About the lawsuit you guys were discussing lastnight...there are a lot more than the 13 people who are showing on the suit. If you notice there is a comment in the suit that says something to the affect that someone lives in the same town or county the Kimmer lives in, or something like that, therefore the suit is valid. Can't remember the exact words. A Class Action Lawsuit covers everyone who was ever involved with that company if approved by the courts so yes, even those "believers (and TT)" would be covered if he wins. They lawyer would get his money first and than anything left over would be distributed to the plaintiffs. Now....it all depends on what they can recover from Kimmer. I'm sure there is no money to be found. Doubt the car will bring in much for him. My opinion is I just want her shut down so no one gets hurt and I'm so thankfully that someone listened to Jeanessa and took the case. Hopefully, we will see some results from it (site shut down). I'd love to see her go to jail but not sure that will happen or if we'd know if it did but with KTLA following stuff...we might but it probably won't be from the lawsuit, I think the AG would have to follow up or the IRS, etc. Hopefully, Chip will keep his eyes open to events in the future.

I think it is a knee jerk reaction when youve been conned by a thief/ liar. I know I was so furious at 1st that I couldnt even think straight. Especially ending up in the hospital last April and not tying the diet with my symptoms. Im an educated gal, I felt so incredibly stupid and mad for falling for her hype. She is clever, molded that site in such a way with the terrific before and afters that I simply got sucked in. Thousands of us did. "SEE, proof that you will come out of this healthier than ever!"

Just typing that makes me mad all over again. Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned.

A couple of things...

On the shake plan - doesn't Dr. Eades have a book called Thin So Fast that recommends four protein shakes a day and one meal of 6-8oz protein with a green veggie or green salad? Is that where Kimmer got it from?

And an update on the boards over there - they're not really dead, but activity has decreased significantly since the WW frenzy. There are still many, many people posting in the challenges, some seeing crazy fast losses, others stalling.

In terms of the community there, what's to stop fervent Kimkineers just setting up their own board if that one gets shut down due to the lawsuit? I feel like a lot of people see this diet as the magic bullet, and it's hard to let go of that feeling.

I didn't know of Jimmy prior to Kimkins, so I am speaking as a person who viewed Jimmy's actions with no preconceived idea of what type of person he was/is. I know others think alot of him, but my gut instinct about him has not been a positive one. It is not only the fact that he made a mistake, because we all do, it was the fact he realizes his mistakes when they are no longer convenient for him or the money starts to dry up.

For instance Jimmy did an interview with Kimmer back in October 2006 that he had on his blog. Again this is NOT the podcast interview, but one 8-9 months before that interview, where he says to kimmer, “you look great today”, which to many implied that the interview was done face to face and they actually thought Jimmy had seen Kimmer. Jimmy did not comment on this issue or correct this misconception UNTIL July 2007 when Martin on slamboard says-"Questions have been raised about well-known low carb diet blogger Jimmy Moore’s interview of Kimmer — did he interview Kimmer in person? The answer is no. This interview was arranged by Catherine, via email, and conducted between Jimmy and Kimmer also by email. Jimmy sent his questions to Catherine, who forwarded them to Kimmer, and Kimmer then emailed the answers back to Jimmy."

Now, with the proof that Jimmy didn't meet Kimmer, Jimmy does admit that he didn't meet her face to face. But he then doesn't fail to get in that he is doing a phone interview with Kimmer for his podcast in the near future. Promote, Promote, Promote.......
If you go to his blog now, where the Oct 2006 interview WAS posted, it now has this statement:
-"The post that appeared here has been removed for not promoting the low-carb community in the professional manner I have come to expect from myself. THANK YOU!"
This reads like it is due to that he didn't feel it professional to promote the kimkins plan in the low carb community....but then why can one still view the transcript of the podcast or the this whole page discussing Kimkins
Jimmy Moore's Livin' La Vida Low-Carbâ„¢ Blog: Who Is Kimmer Behind The Kimkins Diet? still on his blog? I think it is because he was caught in being untruthful and deceptive.

So to recap the chain of events that I noted while reading:
Interview from Oct 10th 2006 is no longer on Jimmy's blog and Jimmy only admits that it is not face to face when Martin calls him out based on Catherine's emails. He then promotes his upcoming podcast with Kimmer in the same breath. Jimmy was an affiliate in Kimkins and he doesn't leave Kimkins as an affiliate until the backlash from the low-carb community contacting his other affiliations. He then apologizes...if you want to call it that, but doesn't take a stand against Kimmer truly or seem to be calling her out until there was more of an outcry from kimkins members and then he made a statement announcing his NEW BB forum for the Kimkin refugees.

Maybe I missed it where he took any responsibility for linking many people, who trusted him and looked to him as a source of Lowcarb information, to kimkins and I also have not seen where he has spoken out about Kimkins to balance the promoting of kimkins that he did for months. That to me would have shown his remorse in the part he has played during this event. Not the recent activity that has been done after a much talked about event, such as the news report, because that appears as more of a way to strike when the iron is hot than anything.
Maybe my opinion of him will change but that is how I view things at this point and time.

For me, it's so hard to get past the fact that he was editing negative posts to appear that people were praising him and agreeing with him. We expected that sort of behavior from Kimmer, but to see him do it, too....... I don't know. I don't think he'll ever win back my respect. I don't care if he apologized for it. He apologized after he got caught.

Now that is true! I was out of the loop on the Jimmy thing and didn't realize how much damage he had caused. Considering what you and HoneyBee said, I think he deserves contempt, no matter how sorry he claims to be. If he knew what was good for him, he'd be shutting his trap and not being so vocal about Kimmer right now. After all, he helped build the Kimpire.

This reminds me of when KK first started up and Tippy was so vindictive that she talked about having a KK "pig roast" at the same place on the same weekend as the LCF pig roast. She went on to talk about how all the KK'ers would be so much thinner than the LCF peeps and how they would put LCF to shame. It was disgusting, and shows how she thinks.

I'm SO glad to know I'm not the only one who gets rubbed the wrong way by Jimmy Moore. He may be well-intentioned, but the guy's got an ego that is just HUGE!

No, I don't think he's totally disingenuous (take that Tippy!) like Heidi-Kims, but he irritates the fire out of me!

IMHO, he tries to promote himself as the web's "Low-Carb Messiah" and I think this is what led him to get involved with Heidi in the first place. It's the old "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" mentality. But, I do think he was scammed by her, FWIW.

If Kimmer is still incognito--as that whole "Danielle" thing showed she IS--and may be using multiple names to make the forum seem busier than it is, how can we know that the votes aren't rigged to make it where Tippy and Kimmer want it be?

See, I don't trust those two as far as Hercules can toss a rock.

Which makes me suspicious about the challenges, too. Maybe some of the stellar results are, um, fictitious?
