Hi Ladies. I haven't posted in a few weeks, but from what I remember, Heidi had a degree in business or marketing. I believe she had another student loan for a larger amount of money that was written off, but the Teri (I think that's it) people don't write off loans. On one of the forums to do with getting debt writtten off Heidi said that she couldn't understand why Teri was going after her when the other student loan was written off for disability.

Thanks for the explanation. I was going to respond likewise earlier but got sidetracked.

I have a real problem referring to an acupuncturist as "doctor." Not that I don't think there may some merit to acupuncture (I dunno, never tried it), but no amount of Eastern voodoo knowledge is going to get me to call anyone "doctor." Sorry, that's JMHO.

Take a tab of pseudophed, 2 aspirin, and a caffeine tab, wait for it to kick in then do cardio like a mad dog.
Your body will get used to it fast so do a three day on two day off schedule.

BUT REMEMBER AND EVERYONE HAS TOLD YOU THIS, THE SIDE EFFECTS CAN BE SERIOUS.
Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable
Is this guy serious???

TY! I took my avitor pic today since I was already done up to have my drivers license renewed (tomorrow is my b-day). I wish I could use that one on my DL instead of the awful one that's on it now. Why can't the DMV ever take any good shots?

Apparently.

He's recommending what's called an "ECA Stack" substituting pseudoephedrine for ephedrine. From what I'm reading, the pseudoephedrine doesn't work the same as the ephedrine. It's basically a stimulant "diet pill" in its intended form.

ECA Stack

ETA: The more I think about this, the madder I get!

Aww, TY!

My big plans are to allow my DH to grill me a nice, big, juicy steak (which I'm going to go select at the grocery momentarily) and spend the rest of the evening with my family. I may make a LC cheesecake as well...which I have often anyway, but I absolutely love it! Nothing real big for the day, I guess, just special to me.

I once took pseudoephedrine when I had a sinus infection . After twenty four hours of taking the recommended dose my pulse was up to 120. I felt as if I'd had 300 espressos. It's quite a common ingredient in over the counter cold remedies, too . I'd be climbing the walls if I followed that advice .

Who was recommending it?

Lest We Forget, a few lovely tidbits from the Kimpound:

Quote:
Becoming afraid of food. 3 Days, 7 Hours ago
Hey all...

Just wanted to see if anyone else out there is experiencing a fear of food. I'm getting closer to goal and have been very strict with myself thus far. My weightloss is of course slowing down and that is okay when I think rationally about it. But I have to be honest everytime I have a week of only a 1 lb. loss (a couple of times even less.) I try to cut something else out the next week, and of course once you cut it out you're afraid to add it back in.
I have a host of issues that rationally would cause me to add a few items back into my diet but I'm having a hard time convincing myself it's okay to do it. Issue's like dizzyness, fatique, being cold all the time and the worst is the inability to go to the bathroom. I'm happy if I go more than once a week! (Plus I think I'm a little paranoid, I feel like everyone is waiting for me to mess up and gain back the weight) Occassionally when I add a small lettuce salad to my dinner and my husbands teases me about cheating, I know he is joking but it still ticks me off....
And the closer I get to maintanence the more worried I get....

Anyway thanks for listening.... Think I just need to say it out loud
and this:

How do I get paid to get people to join? 3 Days, 6 Hours ago
I read in another thread that you can get paid to have people join and I have several people interested in joining. What information do I give them and where do I find it?? Thanks in advance!
Note: because Tippy is promoting the Affiliates program many new people are going to get sucked into Kimkins. Great news, huh? (not)

Help...Hair is falling out in clumps! 3 Days, 1 Hour ago
OK...Im trying not to freak out but its hard. I have been on Kimkins since June and all was well until about a month ago. My hair started coming out in the shower...small amounts at first. Then in more significant amounts.....would be all entangled in my fingers, etc. Now, I have had two I episodes where I have ran my fingers through my hair and a clump has fallen to the floor. I have been taking a hair and nail vitamin from the health food store for about three weeks now. Any idea what is happening to me???

Re:Help...Hair is falling out in clumps! 1 Day, 2 Hours ago
Doctor Update.....I saw the internist and a dermatologist. They both know me and were suprised to see how much thinning has occured in such a short period of time. Both feel it is Telogen Effluvium or how they explain it...hair shedding out of its normal cycle. They both told me it usually occurs 3 months after a trama of sorts to the body. Trama examples were child birth, operation, dramatic weight loss, etc. It usually fixes itself with six months. Honestly, if it continues that long, I will be in big trouble. I had bloodwork done just to rule out a medical condition with my thyroid or anemia. I wont know those results for a day or two more.
Time wise, it falls right into place with the diet. So, Im guessing I lost too much weight too quickly for my body. My internist wants me to eat more balanced adding more grains and veggies. The dermatologist thinks it more about body adjusting to the weight loss than it is me being under nourished because I was taking vitamins... Im not sure what I believe. Because Im so upset, Im not even hungry but, of course, Im eating and taking vitamins.

Dr. Mark, thanks for responding too. To answer your questions...I am not on any medications. I have always been healthy....just had gotten alittle chubby Stress wise...not more than usual. No major crisis going on....except my hair Can you recommend any foods that might help or any I should avoid??? I have added biotin and fish oil to my multivitamin but not sure if there are certain foods that I should be incorporating.

I've been staying with this but did add a few more carbs for awhile as my blood pressure went way too low 87/39 and I was so dizzy I could hardly get around. I've been on two blood pressure meds a day and since I lost 35 lbs. it was too much medicine, the doctor has taken me off three meds plus 1 blood pressure and cutting in half the other blood pressure med. soon I will be able to get off that one, all because of this WOE and getting weight off. I'm so happy. I'm also diabetic and my numbers are staying aroung normal now and it is the first time in the last two years. I'm in my 60's so not losing as fast as some but I'm pleased with how things are going.

Lets keep in touch since not many are with us right now.
Quote:
You guys are the only reason why i keep coming back here. I look for support from all of you guys and need it. I have experienced some of the weird side effects some have talked about. But I have also changed things because of them. I did have a lot of dizzy spells, I have changed my carbs from 20 total to 20 without the fiber counting. This has lessen the dizzy spells. I have also added in more cheese and a calcium pill. I have also started to eat the atkins morning bar. TOM is here and I am holding at 204. So 10 pounds up from Sunday. I am still exercising for an hour everyday....

I know there is a lot of negative comments out there about this diet. I feel that I have made the changes in this WOE to help me out. Now that most of the bad side effects have gone away I feel that I have added in enough food to continue.

Nursing a 5 week old...Is it okay to start this? 1 Week, 5 Days ago
Hi I am so siked about starting this, but I don't know if it is safe! Does anyone know if I can start one while I am nursing? I have 100 lbs to lose and I want it gone yesterday. I have been reading all the posts and am so ready to get started. I started and did one day with no cheats at all but then the next morning I woke up and was really dizzy headed so I ate a bowl of oatmeal. Does anyone have any tips about the dizzyness? Thanks!!

Pseudoephedrine has now been removed from the OTC meds, I believe. I think maybe you can still ge
