Those who have done Kimkins, PLEASE see your doctor!

And PLEASE be honest with them. Tell them exactly what you had been doing (Don't white wash it). Tell them how low the calories were, exactly what you ate and any symptoms that you might be having. Even if you don't "Think" you have any symptoms, you need to be checked out. So many people are coming out who thought they were "Fine" and found out that they have major health problems now.

PLEASE Don't be and stay in denial. This is about your health. This diet can do an awful number on your body. Your doctor needs to be your partner so tell them EVERYTHING. This diet can drastically effect your health and you need to get "checked out". Heart problems, Hormone problems, Thyroid etc... Your Body has been malnurished and You need the advice of a professional to get your health back and heal up.

PLEASE, be honest with yourself, then be honest with your Doctor and tell them everything. Get yourself "checked out" to begin your Healing.

Denial is what Kept Kimmer going and people believing her. Don't be in deinal over your health. Please see your Doctor!

yep great post

just cause you feel fine right now does not mean you didn't do any damage. it is the cummulative effect of the microscopic damage we do to our blood vessels nerves and organs being deficient in vits minerals, EFAs, fats and proteins along with blood sugar issues that cause the thyroid, heart, kidney, and lung damage that shows up in a few months or yrs. If your doc blows you off with just basic blood work and says you are fine tell then no you aren't and you'd like them to look at your nutrition again.
the longer you did kimkins the more fixing you will need. Sheir did a great Q and A about healing metabolisms and don't panic if your scale moves the wrong way as your body adjusts to being feed nutritonally again. It isn't body fat you are adding back it will level off and start going back down again.

happy low carbing

Good advice.

I had only heard of Kimkins last year, but never paid attention to it until today. And that's only because I saw some "kimmer" threads here and wanted to research it again. It's amazing all the info I found out and how it's changed in such a short time. Good luck to any of you experiencing problems with your health from this diet.

Absolutely..Thanks for starting this thread, Tooter. You may think you weren't starving or hurting your body when you were eating less than 800 calories a day, but you won't know that until you have yourself checked out!!!
