I thought I would try my hand at searching for the woman in the lawn chair. I haven't found Her yet, but does this woman in the bikini look familiar?

Any thoughts??

Just kidding!

One of the consequenses of losing weight many times is a drop in blood pressure and natural insulation

The periphery (hands and feet) can tend to get a little cold when not in use (those darn desk jobs!)

I do not know your workout program or if you are using one but you may want to start.

You muscles to two primary things - provide locomotion and heat.

A simple 15 minutes of muscle training every other day would be sufficient to make a change in your body and muscle mass. Muscle, simply put, burns more calories at rest and keeps you warm.

Now, another way is to go at it from an eastern approach. You can add a few foods that produce heat in the body. This does not mean they are hot to the taste always, it just means that turn up your own furnace..
Cinnamon
Pineapple
Ginger
red or green pepper
black pepper
garlic
shrimp (yes, make him buy you shrimp)
lamb

Just a few ideas.
Dr. Mark

Yum yum! I'm adding pineapple to my kimkins diet!!! I Love Pineapple! Maybe I'll ask if a pinacolada is ok to have too
somebody better teach him about calorie burning efficincy. Fatburning is more efficient then carb burning so we lose that heat waste energy production.

Welcome to all the new folks!

Someone earlier on this thread made the remark that "The kimkins brand was trademarked." (I thought I had hit the multi-quote button, but it appears I didn't, dangit. But the remark was made earlier today on this thread.)

I did a quick search through the TESS system (Trademark Electronic Search System) and didn't find anything for Kimkins.

Trademarks

Official trade and service marks don't just happen overnight. A company has to go through a process, with the approval given by the trademark office after they do an extensive search and approval process. I didn't find any evidence she was approved, or that she had even tried to get approval. I will say I only had time for a quick search, though, so someone else might dig deeper and find something.

So, there's my measly contribution for today.
Oh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who did this. I should have been doing my own research and there I was searching the trademark database. I also came up empty. That said you can use ™ symbol without having a registered trademark. You can also have trademark rights without being registered. (Although any lawyer worth his salt will advise you to register.) What you cannot use if you are not registered and approved is the ®.

So who wants grabby hands coming out the monitor atcha, anyway? Nutritional counselling (let food be your medicine, etc.) is ALL he can do. He must be desperate for cash. And those seminars he's hosting? He better be careful!! Or he'll end up with a PHD - Piled Higher and Deeper in the Doo-Doo dept.

It will be interesting to see how she responds now that Heidi's been outed on the Russian bride business. A lot of what Vandy J posted was before the depth of the deception was really known. I did see her mention at KK a week or so ago that she was going to be out of town and away from KK for 3 or 4 weeks.

Just wanted to voice my appreciation for your ambition in taking on this Wikipedia project! I know it's been a lot of work, and it had to be frustrating to see it all go "poof" and have to re-do it, but it's a very worthwhile project. I appreciate you!
Aww thanks (sorry about my whining a couple of days ago yall). It'll be a good while before it is "Wiki-worthy" given the reference issue, but it's been a good little writing exercise for me.

I hope some others will come out of the woodwork with articles we can use as references. I appreciate all the responses to my pleas for stuff so far (Kimkins plans, articles, etc.).

Oh and thank heavens that while it did go "poof" for awhile, it was restored to me as it was just before the big poof - including edits done after my initial post, which I appreciate. Some others here also got in there and beefed the article up in several ways.

I'll keep yall posted. Keep the article references coming!

Hello everyone. Thank you for all the warm welcomes.

Weight....That is a good question.

My highschool years filled with dozens of triathlons and other competitive sports saw me with too little weight. - 6'3 165lbs.

Not a pretty sight.

Years in the Army and Bodybuilding (strickly for fun and to correct postural problems) led me to 220lbs. - Lookin good..

The past 10 years have been interesting.

I have stayed between 190 and 200 lbs but WHAT A DIFFERENCE BODYFAT MAKES.

A few years back, during a bad relationship I was 200lbs, Bodyfat in the high 20%'s and looked AWFUL. If I can resurrect a pic I will post it.

For the past two years I have stayed active. Adheared to a not so strick high protein diet, and dropped bodyfat steadily. Only core exercises at home.

Basically, I feel I have to walk the walk to talk the talk. I stay fit, take my supplements, balance my life, and try to fill it with love.

Today 6'3 200lbs Probably around 14-16% bodyfat.

Here is what I will do. I will take a few before pictures. Measure and Weigh. Get Bodyfat %. And Set a goal.

You guys are working and so will I !

I am going to shoot for around 11% bodyfat and specific girth increases or decreases.

I want you to take something from this story though.....This is a journey AND a destination. I have kept my body goals in site through my entire life. Life comes at you really fast sometimes and it is all you can do to keep up. It isn't all or nothing, it is a process. Enjoy it along the way and know the day will come when you have arrived at that goal. You will be no different the day after that. Surround yourself with the people and experiences that matter today and everyday.
