Fiendish overlords (hideous, monstrous beasts with deceptively charming names . . . like “Tippy Toes” and “Singing Lass”) roamed the streets, eager to pounce on unsuspecting travelers and delete them with a single blow. I huddled in the darkness of my cave, shivering and alone. And then I heard it . . . one solitary voice calling out for truth, for justice, for answers. From my dark cave I saw her . . . a solitary figure, struggling against the raging storm. I ventured out ~ slowly, slowly. As I drew closer to her, I recognized her . . it was Wyatt’s Momma. Just then, the storm’s fury engulfed us. I reached out my hand, trying to grab onto her, but were were both tossed and battered by the destructive forces around us. And then I saw it out of the corner of my eye . . a looming, hulking, shadowy figure. Before I could raise my arm in protest ~ *poof* ~ Wyatt’s Momma was gone.

Battered, bruised, shivering and weak from malnutrition . . . I see him in the distance . . . a healer, a helper, a medicine man. I stumble, I crawl, I finally reach him and tug at the bottom of his surgical scrubs.

Reaching down in compassion ~ he hands me . . . Gatorade.

This is very true! I was hospitalized with food poisoning after having fever and diarrhea for two days. They scrambled after they got my potassium level. I was one point away from death.

It is hard to keep up.
My poor family is desperate for attention, but this thread is so addictive.

I just want to ask if Wyatt's Momma is out there somewhere . . . I am sure she was banned, and I am hoping she found her way into a safe harbor.

Also, I would love to get in touch with ex-Kimpatriots from Indy, but the contact info was in my pm mailbox at kimmervania, and I am banned ~ locked out ~ tossed to the curb ~ thrown aside like yesterday's garbage ~ abandoned ~ pushed aside ~ banished from the queendom.

The key with fibromyalgia is to keep moving. Stretching and moving lymphatic fluid (drainage) throughout your body.

The other key is sleep. Do whatever you can to make your sleep as productive as possible.
Hints:
Regular sleep and wake times +/- 30 minutes
No Caffiene in the afternoon
Dark, Dark Room

With fibro your body essentially does not reach the fourth stage of sleep...the stage where most growth and repair goes on. If it does, it bumps out of it very quickly leaving you feeling like crap in the AM no matter how many hours you got.

Anything that moves _meta_bolic wastes and helps you recover quicker will improved symptoms. Sorry you have to work through the pain but that is the path to freedom from it.

Good luck and stay strong.

The others are right as well, weighing less will help your journey in the long run.

Dr. Mark"

I'm sorry but I've seen this other kind of speech in his other posts. Methinks Tippy should use a grammar checker as well as the spell checker when she posts.
So that is the key to Fibromyalgia, huh? Good thing I now know. To think of all the different facets I've had to employ with fibro sufferers to get them out of pain and all it takes is sleep and stretching.

Looks like they have yet another winner over there.

I'm still here. Okay, new friends, this is not funny! :0 I do need help here. Baby steps and Preschool-Simple, I guess, and I won't be insulted in the least. Dear, dear, just hold my hand, and help me get this. Seriously, I have looked everywhere possible for the "smile" icon that you said and cannot find it at all, much less any paperclip icon or symbol.

I have the message box here showing (that I am typing in now) as another helpful suggestion that was offered, but there is nothing to be found about attachments at "the bottom of the box" whatsoever!. Since I am new today (and regarding details of a previous post, interestingly, at this moment my "last visit" does STILL show that same 6:31 a.m. viewing, despite that I was NOT even a member at that time, as I browsed in and signed up hours later, and have posted several times since then!)

I wonder if I don't have availability, or access, to post photos (can a senior member of the forum address this?) until after the initial 48 hours mentioned in my welcome e-mail.

Or another thought is that my server is limited? That I doubt, since spouse does a lot of high-tech business from here. Anybody still there, a kind and patient soul? I just hate to be any nuisance, so I don't mind a bit if you ignore this post. Just sincerely wanted to show these pix. Am I overlooking something?

Ok lets see if this helps

Step one click on the paperclip to the right of the smiley face as seen here

step 1.jpg

Then at the top of the window that pops up it says 'upload file from your computer' as seen below
step 2.jpg

upload the images you want to use in your post, then you go back to the paperclip and use the pulldown arrow next to it, and choose an image to insert, make sure your cursor is at the point in the post you want to insert the image you've uploaded

Make sense???

Asking to have my journal removed got me banned as well. My reason said "member complaints"!

A bunch of people are reporting being banned today. They are on a roll. Many people have been asking about the post notifications they received this weekend in their inbox with the links to Lesya. That's gotten them banned.

What? Needles through the monitor? In effect, the ONLY thing Dr. Mark can actually do is give a VERY general response to very specific questions on herbalism. He can't do acupuncture, hands on "diagnoses", massages or anything else he's trained for. IOW, all he can do is offer suggestions - and that can still get him in trouble!
OTOH, if Heidi is still pulling the strings, it won't take much detective work by the authorities to discover this. We'll simply keep track and sooner or later something worthwhile will surface.

(I'm still on page 10 so forgive me).

I can't see how Dr Mark can be anyone other than an outsider. There is no way in heck that anyone who has an inkling of understanding of what kimkins (or any low carb diet for that matter) would EVER recommend sugar laden gatorade.

Very under researched person if you ask me. And that in itself should scare people off his advice even more.

Whew! As usual, I've been trying to catch up with what's going on here while trying to actually do some paying work.

Welcome to all the new folks!

Someone earlier on this thread made the remark that "The kimkins brand was trademarked." (I thought I had hit the multi-quote button, but it appears I didn't, dangit. But the remark was made earlier today on this thread.)

I did a quick search through the TESS system (Trademark Electronic Search System) and didn't find anything for Kimkins.

Trademarks

Official trade and service marks don't just happen overnight. A company has to go through a process, with the approval given by the trademark office after they do an extensive search and approval process. I didn't find any evidence she was approved, or that she had even tried to get approval. I will say I only had time for a quick search, though, so someone else might dig deeper and find something.

So, there's my measly contribution for today.

It's cut down the frequency and severity of my migraines. I rarely get one and when I do, it's been easily controlled by caffiene. Quite a change from getting admitted to the hospital because I'm in so much pain.

MigraSpray
I don't have them very often, but I did stumble across a homeopathic product from Hyland's, "Migraine Headache Relief" tabs that really work for me when I do have them.

The issue is going to be finding primary sources for references. They won't allow publication of "original research" and we have to have some citations to either newspapers or books. I imagine it's just a matter of time before this hits a newspaper somewhere. In the meantime, I will continue to shape it up & use the citations we do have.

Woman's World doesn't really impress them :-) But if anyone has the article scanned & could get to me (be sure page #'s are visible & cover showing date along with article), I can use that as one citation. A reference to People would help some, I think, so same with that if anyone has a copy they can scan & send me. The most credible references are to About.com and the KTLA coverage, and those will be included as well. Those alone satisfied several of the Wikipedia admins the first time around, and a couple of them have let me know they'll support the new shaped-up article when it's ready.

Does anybody know of any other print articles on Kimkins?

Any print journalists in the house??
Just wanted to voice my appreciation for your ambition in taking on this Wikipedia project! I know it's been a lot of work, and it had to be frustrating to see it all go "poof" and have to re-do it, but it's a very worthwhile project. I appreciate you!

MIGRAINE sufferers.

If you have constant and debilitating migraines google "Samantha Perkins"+Migraine.

She was on 60 minutes a while ago after having electrical stimulation therapy. She used to be hospitalised for her migraines they were so bad.

For anyone that cares, she is a plus size model here in Australia, and is more notable for having married one of our swimming superstars.

Sorry for threadjack but there were too many of you discussing it for me to identify and PM you all.
