So happy to provide a little laughter around here! I don't know about you all, but I'm gonna have a tough time sleeping tonight just waiting to see what's in pt. 3 of the Heidi Chronicles!

It would have to be something at least semi-significant for them to return to this story after so many days. If it were right after the first two stories, I wouldn't think it would necessarily be a BIG deal. But, after a couple of weeks...there would have to be some really good new info to do a follow-up.

Either that or it's a slooooooooowwwwww news day in LA.

Tippy...when Heidi-Kims goes to prison, are you still gonna be her beeeyotch??????

I said yesterday or the day before that I was actually finding the Fit Guru's post to be well thought out and he seems to give good information.
I just saw this posted at Kimkins and I am very happy to see someone over there has finally said no less than 1200 CALORIES!!!!

Renee...unfortunately there is no way for you to know if you burned 51.9 carbs. Not sure where you got that #?? Although, cardio equipment gives you a decent idea of calories burned...it is not extremely accurate. Even if you plug in your height and weight, the machine has no idea of what your muscle mass is (the higher your muscle mass, the more calories you will burn). It throws a very vague number out at you. One way to make this more accurate...purchase a HR monitor. It will be more accurate because it is tracking calories _base_d of your fitness level (how high or low your heart is for an extended period of time).
The main goal is to burn calories. Keep on with your cardio and if you do not have a HR monitor, use the Perceived Exertion Chart: a scale from 0 to 10 _base_d on how you feel while you are working out. The best advice in knowing you are working hard enough and burning sufficient calories is to CHALLENGE yourself.

1 Very weak
2 Weak
3 Moderate
4 Somewhat strong
5 Strong

As for your first question...it is as simple as this- you will lose weight if you burn more calories than you consume. And you will gain weight if you consume more calories than you burn off. Very simple, but very true. So, you must make sure you have enough energy to workout and for your body to function properly (no less than 1200 calories). Working out and gaining and maintaining lean mass and burning fat mass, requires a healthy daily nutritional program.
So, as long as you are focusing on a solid healthy diet and exercising...you will see the results you want! Keep working hard!

Well all know on a Low Carb diet we can eat more cals than we burn and lose (not that we shouldn't exercise as Heidi says, lol)
