I am almost 46, married with a grown child. Today is my first day of work (lunch and dinner) as a waitress--my first job in 5 years. Maybe the hustle of serving food will help, lol! I have been lacking in the exercise dept. Hate to admit that...
As I read that post, the theme song from The Jeffersons came to mind . . . "Well, we're movin' on up . . ."

I am NOT knocking waitressing in any way, shape or form!

Seems like such a giant career move and all, within less than a year to go from waitress to Public Relations Director.

/just sayin'

Well Hi Everyone!!

I see you have lots of questions!

I am excited to get started helping wherever I can.

If you have specifics, start a new post!

For those of you new to forums something really great happens over the years. Your posts (yes yours) become part of a fantastic resource for everyone that comes on board. One thing that I will try to do is take post from start to finish.
I dont know everything but if I don't know something I will use the most powerful phrase in the english language.."I Don't Know". I will, however, find out!

I really want to give you all the RIGHT information....not the stuff in all the books. The universal truths about what works generally, and in personal posts, YOUR body.

I look forward to working with you all on your journey.

Hmmmm, He's not big on books. I wonder if he'll be using a Magic 8 Ball?

this is what happens on VLCDs

Per Dr Michael R Eades, MD (yes, MD hehe just had to throw that in)

Quote:
If you go on a calorically-restricted diet for any length of time... your body kicks in and makes you hungry and sooner or later you’re going to give in. At the same time your body will make you tired, sleepy and lazy, and you will conserve as many calories as possible.

When Tippy left (ummm...I mean when she was BANNED!!!), didn't she post at KK that she finally felt free since she had not been supported (yeah, whatever!) here at LCF??? If that is so and she is so sure of the Kimkins plan, then why is she lurking over here?

Hey Tippy. We can see you! Now go away already! Don't you have an ARTICAL to work on or someone to ban or something???

Dr. Mark's answer to Pimp My Diet & constipation

"Re: Dr. Mark - About Constipation 4 Minutes ago
Yes,....Senna does act in a similar way but the magic is in the other ingredients in the formula.

They actually buffer the effects of the senna and provide digestive/intestinal support. The idea is to get moving and minimize any side effects on your organs.

I see the point with the carb restictions......let me dig a little deeper into my bag of tricks to find a few other ideas.

I know of many but I am trying to keep my suggestions
1. Easy to get (pick up locally)
2. Affordable (couldn't we all use an extra dime)
3. Universally tolerable

More later....

Good luck all and I hope everything comes out ok..................................:_blink_: couldn't resist!"

Wheat germ - goes great on yogurt or cottage cheese
Dates or plums (just a few)
Salads and other roughage of course
A fresh apple on empty stomach
Walnuts or almonds

I hope this helps...I am going to write an artical and put it up top for all.

I know it made me giggle, because "If you don't know everything" then just by default we know there are going to be some things you do not know so the added phrase of......
"But if I don't know something" made me feel like he was stressing what he didn't know.
I thought, believe me we have got it!
