Why the fascination with Kimmer? #6

I really want to know why my posts was deleted from the KK site. I don't think it's mean spirited or derogatory, just factual. I guess you can post bullshit there, but not the truth or a reasonable opinion.

Since my other reply was deleted, I thought I"d repost in essence here. When a company or individual makes claims in order to sell, distribute, or otherwise those claims must be factual. In this case, pictures of the women in the success stories were taken from various russian and jewish dating sites, that is a fact. Unfortunately this provides for some questions on the credibility of "Kimmer" since many people bought the membership based in part on the representation that several people had lost weight and their "success story" was presented as proof of that weight loss. The owner of the site at that time was "Kimmer" and as such she had a legal and moral responsibility to provide and honest and truthful account of the claims that were made on her site. While you are correct in your example of C&C Music and the song, please recall the aftermath of that case. It did not settle, those involved and injured by the case did not say "Well, everyone is doing it" there was a legal outcome and that outcome was that royalties were provided to those injured by the matter. It doesn't change the fact that it was a great song, but also remember that C&C was a one hit wonder due to the false claim that the tall, thin beautiful woman was singing, and not the fat, beautiful woman with the amazing voice. My guess is that Kimkins will go down like Milli Vanilli.

Yes, I did find them, but I think GoLite was able to free the member that we were holding down and forcing to read the thread.
At least she set her free so I think that was what was going on. I couldn't see well because I was looking for my pack of Huggies that were being sent my way and we trying to decide what type of trail we would leave for others to follow over to the other board while LCF was down.

I am so confused on how to eat this way and had been so scared on eating too much. I do feel like I have been brain washed to kimmers way of thinking. I need some guidance here. I would like to know how to do low carb the correct way to see results and be healthy. How can a person like Kimmer live with herself? Does she not have a soul? I would never intentionally hurt anyone, & and it makes me ill to know she has affected peoples health and thinks OH WELL.... I am having a hard time with this. Please tell me I am not the only one here who is in shock over this?

I also think you're right that a business does get to decide how they run their website. I'd like to point out, though, that my pass was far from free. It cost me $59.95. When you pay to join a website and the TOS they have in place is followed and you lose that membership then it isn't just and fair treatment and you have the right to complain. TOS changed several times at KK without notice to it's members. Because I had witnessed several bannings and many deletions of posts, I posted asking how to post within TOS so I could voice my concerns and state the questions I had about health issues so I wouldn't lose my membership. I was banned for those posts and because Kimmer/Heidi didn't like that I had a duck as an avatar, an avatar choice supplied by the site itself. I never received a warning, I never received notice, I never even got a response to any of my several emails asking why I was banned, or the email I sent asking for a refund.

Then, there's the issue of what I paid for. I paid $60 for a lifetime membership that was to include a diet created by a woman who had lost nearly 200 pounds and maintained that loss for years. It was a diet they claimed was fast, safe and healthy. I paid for support forums, chat, one on one with the founder of the diet/site. I did not pay to join a site that misrepresented itself with fraudulent success stories, fraudulent pictures, created by a woman who wasn't what or who she claimed to be, toting a diet that carries health risks I was never warned about.

The deletions on KK are not being done to protect it's members. They are being done to protect the business and it's creator. If the members mattered there then the members would be allowed to state their concerns for both health issues and the controversy in a mature, respectful way and get some answers. That is not happening. Paying for a membership to a site should entitle you to being treated fairly, as far as TOS is concerned at least. The only difference between those that remain and those that are banned is that those banned dared to ask.

It isn't mean or derogatory. You were only asking a question. But on the KK website, you can't ask legitimate questions without your post and membership going poof.

I missed the BuzzyBee find last night by about an hour, then I found out from another site that the Red Dress Lady had been found...only to come here and the boards were down all day! I was freaking out! Also, I left a Russian Brides site up on my laptop yesterday afternoon and my husband went to use it and was like "uh, why are you on this site"? LOL! He has been following all of this with me but I hadn't told him about that part yet. Too funny.

Anyway - a heartfelt thanks to all again. I'm still trying to figure all of this eating stuff out for myself and Kimkins was tempting to me this spring. I *almost* joined but after reading the details here, decided I could not do low fat/low carb/really low cal as suggested by Kimmer.

You gals are amazing! I hope you know you are saving lives, really.

Over at Kimkins, people have been banned for what they put in PRIVATE MESSAGES--let me repeat, PRIVATE MESSAGES being read by admins over there and used to ban folks. Some were summarily banned without warning for just posting something here (not even a rant, just anything). Some have said, "Hey, I didn't even post at KK or LCF about this hoopla, and I got banned. I don't understand!"

At KK, the desire to squelch any sort of real conversation on the FRAUD and one-sided banning has been overzealous, to put a mild descriptor on it.

No one here asked people to pay $60 for a plan based on fraudulent claims by the founder, supported by fraudulent success stories on its splash page and newsletters, and maintained by medical/scientific lies regarding certain metabolic disasters awaiting certain persons doing VLCDieting.

In other words, yes, WE ARE THE GOOD GUYS and, yes, THE LEADERSHIP AT KIMKINS ARE THE BADDIES. And I say it without hesitation. And those who know lies and fraudulent acts have been perpetrated and still keep up the, "We're wonderful, let's just keep going and ignore all that" are part of the Baddie's Brigade, too. Bad guys can't keep going without support.

Do the good guys act 100% diplomatically and tactfully and restrained all the time. No. Good thing, too, or me and my family might still be relegated to second class citizenry and not allowed to eat at all restaurants and enter all hotels. Good thing sometimes good people use harsh terms and raise a mighty stink. In this case, the mighty stink being raised is to keep folks from supporting a con artist and promoting a dangerous WOE.
