ETA I missed the word joint, why is it a fatty? Is it just an extra large one or is it low carb friendly with some coconut oil blended in? Last edited by golite : 10-11-2007 at 10:58 PM. |

RE: the positive Kimmer blog someone posted about on p. 71 of this thread
I just sent the following e-mail to the site's contact. I'll let you know if I get a response! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello. I'm not sure why you've positively reviewed the Kimkins diet plan, but I want to point out some things about it that you may not know. 1. It is a scam. Fake success stories, including the one by the diet's "creator". Do a little google search and see for yourself! 2. Heidi Kimberly Diaz is being investigated by multiple agencies for fraud, tax evasion, false advertising, etc. 3. A class action lawsuit is being processed against her for false claims and for defrauding the members of her website. 4. Anyone who knowingly aids Diaz in promoting her diet and perpetuating this fraud, including her website admins, affiliates, etc. may also be held liable in the lawsuit. I suspect you are a well-meaning person just trying to earn a few bucks. Please, do so in another way. Find a legitimate website with which to do business, for your own sake! Again, I do not expect you to take my word for this. Please search on your own and come to your own conclusions. One of the main success stories, a lady from Texas named Christin has a video on her blog about her health problems stemming from the Kimkins diet. Her blog is called The Journey and is a great place to start learning. Good luck. And, please do the right thing. Don't aid this woman in hurting people. Thank you.

The tone on this thread about "us vs. them" sometimes gets out of hand. (By the way, the definition of "them" keeps changing based on the mood of the crowd...and probably whether they are PUI.) Step back and remember what this thread is -- an expose' on Heidi and Kimkins, her fraud and the dangers of her diet. One of the biggest pros of this thread has been the influx of people from KK, and how they have been welcomed to the weight loss portions of this board in order to continue their journey. If you move this thread to the Playground (a totally inappropriate folder) or only allow "approved" members ("approved" by who???) then you cut off the thousands of people who will be looking for info on KK. This thread is here to tell them the dangers, the scam, that KK is. If you turn it into a "members only" club for the "in crowd", you will be missing out on a bigger, long-term benefit. PS - There are a lot of lurkers who were affected by Heidi/Kimkins who don't post often but have very valid opinions. If we run them off this thread because we imply they have no right to say anything because they don't post very often, what does that say about us? |

I got the cortison shots. (OWIE!) I did the 3 times a day icing. I took the OTC anti-inflammatories/analgesics. I did the stretching exercises, including the one with the belt at first rising (kept my husband's leather belt on the headboard for handiness). I got orthotics. I wore, for 18 -20 months, nothing but sneakers and flat-heeled boots with the orthotics. (Yes, no pretty, girlie shoes for nearly two years.) That fixed me up. I stopped having the middle of the night agonies, the early morning torture. I did have to give up heels as anything but a once-in-a-while, special occasion treat. I eventually invested in all well-cusioned shoes--Naturalizer, Easy Spirit, Hush Puppies, Softspots, Propet, Cloudwalkers--even the dressier ones. I adapted my wardrobe, getting rid of most dresses and skirts and switching to pants and generally "sportier" wear that allowed me to wear flat pumps, skimmers, Rockport boots, sneakers, moccasins, and low-chunkier heeled Mary Janes, etc, without feeling weird. Heck, I even tried Birkenstocks (ugly and didn't really help). In the end, I adapted to make my feet happy. I can wear cuter shoes now, but they're all well-cushioned in the soles. I haven't used the orthotic in years. Stilettos are not in my vocabulary. The Princess![]()

![]() See I knew someone would say what is a fatty or why is that funny. I threw in the joint portion to clarify. Welcome to illegal drug use 101... .They call it a fatty because they "super-size" them for those who like to smoke marijuana like some smoke tobacco. They will even put it in cigars. That should give you a good visual Golite and if not flip the flat screen over to MTV and maybe you can catch Snoop Dawg firing one up. LOLQuote:

Really. I noticed the difference in how much easier I can stride and how much farther I can go with my Brooks for over-pronators, noticeably moreso than with my regular Avia/Nike/Propet/Etc sneaks. My knee and my heels never hurt when I use them to do errands or take a long stroll on the Hollywood Broadwalk. The Princess![]() |

Gee, kinda nice coming back after an evening out and not having to read 30 pages.
Sure glad someone asked about the "fatty" because, I was afraid to...but will be interesting to see if he answers it or if it gets pulled. To Diania or whomever that was (sorry, senior moment on name) looking at all the sites behind the scene, good job. I keep checking too but after a while they all start looking alike and dang...there sure are a lot of pretty ladies on them. I get a kick out of the ones who are the same but with a different hair color...just makes more to look at.

Honey, lastnight I was looking for fakes and I noticed the pic of Kimmer in the lounge chair that they said her son took at home or whatever, wasn't there anymore. What happened to it? Did we decide it wasn't one we'd find or what? Think it was mentioned in the last thread but I think I kinda skipped over it some...sorry.

Yes, it's free. I love Firefox.
As for a joint being called a fatty...that's a term used by those marijuana smokers who enjoy them rolled extra fat and packed with "herb." I don't indulge, but I know the terminology because my dad loved the stuff. Heh. ![]() |

This is a topic I am well versed on. After doing all the suggestions above, I finally got rid of it and it only took less than a week!!!! If you get the plantar fasciitis BOOTS that you wear to bed, you will be cured in less than a week (I know I just realized I sound like Kimmer, lol). I have done this, then my hubby, then my sister, then my friend. All cured in a matter of days. These boots remind me of Herman Munster, in that they are big. They keep your feet in a flexed position stretching your Achilles tendon. You need to wear them while you sleep and do not take them off. You can walk to the bathroom in them, but thats about it. You can also wear them while skimming this thread for hours, lol. Along with the Advil or Aleve and other stretches and icing it when you can, you will be cured. I promise. You can get the boots from a doctor or you can get them online. Just Google it and you will find some. They work miracles. Michele |
