The weight loss gurus make millions telling you that you will go into starvation mode if you drop a single cal below what they tell you. That's bullshit.

Throw the damn scale away and use the mirror, your clothes, and a tape measure as your weight loss bible. By the way I weighed at the doctors office the other day and their scale was off. I reset it for them but the nurse told me, " We drag that thing all over the office everyday so it's not our fault" . I started to go into a dialogue about what if it meant the difference between life and death but I was late for my testosterone shot. God I love those shots.

OMG! Is this some kind of insanity or what?

What gets me is the replys - "Oh, thanks for summing it up, I really needed a kick in the pants!" or "Wow, I really feel like more of an adult making my own choices after reading your post".

Step away from the koolaid people!!!

We are renovating the front page. We needed more space on the top menu bar so some elements were removed. Success stories are still there in photo form on the right side and expanded to show 5 at a time. We'll be adding 3 new success stories this week!

The naysayers would love for me to chat on ... so I won't. We've got some new support resources for members coming up, too! Keep an eye out!

OK....so that should make it a little more clear to someone else just reading the responses to a "new Innocent" poster that they come with a lot of baggage themselves. That when many of us may question them it is based on comments they left on Kimkins or the night before that got deleted!

I picked this up on Thread #4 and was unable to attribute the quote because there was no quote button. Anyway, we automatically assume KK posters who retain their membership and jump over here to ask "pertinent" questions are doing it to stir the pot. So what if they are, Bless their hearts? We consider ourselves the mature, caring and kind people who would like to rescue them. Biting their heads off, nitpicking and sundry unfriendly actions give them ammunition and divert from our purpose here. What you can, ignore. What you can't , respond in a brief non-emotional manner. It may just be that they have abrasive personalities further sharpened by their Kimmer experiences; so they may be testing us before jumping in. And if they're moles, bless their hearts, they won't be able to find dirt to dig. Let's go back to being Low Carb FRIENDS at all times, Bless our hearts.

BTW, I'm a terrific speller and those errors (apart from Yankee spelling) are like fingernails on a blackboard to me. I am, however, the world's worst 2-finger typist, especially when the lighting is poor. So I grit my teeth and ignore it because I've nothing useful to say.
