This is the key. I don't care where he lives, how many ex-wives he has, or if he likes to do the cha-cha in his underwear . . . I do care if he holds the proper licenses to practice what he claims on his site.It looks like the only active license he holds is for Acupuncture. On his site he claims he "combines modalities from massage, bodywork, physical therapy, chiropractic, chinese medicine and osteopathic medicine to give you exactly what your condition requires." I take exception to the fact that he is performing potentially dangerous modalities without proper licensure. A person can not perform chiropractic modalities without being a licensed chiropractor -- this is a fact. There is a very good reason why chiropractors have to sit their behinds in school and pass tests. The amount of harm he can do to one of his 'live' patients in mind blowing. I feel bad if someone at KK takes some bad advice without checking the facts; I feel worse for an unsuspecting client who gets screwed up because Dr. Mark thinks he has the right to perform procedures he has no business doing. I applaud alternative medicine; I applaud those who take the time and effort to learn their fields and obtain proper licensure. Maybe he does have a Chiropractic license, maybe he does have a PT license (hiding somewhere) -- it's for the proper authorities to discover. The Florida Department of Health Division of Medical Quality Assurance Board of Chiropractic Medicine is aware of the situation. I'm sorry if it offends anyone, but I couldn't live with myself knowing that this Doctor may be putting peoples physical beings in harms way. If he is legit, then having the board where he is certified check him out does no harm; if he's a quack practicing without proper credentials, then he deserves reprimand. It's great to make a buck -- dh could perform chiropractic modalities on the sly and pull in more money, but he has ethics (and would have his real licenses pulled faster than I could sneeze). Just my 2 cents. |

"Who is Dr. Mark? Where's Kimmer? 11 Hours, 46 Minutes ago Who is this Dr. Mark I've seen popping up on different forums?? Is Kimmer no longer associated with this website? Is anyone that originally started this website still here??? How do we know the new owners will not change the original Kimkins diet if she's not here to oversee?? I'm kinda confused." If she asked questions on the boards then why aren't they being answered there? Shouldn't everyone have the benefit of those answers if they were asked publicly?

For those who need a Fawn fix
![]() "Re:Cycling Plan Challenge--Who's up for a change-up? 1 Hour, 19 Minutes ago hi everyone... rushing off to work.. okay I will be late but still... I am going. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLl focus on the positive I say LOL dont have time to post, but here is my journal from yesterday, will chat with you guys later tonight, hugssssssssss fawn Wednesday, October 10, 2007 Journal Topic: GRATEFUL FOR THE LITTLE SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE THAT MAKE US HAPPIER I know this may sound silly but I just wanna like take a moment to mention the things I am grateful for recently in my life. EXERCISE: I am grateful to our lil energizer bunny Cosmo on Kimkins. She is so energetic she makes me sick LOL.. okay sick with jealously truth be told cause ya know. I wanna be like that... like do exercise BEYOND two weeks in a row and stuff, like make it a habit, cause ya know I get lazy truth be told, no sense in lying. I am not lazy when it comes to projects but exercise is a wholeeeeeeeeeeeee different kinda thing. LOL. So after much reading of her adventurous exercise routines which would get me exhausterd just Reading it, I will admit that over a course of time, it INSPIRED me and so I turned my 5 to 10 minute exercise routine , drugging it mind you, into a a FUN thing that I can stick get-it-over with kinda thing quickly but at the same time love the soreness of my body as I work out. I am on day FOUR with my resistance training routine and I can do it in TEN minutes and I actually LOVE IT.. I cant believe it... its not a chore, its FUN. Because even though I dont like to really do exercise... there is ALWAYS a way to make it FUN and enjoyable. I have an addictive, habitual, obbessive, systematic fun personality and if I can find a way to do something EFFECTIVELY in as little time as possible, ya know fawn is doing it LOL. So kudos to Cosmo and her "contagous" energizer bunny outlook on body movement PROJECTS: When I set my mind to do a project.. even though it seems overwhelming and I know FULL well that it will take hours or days, I throw myself INTO the project in an obessive way because I loveeeeeeeeeeeee SPACE and ORGANIZATION, and what I love more is the AFTERMATH of organization and space and discovering NEW ways or better ways to create more space and organization and simplifying things Case in point: Decluttering the bookshelf IN the den.. now mind you I had binders and binders of information and documentation, which totaled up to boxes of binders and paper in those binders. Things ya know I just had to have photocopied and photocopying books or information in MULTIPLES. It was saddddddd when I went thru it and discovered HOW obessessive I can be sometimes... a collector of junk. LOL. Girllllllllllllllll When I was done 90% of the way of throwing papers out from those binders and duplication of papers... you would NOT believe that I had 4 heavy duty construction trash bags filled up to 75% with JUST papers... It was so heavy that my son had to drag it OUT of the house and put it in the trash man's truck that arrived this morning. By the way, the trash man who I am SURE was SHOCKED when he pulled up in front of my house early this morning and saw all that trash and empty boxes from cleaning OUT my garage this past weekend.. yep definitely a pack rat I tell ya. I went outside sick and all and offered to help them load the truck and he said well I usually charge an additional $15.00 for a pick up that is beyond 3 trash cans but I will waiver that this time and naturally I put on my shy flirtateous smile in happiness as i said thank you soooooooo much Between those two employees from the trash can and my strong son, all that trash went IN the trash can dump truck and I was sooooooooooooo HAPPY to see the de-cluttering GONE!!! yahooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! FRIENDSHIPS AND BONDING ON KIMKINS WEBSITE: Ya know there are NO words to share how I feel about the endless friendships and bonding that we have on this site. It just literally floors me. I am so grateful that there are just NO words to explain the joy here. Like today, When I stood home from work, ill from last night and the wee hours of the morning throwing up.... I was suffering because I missed being on the computer today. But low and behold, before I can have FUN, I had to rest the body and allow it to heal from last nights over-indulgence and not allowing my body to digest the food before laying down to sleep and it resulted in acid reflux. that was gross! and it was a major lesson that I learned, smiles. When I felt better I had to work a few hours on the computer to complete a major project deadline that just had to be done! But I sooooooooooo longed to be with my precious friends online, the ones who together have journied thru positives and momentary rough spots. My friends on kimkins.com that are like family, for they are the ONLY ones who know what we go thru and the ONLY ones who understands us, loves and supports us in our journey, so kudos to my babies here. smiles. Yes they are my babies. LOL giggling. FREEDOM BLOSSOMING AND THE JOY OF DISCOVERY: As the months, weeks, days and hours go by and I feel the results of hard work and determination... I bask and I mean literally BASK in the glow of a deeper FREEDOM. A freedom of not only the fact of being controlled by food, but the freedom and joy of discoveries along the journey and the FUN of doing projects and the FUN of body movement and the FUN of discovering how our bodies react to foods and varying plans like on the cycling plan I am on and Othilia and all my friends there... its just nice and warm and friendly to be around mature ADULTS who really and genuinely care about people and who don't have or make time for the pettiness of the past but focus on the future and the right now kinda thingy. I can't thank the Admins enough for keeping taps on things and nipping things in the BUD, swiftly and effectively for NOW this place is like a warm home with all sitting around the couch or floor with pillows and just chatting about our day kinda thing. I believe the Admins set an example of not only keeping the peace with _style_ and grace, but genuinely caring for people in the overall of things and the overall pciture of a warm and welcoming place of focusing on the journey before us. Can ya just feelllllllllllllllllll the love here? I can and that brings me peace of mind. On this site you don't see things like bad mouthing other sites or people, what you see is mature people FOCUSING on the journey and helping other people out and hugging each other and suporting and listening and just like being there for one another. Kimkins.com is a slammin' place girlfriend. They even leave the light on for those who are away for a few days and wanna come back home kinda thing. They are cool peoples. and they know if people want to try new things, why have them leave here.. why not share and discover it right HERE on this website and precious Kimmer, just adorable and loving finds a way for us to venture forth and created a new forum of cycling so we can try new things guilt-free. Its just wonderful and Othilia is doing a slammin' job, I tell ya she be ON it girlfriend. All the Admins are on it, smiles. Look at the AMAZING DISCOVERIES ABOUT DRINKING WATER that we all recently learned.. that just blew me away so now I find myself drinking plain water and the correct amount of water for my body with MUCH GUSTO. Yep water consumputer is not only a necessity but wonderful when ya learn all that water does for YOU. It is also wonderful to learn that no matter what anyone says, YOU know what and how much your body feels comfortable at with food consumption and varying tastes and appetities. Example: I dont like greasy foods, instead I like low fat, I bask in low fat eating because to ME its the joy of eating fun and clean foods and eating lite and I loveeee eating at a certain caloric intakes NOW and feel more comfortable doing so NOW, whereas over-dulgence just throws my body into havick... well ya know the list goes on and on of the things and people I can savor on in the joys of discovery and happiness on. It's just wonderful to learn stuff and share stuff with people and have them relate or listen patiently, and we share about the realities of life with jobs, family, friends, careers, projects, toys, projects, de-cluttering, organizations, creating more space in our lives and homes, learning to move with fun, sales, recipes, sports, quiet moments, elation and feelings and stuff and just like having fun hanging out with one another and allllll in the process of GROWTH and the JOYS OF DISCOVERY and the FREEDOM of BLOSSOMING and basking in the joys of FOCUSING ON THE POSITIVE... is more than wonderful, its home. I hope that makes sense, because it makes sense to me. smiles. and in conclusion.... the biggest discovery or lesson of all is.................... " THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME ON KIMKINS.COM " |

Kimkins events
"Re:Kimkins Cruise 7 Minutes ago Don't you worry though! We are planning some events for next year instead that will be more Kimkins friendly. Nothing decided yet but ideas are coming in and the potential for a good time is HUGE! There will definatly be a gathering either next spring or summer and more. In Feb there is a walk for breast cancer in TX and we are considering sponsorship with enough turn out. We'll have to see what our members want to do. Stay tuned!" |

Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable (I changed the time up above in fear of the ghost in the room) I lost my best at around 700 cals. It was clear to me. And how about the 500 cals during boot camp? Then again, I was on the kimkins crack smoking option which is no longer there. I think they deleted that thread ![]() |

I weigh more than 375 and mobility is still a big big problem for me, but I'm able to use the elliptical trainer at the gym where I live. Not for very long mind you, but about 7-10 straight minutes and working on increasing that little by little. The treadmill and stepper machines hurt my knees a LOT more. I'm sure it's different for everyone so I'm not saying you're a freak, lol, just wanted to share. |
