those people being??? I posted it and took it as a reply to me!! if you have somthing specific to say to a specific person on a specific post....QUOTE it then reply! that is what its there for! I took offence because like I said, I never signed up with KK, I never signed the lawsuit, but I am still trying to help! It was offensive because it was a general comment after several people replied to my post!

Awww, don't lurk, conbo! Montrealers have never been known to be silent, unless you're from Westmount! *waves from relatively noisy Snowdon*
Moving to the Playground is an idea worth considering, but I don't want to exclude the most recent members of Banned Camp by posting in a place with restricted access. There's a significant welcoming process that takes place in this thread, which is basically the "guichet unique" (access point) for newbies. The ability to have information plus mega-support in one thread has been helpful for many people, and I'd hate to not keep this going. There *are* other ways of keeping information on the down-low, however, such as PMs (which are "P" and not just "Ms" here!), e-mails, closed Yahoo groups, and so on. Just sayin'......

ETA didn't see your last post; Every time the subject is brought up (no fault of yours) there are certain people that comment, not just here, about "getting rid" of these threads. I wanted my comment out there in general to those people. I never dreamed any of you would take it personal since you don't fit the criteria! I'm sorry for the misunderstanding! ![]() That's why I added the "thin walls" comment. Last edited by golite : 10-11-2007 at 05:36 PM. |

If I was wrong, I certainly apologize. I think that it was taken wrong because you didn't address it to one certain person or group of posters, and there was no quote for reference. The way the post read seemed to insinuate that those who haven't been posting daily on these threads were those to whom you were referring. I think anyone trying to help should have a voice. ![]() I think LeighDear beat me to it. |

Errr... about that 800 calorie minimun that Tippy keeps harping that some misunderstood and went below 800 calories. I copied this on June 14th 2007 and it plainly says under the Shake Option "up to 800 calories a day" and under Vegeterian "because of the higher carbs up to 1000 calories a day".
It's easy to see Kimkins pushed you to under 800 calories. No misunderstanding about it: Copied on June 14, 2007... Kimkins is purposely designed as a very simple and extremely effective weight loss plan! There's no complicated rules, formulas or food combinations. You aren't forced to read hundreds of pages to find what you need. Listed below are the guidelines for each Kimkins Diet option. That's it! Pick the one you like, follow the easy rules exactly and enjoy fast weight loss! KIMKINS DIET The original Kimkins Diet As much lean protein as desired from the Kimkins Food List 0-20 total carbs (no fiber or sugar alcohol subtraction) 0-3 cups List 1 veggies or 0-2 cups List 1 veggies + 0-1 cup List 2 veggies Use minimal fat to make your menu work (careful, calories count!) No alcohol or low carb products (sugar free candy, energy bars, ice cream, frozen meals) Your appetite will reduce naturally after 3-5 days Take a complete multivitamin each day plus other desired supplements KIMMER EXPERIMENT (K/E) K/E is used to reach ketosis quickly or as a jumpstart for other Kimkins Options As much lean protein as desired from the Kimkins Food List Minimal low-carb condiments and spices may be used sparingly No alcohol, no cheese, no fatty meats, no fats, no veggies Your appetite will drop naturally after 3-5 days Take a complete multivitamin each day plus other desired supplements You may remain on K/E as long as desired KIMKINS BOOT CAMP The most popular Kimkins Option! 30 minutes of intense daily exercies required Breakfast Up to 2 eggs (cooked without fat) Up to 1/2 cup List 2 veggies Up to 2 oz lean ham or other lean protein (raw/cured weight) Unlimited non-calorie beverage Lunch Up to 4 oz lean protein (raw weight) Up to 2 cups mixed greens + Wishbone Spritzer dressing (or caloric equivalent) Unlimited non-calorie beverage Dinner Up to 4 oz lean protein (raw weight) Up to 2 cups mixed greens + Wishbone Spritzer dressing (or caloric equivalent) Unlimited non-calorie beverage Take a complete multivitamin each day plus other desired supplements VEGETARIAN OPTION Vegetarian products have higher carbs so a calorie limit is suggested Aim for no more than 1000 calories per day Daily Limits 0-20 total carbs from all sources, no fiber subtraction 0-3 servings of protein substitutes including tofu, eggs, egg substitutes, protein powders 0-2 servings of higher carb choices including tempeh, Gardenburger and Boca products 0-2 servings of dairy choices including yogurt, soft cheese, hard cheese 0-3 cups of List 1 veggies 0-1 cups of List 2 veggies Use minimal fat for cooking Unlimited non-calorie beverages A serving is per the product label Use low calorie salad dressings and "light" butter substitutes (no trans fats) Take a complete multivitamin each day plus other desired supplements Due to higher carbs in vegetarian products, appetite reduction may not occur MEAL REPLACEMENT SHAKE OPTION Designed for convenience, automatic portion control and error proof Up to 800 calories per day Up to 16 total carbs per day Up to 80 protein grams per day 0-4 RTD (Ready-to-Drink) meal replacements shakes per day or 0-4 homemade protein shakes per day (15+ grams protein per shake) RTD shakes should not exceed 200 calories and 4 carbs each Protein powder should not exceed 200 calories and 4 carbs per serving Protein powder may be mixed with any very low calorie beverage Do not use milk for mixing protein powder You may prefer to have 2 shake meals + 1 Kimkins food meal for variety Take a complete multivitamin each day plus other desired supplements

I'm laughing about the "energy" ...... I'm bound to have some seeing as how I spent the last 4 months reading this thread instead of doing chores! I served my husband dinner on a regular plate and even washed it. About the gals that are talking about moving/not moving this thread. I know that some people mostly lurk - but like one gal said she spent a lot of time looking at the Russian Brides but doesn't post much. I just want to thank all of you (behind/or in front of the scene) for the posting, research, and alerting the various agencies. We ALL have worked hard at this and we will be successful. Thank you!

My friend who I am currently bunking up with is in awe. She leaves for work, I'm on the computer, she comes home, I'm in the same spot, on the same thread

I have to admit, though, I have been thinking about people reading here. Like the Russian brides. Those would not have been taken down had it not been for people viewing the threads. I don't have time to view every single post here, but someone did take screen shots of the original webpage at kimkins.com, right? (I'm so computer illiterate, I'd have no idea how! LOL)
Anyway, I'm going to make hot cocoa and watch Survivor. Check back later! |

Whew, caught up again.. lol
I'm really PO'd that "Dr" Mark cleaned up his website.. that just shows what a con he is, just like Heidi. False and exaggerated claims quickly erased when the truth comes knocking. What gets me is that people on the KK site will take his stupid advice and could end up in worse trouble! I find it so hard to accept that there are people like Heidi, Jeannie, Mark (dorkusmalorkus, lol) et al, that will put people in harm's way just for a few quick (and dirty) dollars. Shame on them. I'm thoroughly disgusted (as if I wasn't before!). |

It is deceiving and wrong to keep a post of a member stickied up that doesn't support the diet anymore.
The new owners really should take it down. Topic is sticky. Christin's FAQ - HOW I DID IT (you can too!) by Christin [Page: 1...51,52,53 |
