hahaha...thanks stardust, lol.... I was just going to post that. Do you guys think I'd admit to that here anyway? I've made one fool of myself this year and don't plan on doing it again, lol. But I appreciate all the advice. Sure hope it is nothing for that poster over there other than something usuall and not the diet.

Goodness I'm an emotional wreck reading these posts that are hitting home. I'm 33 but have been doing the same thing (not due to weight, but other stuff I'm insecure about). I was particularly interested in this girl and what she said at one time because she had a family name so she stood out to me. I at one time in chat a long time ago tried to ask her about her name and she immediately dissapeard. It was weird and all I wanted to know was if she was some how related. lol...So I have always noticed her name. This was her response in a thread there they were upset over Christin "changing her mind" after she had lost all the weight. No clue! Kind sad.

Before I was diagnosed Hypothyroid, I had sudden unexplained nosebleeds. No warning, just blood pouring out of my nose. It was caused by high blood pressure, one of the many symptoms of thyroid problems. As soon as the meds starting taking effect for my thyroid, the nosebleeds stopped, and my blood pressure returned to normal.

Has anyone else been bothered by nosebleeds? I've never had them in my life, but keep having them. I'm trying to isolate what may be causing them since it isn't what I first thought it might be. I can't imagine what would cause it on the diet, unless I'm missing some vitamin or mineral

Speaking of chocolate..I bought some chocolate flavored Stevita at Netrition..I don't usually like Stevia, but this stuff is really good. 2 tsps and you can make chocolate milk/hot chocolate, etc..It's my new find! That was a commercial break for Netrition..

Remember Fluffy? I wonder where she is..

Another cause of nosebleeds can be a low platelet count. I had a 2 hour long nosebleed one day when I was 18, went to the ear nose and throat specialist because we thought I just needed it cauterized. I had red spots pop up all over my face and in my throat so he ordered an immediate CBC(his office was at the hospital) and they found out my platelet count was 5,000. Normal is at least 100,000. I spent a week in the hospital because of it.

Hopefully someone talks this girl into seeing her dr to find out exactly what is going on. It could be something very minor but also something very serious.

Excuse me but the poster must also consider that they are stating that Kimmer is stupid and not "half pie smart" as well....or is that a twinkie short in a bakers dozen or whatever....just insert pastry of one's choice.

But the members that were doing the low calories got this "stupid" thinking from the founder of the diet and her claimed success.
The reasoning that Kimmer gives over and over again of why the 500 calories a day is due to the excess body fat. It actually makes sense at the time. Here it is from a newsletter that Kimkins generated-

Well meaning folks sometimes delude themselves into thinking they need that tired "1200 calorie minimum" to avoid starvation mode when dieting.

Of course this is ridiculous.

If you have excess body fat you've got literally thousands of calories of "food" waiting to be used. Want a number? Figure your body fat in pounds, multiply by 3500 and that's how much "food" you've got on hand.

Let's say 50 lbs to lose, x 3500 = 175,000 "food" calories just hanging there. Does the huge number make you whoozy?

The entire purpose of gastric surgery for obese people is to force their daily calorie limit to 500 for months (maybe years for super morbidly obese)!

Won't you be hungry? Not on the Kimkins diet. We've got ketosis and the Domino Effect hard at work! Read our "What Kimkins Members Say" (bottom of the page) and notice how many post about losing their appetite. Magic?

When people "Ask Kimmer" about very low calorie diets, they usually wonder if their bodies will "stop losing" due to starvation mode. Absolutely not. Why? Because your body will always need more than 500-1000 calories to sustain whatever weight you're at.

Then I saw SingingLass's sticky about the new moderators and no one was on them I knew. Littlebit, Christin, and about 5 others are poof gone.. Wassup? I am not on often or for long but clearly something is up?
