YES! 100% Agreed! That is WHY Dr. Mark does need to be observed and reported in my opinion.
• By Dr. Mark giving out incorrect advice he could potentially be doing harm to those who take it.

• By Dr. Mark being there and looked as an authority to give out advice it may prevent members from going to seek proper medical treatment and is contributing to their health problems.
• Dr. Mark does not appear qualified to give out the advice he is doling out and may not be legally able to do such. But by using the Dr. title he is offending many medical physicians and other healthcare providers who are able to use that title and don’t abuse it with trying to practice beyond their realm of expertise.

Rhundt this is not directed at you personally, because it reads as if we are on the same page regarding Dr. Mark's actions.

I am asking this question to anyone.

For those who don't feel Dr. Mark should be reported, observed or discussed while he is on staff at Kimkins.
I have to ask how his he different from what we attempting to stop Heidi/Kimmer from doing at kimkins?
Some of the issues with Kimmer/Heidi Diaz:
• By Kimmer spreading incorrect information she was causing harm to the members?
• By Kimmer giving out bad dieting advice and calling it low carb the entire low carb community is/was concerned on how it would make the low carb community appear?
• By Kimmer giving out bad advice on how to lose weight she was preventing people from actually getting their health back and even contributing to their problems.
• Kimmer was not qualified to give out the advice and by using the names of Dr. Atkins and Dr. Stillman she was lowering their work and what they had achieved.

Back home, and finally catching up on some postings......

Maid of Erin, I'm just wondering, have you heard back from Dr. Mark yet - or 'again'? Whatever his reply, or lack, it's probably going to be based on Dr. Mark and Tippy being old friends. This is irrefutable and corroborated, so I still question why would they not announce that in his introduction? Too, he is certainly going to be guarded in his responses. Doesn't imply that he's a 'bad guy', but just a 'loyal friend', nothing ill meant. At least now for certain he is aware of the facts, so it's easier to heave a sigh and know he is properly informed and not being bombarded!

From what others on this forum indicate, he still has the platform on that site of giving advice, too, and is plunging in with taking that role of distributing counsel to those with some rather serious conditions. If it is not legit, then how sad they continue to pull in others who are wanting to get professional guidance, and are grasping at answers, albeit misguided. Still, he may be quite credible and have some good points to offer, or helpfully steer them to other sources of expertise outside of his own limitations! We hope so, and yet why don't they simply come out and say (or admit, if they have been asked?) that they have been acquainted before? What's to hide? That would seem to add weight to those eager subscribers and give them assurance that there is a connection, rather than the sudden appearance of an 'outsider'. Or am I off base, and have they already done so?

Hmmm.......This may well be more than anyone desires to know; but after reading recent posts, I was surprised that there remained any shred of reasonable doubt, or lack of evidence with conviction as to the aforementioned friendship. Therefore, am relaying this (below) solely with intent to assist in clarification of posts here, to illustrate, lest there be any doubt as to the relationship / connection in question. With these same parties having had other residences in other counties and also in other states, it is beyond "happenstance" or speculation that there is any "coincidence" in this matter of their association going back in time. And yes, they are two different people with very different ages, genders, backgrounds, records.

Note actual distance between previous legally-registered residences of Dr. Mark Thomas Brinson and Ms. TippyToes, undeniably indicating only living less than a third of a mile apart! Sure, they both have moved around several times and lived in several other locations; but this reporting of their having lived at these two residences at one point is absolute fact. I may not have google (ing?their maps?), but I do know mapquest, at any rate; lately rather uninvolved other than through friends and family, on which I certainly agree that the "fascination with kimmer" is rather tiresome to all. Yet my concern persists for their health, and in reading of the posts of those I care about here, and what they will pass along and interject.

Naturally, we all abhor fraud, and deception in any form repulses us to the core! Honest people attract honest people, those of quality! I've observed that here, with the refreshing open banter along with the honesty in sharing, the maturity of taking a stand as well as attempting to educate others, with the compassion for the health of others. Even the smaller matters do...... matter! When those stoop to "shielding", either through being evasive or outright lying, it is not so much the concern for the action as it is to question the 'underlying' reasons! Why not the truth? Why not choose to be without blemish or cast a shadow, just to come out and state a previous relationship?

All posts are certainly well taken, gals, and perhaps a shift back to more involvement with the other forums that are in refrain from this topic title is best for us, too!

It should be noted that AmyB is one of Kimkins' "success stories", having lost 76 pounds on Kimkins and being featured on the home-page. I guess she doesn't see the connection. So sad.

The issues Dr. Mark wrote about seem like they are Hyper vs Hypo....but he is the DR..Not me, right?

Kimmer is still posting but now as "admin" instead of "kimmer". I went in briefly yesterday on a borrowed PW and there was one old post made by kimmer that now looked as if posted by admin (by mistake, I'm sure). The admin hasn't been there for long. Last night when I checked she just had 7 posts.

On another note, did anyone watch Heroes Monday?
There was a surreal Kimmer-ish moment when the girl who could cast illusions lost her illusion. She had been presenting herself as this slim, young red-head and when the illusion was broken, she was a heavier brunette (they didn't show her face, but I'd guess older as well) ... it was just fitting with all this stuff that has come out about Kimmer.

Listen to the woman!

If some of these things sound familiar they probably are.

Obesity and skipping too many meals really does a number on this organ.

The goal is to get your body regulated, better yet, self regulating.

I know! If you remember last year, Candace was played by a different actress, and the change in appearance was explained with the phrase "I decided to try a new look". Ironic, huh?

Dr. Mark should get out his medical books..I think the Fascination Thread knows alot more about medicine than he does..

FWIW - Amyb the lady who posted at KK's about thyroid problems is also at Curlygirl's forum if anyone wants to contact her. She posts there under the same username. She has a son with many, many health problems and has a site on him at caringbridge. I say all this to let you know she could probably use some extra support now if you want to say hi to her. She has a lot going on right now. Btw, I don't know Amyb personally, we've just exchanged some posts at Curlygirl's forum. She seems like a very nice geniune person.

Now, about the new owners, Dr. Mark and our Fitness Guru... The new owners have not come forward to announce who they are as of yet. I can only guess that the reason may be because they do not want their reputations and personal lives ripped apart by the pitbulls. They have said business will operate as normal. We all know that when you put your name out there as a representitive of this site this is what happens. I am sure you have all seen it happening to me. Dr. Mark was kind enough to put his info out there anyways. He has recieved many emails from the hate club and worse they are actually targeting his place of work because their scare tactics did not work and he is still here. I only hope Dr. Mark sees thru these tactics for what they really are. As far as Fitness Guru, I have personally asked him NOT to put his info out there for the same reasons though he is very willing. I can assure you his credentuals are valid as a certified personal triainer. When the haters want to ruin your entire reputation, bother you at your job and do worse remaining private becomes very important. I am sure you can all understand this.
