Dang. I won't be there until the 21st at the earliest

Yeah, I know it's a bit of a drive. I went to HS in Brandon and used to skip to go to the beach in Bradenton (Anna Maria actually)... Bet there's a lot more there than ummm well let's just say it was a few years ago!

Are you feeling any ground shocks?

Maybe you should apply for a staff position. Gina can even make you a degree. Just pick what profession you want to practice. Just kidding I know you wouldn't but it does seem sort of odd doesn't it that they are all right there that close when we are dealing with an internet website.

BTW- I am sorry you have to battle with lymphedema. Does Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT) help?
It is a horrible condition to have to deal with and I wish you all the best.

I don't think that they are. Kimmer won't give this up without a fight that TAKES it away from her.

I have a messed up left knee (the ACL is screwed up), and the Elliptical sends shooting pain radiating from that knee. When I had a personal trainer in 2003, he immediately put me on the Elliptical. I immediately started yowling. We moved on to the bike and treadmill.

So, no. You're not alone. I suppose it depends on WHAT is the specific issue with the knee. Maybe those who have one thing can do it fine, and not those who have another. I have the "another."

I can bike fine if it's recumbent. Can walk at a slowish to moderately slowish okay. If they put me at anything above 2.4 or 2.5 MPH, the left knee down goes numb, my foot drags, I have to stop.

Of course, we might simply be a select group of "freaks of nature."

Kimkins is no longer sponsoring a Cruise. Sorry!

If they signed up they will probably be going or have cancelled.

(I really like Gary. He's just trying to help.Impressive fit day too. He keeps it low)
Hmmmn, now why would this cruise be cancelled? why would it up and disappear? Do you think she will ask?

This posted at kimkins and was posted here this morning. The post included the website as shown above.

I then went to the link and went to the about me page and posted it here below Kim's post here on the boards. The about me page of the person who owns the site, that Fitness Guru put in his post at kimkins, reads exactly like the short information given by him at Kimkins regarding his professional crendentials.
This would lead one to believe that they are one and the same.

That is the assumption based on the above. I would say 99.99% sure. I don't know that the Fitness Guru has posted I am Nick Clark as of yet, but you see the train of thought here.
You are probably not lost but the popping up of cloaked staff members can make it all more difficult to keep up.

I have an elipitical and when trying to use it a few months ago, I popped something in my groin...still hurts when I move my leg a certain way. I did read or hear somewhere that there were different "sizes". You need to pick one that has the correct foot size or something like that. Thought is was interesting as mine was given to me.

Princess - if you are acl deficient, the very nature of the translational movement of the eliptical would create shear force right across the knee joint. Ouch! For the general population, they can be good and low impact, but they really do need to be customized for each person - you need to be able to adjust the stride length, the lift, and the translation.

I'm a boring treadmill gal myself too. I do love biking though too.

I hate stairclimbers as they will wreak havoc on your knees unless you really get them adjusted correctly (and how many people actually do that?)

Oh ouch!!! I am sorry to hear that

Yes they are not universal, yet rarely are people ever shown how to select the correct one or how to make adjustments accordingly

Thanks, Kim! And yes, it felt like "shear" pain, all right.

The stairs also are not Princess-friendly. But I"m with you. I'd rather just put on a learning tape or some kicking music and do the treadmill. I also find it's GREAT for meditating, plotting, and praying. (And by plotting, I don't mean as in "take over the Hemisphere" like Hugo Chavez or "start insane diet plan to make big bucks" like Heidi, but the fiction-related sort of plots.)

Now, if we could just get the a/c fixed back there where the treadmill is, I can get back on it. (Hurricane Wilma really did a number on our back rooms, and we still aren't back to normal there. Nowhere else in the house has enough space for that enormous treadmill!)

Wow, this thread is way to hard to keep up with. I've been off it for about two weeks now and was wondering has anything happened to Kimmer yet? I checked out kimkins today and saw that Christin is still a featured story and kimkins gear is up for sale again. What's going on?
