I didn't remember him as part of the article until I read it again tonight. He has a website that shows his low-carb diet has been featured in 3 or 4 different magazines. Dr Pascatore seems to be agreeing with all Kimmers quotes about Kimkins diet, even the low fat stuff. I don't know if the Hamptons diet is also low-carb and low-fat or not. I will check his site out tomorrow. Yeln

And, I haven't seen this mentioned yet. But, there are organizations that keep track of the pro-anorexia sites that pop up. They immediately work to shut them down. I do believe that Kimkins encourages anorexic behavior so that may be the quickest route to closing down the site. Just a thought...

back to lurking....

for me:

1. How have you transitioned off of the diet?

I had/have a very hard time uping my cals...I still am only eating one meal a day and not following any food plan as of yet...I'm still trying to get my head around some form of eating plan. I know I will probably go back to Atkins, but so far...I just can't seem to get into that 3 meals a day thing yet.

2. How is your body responding to the transition?

I gained some at first but was able to lose it and I am now maintaining what I lost.

3. Are you able to lose weight? maintain?

Is he supporting it or did WW just put his info because it was "realted" to the article they were currently displaying?

Mrsmenopausal, thanks for the welcome!

I look forward to seeing you all receive justice & to Heidi/Kimmer receiving her "just desserts"! Is that allowed on Kimkins??

I don't have much to contribute except support, since I'm not a "Survivor" of the Kimkins trap. I will however, be here to keep cheering you all on!

I am off to find a thread to make my home as I undertake this weight loss journey again.

All my best to you all! You are one terrific bunch of ducks!

Hi Duckfeathers glad to see you stuck around!
I'm torn on that one. (JC=Jesus Christ)
Melt is the one who said JC hanging on a cross or on a cracker...something.

Then wonder woman kimmer said JC on a popsicle or a pogo stick....
So they both apparently believe in JC and feel lik JC is active and gets around.

SO they do speak the same lingo at times. Although wonder woman/Kimmer does more specific bashing relating to her situation.
Where Melt is angry at the world!!

ETA- The difference could be dependent on an unknown variable...oh who are we kidding the x=Captain Morgan!

[quote=DuckFeathers;9271865]Re:I FEEL HARRASSED BY MELT
i did not sign up for people to delete every word I say, and I haven't even made any negative comments about the plan. I also didn't sign up to read Melt's BS posts - Melt is all about bashing people who dare to use their brains for one second. I did not sign up for a cult in which members get banned for asking questions. You get banned if you ask Kimmer for a recent picture, but you can spread your BS as much as you want to and you can offend people as long as it's in defense of the plan.

/QUOTE]

I can't wait to hear what the response to that post is. Think it will be responded to or just end in a ban for the poster? I guess time will tell.

1. Transition is still a work in progress. But I have increased my calories and fat grams.
2. My hair has stopped falling out. No more dizziness, lightheadedness or "snattiness." So far I have not gained any weight back.
3. I'm really not trying to lose weight at the moment. I'm just trying to let goal of the destructive thinking kimkins instilled in my head. Luckily I am maintaining at the moment.

Dr Pascatore is actually supporting the Kimkins diet in the WW article, quote "Low Carb expert Dr Fred Pascatore, M.D., author of The Hampton's Diet, also notes that Kimkins steers dieters away from high-calorie low-carb foods " etc. "Like Atkins, Kimkins forces the body to turn stored fat into a fuel normally made from carbs, says Dr Pescatore." What are you eating? Have you upped your fats? Are you still in ketosis and not hungry? Or, is it the mindset of not eating that is hard to shake? Or, both?

Lots 'o questions....

I am not sure. A while back all the tv shows were focused on the Pro-Ana websites. I saw it on Oprah and somewhere else maybe Dateline or 20/20. Anyway, They work all day every day closing down these sites just to have another one pop up. Going to google...

She had me fooled, too.

But dont be afraid of her or of the truth: do your OWN research and make your OWN decision.

Read THIS.

Then read Beckys Blog.

Read The Truth.

Read about low fat diets.

Heres what I saw when I did:

1. She lies to us AND TO HER ADMINS regularly.

2. She cant produce evidence of her weight loss (the reason we all believed her) or of her claims about Kimkins. Her success NEVER happened.

3. She denies it, but this plan hurts people
GOOD FOR THEM!! I wish I had had a chance to make some kind of difference before I left. Opened up some eyes. Dammit!

I kind of remember her posting that now. Can we say "out of touch with reality"?
Wheh! Talk about delusional. I wondered about her family saying she was on disability with mental illness and didn't quite believe it but now...I believe already!

Guess disability people may have a problem with the millions she made scamming us. I don't understand admins working (slaving in some cases) for her for peanuts and she was raking it in...
