Double standard.
I've been following these threads off and on since the first one -- just shaking my head at the hypocrisy.

If there's a double standard on the KK board, and a double standard here at LCF, then do they cancel each other out, or is it a quad standard?

I don't think those of you involved in this "crusade" realize the nasty things that have been said, and allowed to remain, here on this board. I don't know if it's because the mods can't keep up and don't read each message, or if the messages aren't being reported, or if they *are* being seen and action simply isn't being taken on them -- and I really don't care -- but the fact remains that *any* business is entitled to run their website as they see fit, not just LCF.

Seems to me there are plenty of free passes floating around out there -- depending on which side you're on.

And please -- no heartfelt "but we're the good guys so it's okay" rants. I've already seen those in response to anyone else who disagrees with the "pack."

This 'cwarren' was going hell for leather last night after seen, with foul language, I might say. She was so upset the site might not be there the next day, like her life actually depended on it. I posted something but it was deleted.

I'll accept that and also admit that you are probably right, but thank goodness this is America and we can say what we want, although we might have to accept some consequences for what we say. Just remember though, that this is a free board and maybe we will get away with saying something and maybe we won't, but most of the time we'll probably take the risk. KK isn't free, so the consequences of being banned over there mean a loss of your lifetime membership.

Also, remember that this particular thread is purely optional to visit and anyone is free to exercise their option not to visit at any time, especially if they might be easily offended. And here is my half-hearted "I think we may be the good guys" rant.

Umm guys.. anyone who's referencing kimkins pictures.. and relying that they will remain on any of those web archive sites. don't.

Notice the flash file above that I posted. I took that link directly from the web archive webpage. But notice it references a file located on Kimkins. This basically means that if the entire kimkins site folded, or things were deleted, anything referencing these images are gone. Looks like web archive only probably archives the text, not the entire content. Which makes sense when you think about how large a text file is -v- images.

Recommend screenshots and then saving the actual photos somewhere on your computer (right click save picture as).

ETA - this is the link i'm talking about http://www.kimkins.com/images/storie...eanimation.swf

I had blood work done because of heart palpations which I thought was due to my thyroid. I fell off the diet due to immense hunger. I could not understand why everyone said they weren't hungry and when I would lower my calorie to 300-400 a day like some said would even make you less hungry..... I could only take it for so long. DUH... I am the kind of person who is honest and I guess I trust people. I would of NEVER of thougth kimmer to be a fraud in a million years. It makes me nervous about trusting anyone and I love the support on a bb. I am to the point I don't even know how to low carb. I am so confused on how to eat this way and had been so scared on eating too much. I do feel like I have been brain washed to kimmers way of thinking. I need some guidance here. I would like to know how to do low carb the correct way to see results and be healthy. How can a person like Kimmer live with herself? Does she not have a soul? I would never intentionally hurt anyone, & and it makes me ill to know she has affected peoples health and thinks OH WELL.... I am having a hard time with this. Please tell me I am not the only one here who is in shock over this?
Don't feel alone. Many of us here going through the same thing.

Marcia I remember the name Marshmallow from over there. Glad you're here and feeling free enough to share.

to BuzzyBee for finding the Red Dress Lady. That was awesome! I was hoping to be the one, but oh, well... I did get to use the pictures!

Thanks to everyone for the congrats tonight. It was quite exhilarating. Feels a little weird, though, since they let me back in! They just may regret that!

OK, I think I'm missing someone I was going to say something to, but it's late here and I'm super tired. Had a busy day. Hehehe

Oh, btw, that cwarren was the one who posted about being spammed again. I was posting so fast I didn't see who it was, but saw it on my screen shots tonight.

Well, I'm sure I'll have lots to catch up on tomorrow. What am I saying? I still haven't finished 3, 4, and 5 and I was wayyyyy back there on this one!

ohh speaking of screenshots. I use a very dandy tool that allows you to screen shot an entire webapge.

What I mean by this is the normal CTRL+PRTSCRN only screenshots what you can currently see on screen. The tool I use will actually scroll down the entire page and capture everything.

PM me if you want more info.

The US Immigration Dept today issued a statement on the recent surge in popularity of Eastern European Block citizens looking for love websites.

In its daily target report from the ISP International Network, there was approximately a 5995% increase in traffic flow to the websites over the last 2 days. Keen to understand the recent demand to visit the lovelorn, Rooters went through the history of visitors through IP research and managed to track down one of the original US trawlers to a location in Corona CA. Suprisingly, whilst the sites visited were mostly looking for husbands (of the male persuasion - some adams apples were debateable) the person we managed to contact was in actual fact female. Here's what she had to say:

"with a quack quack here and a quack quack there, here a quack, there a quack, everywhere a quack quack"

We seeked comment from more recent visitors to the sites for their input on the recent surge in popularity. For some bizzarre reason they all seemed incredibly excited and it was rather hard to decipher but here's snippets of what some of them had to say.

Liar, Liar stretch pants on fire

I WAS ROBBED MOB STYLE BY A RUSSIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn, if that red dressed Russian doesn't end up with a husband after all this publicity I will be darn shocked!

THE DUCK HAS STRUCK!!!

IF THE RED DRESS DOESN'T FIT THEY CAN'T ACQUIT!!!

YOU'RE NOT BLIND LIKE BAMBI ARE YOU????????

One person was seen running around with their undies pulled over their head shouting "Huggieeesssssssssssssssssssssssss (are diapers)"

Keen to get the inside story, Rooters seeked a comment from one of the most visited russian bride web sites, a woman better known as "the Kimmer" - Я плевать на вас kimmer и все ложь вы решили рассказать тюрьме будет очень SNATTY место!

The Dept was keen to issue a warning to any US citizens to be aware of possible scam artists. However investigation into the SNATT, Rooters is confused as to exactly which website they refer to.

(bolding is mine)
No Hypocrisy in what the original member posted, but a different situation totally.
You will not get a good guy rant from me, because the issue you are discussing in you post is not based on who is good or evil its roots are based on what is right and legal.
I didn't pay for a membership here and I did at Kimkins. Therefore, I don't think it is a fair comparison to compare LCF to Kimkins in that respect.

When I pay for a product, much like the kimkin's membership, I expect to get the same product as the next person.
Would you like to purchase a pound of hamburger but be given sausage and when you complain you are told well only certain people are given hamburger or what they pay for and you can't have a pound of hamburger or your money back? Then to top it all off you can’t come back into the store anymore as well.

I didn't pay for my right to say words on this board and neither did you. But you are allowed to post and disagree in a manner that is not allowed on kimkins for all members. You may not like their response that those that disagree were given by the "pack" but the real fact is that they were allowed to post it and it remained as well as they remained as members here at LCF.

At kimkins ONLY those on one side of the debate are allowed to say what they feel. I did pay for my rights to say words on Kimkin's board that were within the TOS guidelines. My rights were taken away without a refund but the others that remain still are able to have their say because their words are what the site wants to promote. Even though we both paid for hamburger I got sausage!
