[quote=Magicsmom;9321605]Oh, please don't get me wrong. and I am not and never would make fun of how someone looks. In fact, I would never in any way, shape or form have the nerve to wear such a swim suit, be photographed in it, and post it on the internet. What I have laughed at, however, is her conceit and utter failure to see what she really looked like. She had just gotten back from the pig roast bragging about being the thinnest person there, and then posted these pics to get our sympathy because her husband told her she was too fat to be in public dressed like that. The part that amused me was that he was right and she didn't even know it. As for her post and ideas being sincere - yeah they were sincerely narcissistic.

Well it sounds like Tippy and Kimmer are so much alike if Kimmer thinks she is in her 20's, wearing a size 4 and could be that lady in red.

To tell her that she's just making excuses and to find a new Dr. is the most irresponsible thing I have seen lately.

My mother is a dialysis patient. Her dr's recommended diet is so limited that it's pitiful. 3 oz protein maximum per day, no beans, no tomatos, no taters, etc. (I'm sure I'm forgeting many things). Basically low protein, low acid foods, minimal liquids. Nothing that would work with any KK plan no matter how "tweaked."

Idiots..... Grrrrrrrrr
And, let not forget there's a disclaimer on the site that says this:
Quote:

Please consult your health care provider before starting this or any diet. Kimkins is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, nursing, or with impaired kidney function.
So, why are they giving her a hard time? Why don't they just give her back her money and stop contradicting themselves?

Ya know, TT when preparing a letter to rebut information, you should really do a grammar and spell check. It is different from a quick reply on a message board. Take time to make a good impression with format even if you can't convince them with fake ""facts.

Just trying to help ya. God bless your heart.

I've filed my 5th request for a refund of my $29.95 but I doubt that will go anywhere. Paypal already turned me down so I'm probably SOL on the money.

Now, where do I get a badge?

I'm not even finished reading this, and I have to ask what this word means:

con-traversal (exact cut/paste from the article)

And I'm surprised she didn't send her own picture to be posted with the article...maybe she did and they passed on it.

Hi everyone! My name is DeLynn...long time lurker, new poster on LCF. I came over from the KK site as well.

I have to comment on this because I am a Certified Nephrology Nurse. No one other than a nephrologist should be giving a CKD (chronic kidney disease) stage 2 patient nutrition advice, since the nephrologist has the best understanding of the origin and pathophysiology of the specific patient's renal disease. I cannot believe that anyone over there would try to give this person advice...well actually, with all that's happened, I guess I can. How irresponsible!!!!

Also, I am thinking that Dr. Mark is the long lost cousin of Dr. Nick (Hello, everybody!).

Anyway, I just thought I would pop in from lurkdom to contribute to a topic I know a little about. Keep up the good work with the investigation!! You are all awesome!

In addition to those... I went to Atkins website and used the "contact us" and asked if they were affiliated with Kimkins since it's supposedly "based on Atkins" and is using a title that's a play on the Atkins name. I suggested they look into "trademark manipulation". The reply I received included this statement: We are in no way affiliated with this scam. We are in the process of investigating this matter and appreciate your concern." I personally realize that Kimkins isn't Atkins and that Atkins response to me is a blanket response. But Atkins has deep pockets. I figured if they get enough emails about it, they may start issuing formal statements discrediting the Kimkins diet and disassociating themselves from it to protect their public image (which I think they should do!).
