It makes sense to me, that's why he's always "Dr." (always in quotation marks) when I refer to him.

Thanks for pointing out the accreditation for only a "master of oriental medicine." I had thought they were accredited for "doctor of oriental medicine," which while sounding more impressive, still only qualifies its holder to be a garden variety "acupuncturist".

Testosterone shots? I wouldn't mind an injection...

Do you gals want to hear something that's as ridiculous as Hidey suing for defamation of character? This is a quote from a story I saw tonight on Yahoo!

Quote:
Lynne Spears is planning to write a book about raising her family in the glare of the media spotlight. The memoir could be a gossip lover's delight, providing maternal insight into the life of her daughter Britney, who has gone from child star to tabloid train wreck.

OMG! That's as crazy as a 300+lbs. woman selling a diet plan and faking success stories. Hey if Tippy-kins gets out of this mess, maybe she could get a job as Lynne Spears' gohost riter and prueff-reeder.
