A response to Dr? Mark:

Rer. Mark - About Constipation 6 Minutes ago
"I don't think we'll stay in ketosis with apples, dates or plums. Our carb limit is 20 per day. Smooth Move is senna tea like Senakot laxative? Doesn't it work at the same way as commercial laxatives to force a contraction?"

As I mentioned, your goal should be for at least one bowel movement a day.

Let us try to get away from using commercial laxatives if at all possible though.

It is not that they don't work it is what they can contribute to longterm.
Those that stimulate bowel movement by increasing intestinal contraction tend to give you a lazy bowel. This lazy intestine does not like to contract on its own after a while.
Those that make the stool more liquid prevent the absorbtion of those vital minerals and electrolytes I have been talking about. Not that good either.

Either can be a every once in a long while tool but only that, something to get the pipes back on track.

You have all posted with some natural alternatives, I will try to give you a few more.

Teas
- "smooth move" available in most grocery stores works great if taken at night (love that name)
- "California diet tea or slim mate tea" - Any asian grocery has this tea in green boxes...Don't go for the extra strength!
-2 yeaspoons honey with warm water on empty stomach

Food
Wheat germ - goes great on yogurt or cottage cheese
Dates or plums (just a few)
Salads and other roughage of course
A fresh apple on empty stomach
Walnuts or almonds

I hope this helps...I am going to write an artical and put it up top for all.

Dr. Mark"
Wow~ direct contradiction to Kimmer~

Why isn't anyone saying that? It seems to me that if the members were clueless about the controversy, they would innocently ask those questions. Now it just looks like everyone is plugging their ears (lalalalala) and ignoring the issues.

Actually theyre trying like heck to stay away from the Almighty Banner! Many KK members have read the innocent questions only to return to that thread and not only is the innocent question gone..so is the member who posted it. Even the PMs are monitored over there, the Admin made that announcement.

Maybe constipation is more important to Dr. Mark than gout and flabby arms. He has to prioritize - it's very busy over there! Just sayin...

Ok carry on...but honestly L2L, you crack me up so I would never put you on ignore

Awww.... you are sweet !!!!

The only reason I put that there was because....there are people out there with visual problems, and even if we check with "spell check" we can't tell if its right or not.

Typos don't annoy me but Tippy misspells the same words all the time (charactor, avitor, contraversy, artical,...) and obviously never bothered to look them up. I made a "spelling lesson" for her on my blog: mariasol: Tippy Toes Spelling Lesson

Now that Dr. Mark is going to sacrifice himself and go on a diet and keep a journal over there, either 1) he hasn't looked up any of the links that were sent to him regarding Scamkins 2) he has looked them up and doesn't care because now the place is cleaned up.

Last night I was hoping that he would do a little research and leave KK, I was hoping that there was some decency in him and he had just been tricked. He may have been tricked into his position but now it appears he is fully embracing the place. That's shameful! Maybe he has hopes of changing the place into Markins!
