Stalling 6 Hours, 29 Minutes ago
Hi Dr. Mark,

Could you tell me a little more about stalls? For about the last month I seem to be in a semi-stall. By that I mean I lose 1 or 2 pounds overnight and then nothing for a week or so. Last month I only lost 7 pounds, compared to the other 2 month where I lost at least 10 pounds each month. Am I too greedy about keeping to want to lose 2-3 pounds a week compared to 1 - 1.5? My calories are about 700-900 a day.

Any advise will be appreciated.

I hope he doesn't tell her she should "exercise"

have you contacted the Children services office they are investigating this as it is illegal to raise funds for your kids even if you do have them.

I am having a lot of thyroid issues. I was hypo and now I have drooped my level to a scary level of ....(.05) I have been treated for hypo for two years and had a level of (4.0). And holding steady and doing well . In 3 months mine dropped that far and has been a mess.
The dig graves disease was brought up also. What a mess...

It should be noted that AmyB is one of Kimkins' "success stories", having lost 76 pounds on Kimkins and being featured on the home-page. I guess she doesn't see the connection. So sad.

This is Amy B. I wanted to let you know that I am taking full control of my health. I was so upset with my medical report. I have always taken great care of my thyroid and been really happy that I had it under control for two years. Needless to say I was shocked when my normal level dropped to a very abnormal level of .05. I also was very shocked to learn that my Vit D level was abnormal at a level of 23.4. the Dr was sure this was a test error made to the fact I live in Fl and I am tan and always outside with 4 children. She re ran them and the new level was lower at 13.9. I am working closely with my Dr to fix these issues. In fact I will be seeing her tomorrow .
I did the kimkins diet and I lost weight. I also know that being so close to goal and not feeling good I need to learn to add more foods in. Heck what is the use of all of this if I end up sick or even worse.
I stay at KK because I am in a wonderful small group of ladies who support each other and try to focus on family and health. We have been in a race together for months.
I am working on a new plan that will help me get well fast.
I'm so glad you're on top of this. I wish you and your family well.

Yeah, I don't like that at ALL!

I was debating about posting these because I'd hate to get anyone banned over at Kimkins . But then I figured anyone could search here since it's a public forum.

Here's what one of Kimkins 'true' success stories has to say about Kimkins.

I hope her boss isn't lurking here.

Calling all Kimmers Maintainers--how has it been for you?

Quote:
Although I am a big Kimmer fan (and I really am) I have seen too many folks get trapped without being able to raise calories or carbs later, making it impossible to live on over 800 calories a day without gaining. After seeing so many, I made the decision to use her plan as a cycle back and forth with Atkins. I am and always will be truly grateful for Kimkins (it really does work) and found it so very valuable for me when Atkins just wouldn't move the pounds anymore. But, I do think you shouldn't stay on it too long, as the body has an ability to "adjust" to plans. .
Quote:
please keep posting here as I am interested in your progress. Take very seriously what CartBabe said... Don't stay too long on Kimkins, OK?
Quote:
I also cycle it back and forth with Atkins which happens to be the best plan in my opinion. Just wondering if you had given Atkins a try first and if so what happened. You see, although Kimkins works fast and is also a great plan it is so few calories and carbs that sometimes I see people getting stuck on it and unable to ever add more back in without a gain.
Quote:
I think the problem with running on few calories and carbs for long periods gives the body a chance to adapt to it by slowing metabolism into the conserve mode. Now I am not knocking Kimkins cause it does work, but when I do use it the time frame is brief, a week or so, then I go back to Atkins. So I would never drop calories and carbs so low for an extended period. If I were you I would go plan shopping and try something new that may better suit your needs. Kimkins is hard--we all know that. Why continue doing it for little results? You may well do better with some fruits, veggies, whole grains and limited protein.
Quote:
Anyways, the people from BFFL say to switch to their program and stay on it. My friend lost nothing for a couple months but said she did enjoy the foods. Then, it started coming off again! Now she can eat 2000 calories a day, enjoy whole grains and fruits and lose weight too. Her metabolism was corrected by this plan. Now, to be honest, if I had a lot to lose this is where I would go. And I would follow the plan like it says and cut no foods back or skip meals. But I am only really shooting for 5 lbs and calling it done so I chose one final (I hope) Kimkins round to acheive it. It's been a while since I did Kimkins so perhaps it won't fail me this time either.
Quote:
I honestly think the best way is Atkins. It's the easiest and pretty effective for most in the beginning
Quote:
Truth is I never could stay on Kimkins more than a week at 800 calories without taking at least a 2 week or longer Atkins break.

She can't honestly believe there are NEW owners? No one on earth would buy into Heidi's mess. She is the one that has to clean it up before even thinking of selling it. I didn't know she had registered this "business" with the appropriate government agencies. What is she selling - a website? What's that worth? Why not just start your own instead of buying into a "business" that has been proven to be fraudulent?
"New owners" doesn't necessarily mean "new people". Heidi probably created a "new company" and then had it purchase/transfer the assets of Kimkins from the old company/person (herself) to the newly created company. The new company would now be the new owner. Thus, she could rightly say "I no longer own it".... and whisper to herself "but the company I own does."

Is it legal? Probably yes. Is it honest? No. But when has a little thing like honesty ever mattered to Heidi.

But like others, I agree: There's no way she let go of it. My bet is that she's still the owner.

When I was filing my complaint with the BBB,I noticed that under contacts for Kimskin and Heidi it list her son Brandon. Do you think maybe she just put it in his name until all of this can be settled?~~~Mel

You just reminded me of the sketch Chris Farley did on SNL - he was a motivational speaker who lived in a van down by the river. It was hysterical because he fell on a coffee table and it broke, which it wasn't supposed to. David Spade had a really hard time not cracking up after that happened.

Kimkins Workshops for anyone interested? Cooking demo? Motivational speaker (thinking of Chris Farley on SNL and a "van down by the river")!

Chris Farley is who she said or did someone add that comment?

But why, if people have nothing to hide, professionals should not proudly display their credentials and CVs for us here? After all, we are being asked to take their advice in lieu of Kimmer who ( ) is no longer here. I think we have the right to know exactly who we are talking to. Kimmer, and you and most of the admins here make no secret about who they are and what they have done and why they are qualified to dispense advice to us. Why should Dr. Mark and the Fitness Guru be any different?

Why in the world would you or anyone else care what "others" are saying about you?
When you have right on your side, you should be able to stand tall and with pride, not hide in fear.

they do not want their reputations and personal lives ripped apart by the pitbulls

That is a scary statement, and maybe I don't get it There are always people who are jealous of success who will take potshots at you. Believe me I know!! But I don't let those types of people dictate how I run my business or affect my integrity and openness with my customers.

Sorry for the long post, I just felt it needed to be asked. Thank you for all you do!
Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable

But then, much as I like to Google medical items on the Net, I do not believe everything I read, and I do practice Caveat Emptor! The only victims over on KK left after the intense info blitz of the past weeks are willing ones.
At this point, this is my line in the sand.
(bolding is mine)
But can't the same be said of Dr. Mark? I say this when asking is he not willingly there, not a victim I would say now, but making his own destiny, because he is profiting off of the situation of the victims? He was given information early into his experience with Kimkins. He has verified that he received the information regarding the fraud, based on Tippy's statement. Yet, he is still there after being given the information and that makes one wonder why.

SMP I know we agreed to disagree and I am not trying to change your mind :::she says while twisting SMP's arm behind her back:::
This was not just directed at you, but I quoted you because your comment about those still at the site caught my eye.

I am only trying to point out that other members here have said in various ways to give Dr. Mark a break in what role he is playing in this Kimkins saga now, but why give him more of a break than Kimmer? We are only going beyond questioning his motives, because he is profiting from this situation as well as he could harm someone if he is providing incorrect advice.

I don't think we can list reasons such as: the site is not what it was because Kimmer's fake picture is gone, or because the fake success stories don't scroll on the front anyone, or because Tippy has asked members not to go under 800 calories, or the diet is different or list any of the recent changes at the site as reasons for Dr. Mark to not be viewed as being suspicious and responsible for the role he is taking but at the same time imply those members who now stay are choosing their own outcomes or willing victims, because keep in mind most of them came before the site was white-washed and have not been contacted directly about the fraud. In other words they didn't have the same benefits that Dr. Mark has now received.

I think many of us were waiting to see if Dr. Mark's actions would warrant not delving into his professional or personal career before reacting and would gladly have left things alone if he had walked away from Kimkins and would have welcomed him here if he had sto
