Just my opinion, not that it matters.

Plant or not, I would not voice my suspicions here ... just in case. Other than that, I agree with your assessment of how a proper plant should work his/her way in. But what a brutal way to treat the poor newbies and others on that site. That's why I think Melt just might be for real.

I've been reading through all 4 looooong threads. Wow. I'm thrilled to see her finally called out with evidence. I've been here long enough to have witnessed the kimmer takeover of the ML. It's unfortunate that most of her true nastiness ended up deleted. There were some doozy threads!

Got to admit she can be persuasive. Even in the midst of wanting to throw something at the computer sometimes becuase she was so full of it, I'd be thinking "Well, a week couldn't hurt, I could loose 7-10 pounds..." Heck, I still catch myself thinking that sometimes... This woman is dangerous.

And let's not forget, smarter, more physically-fit, and sexier than all the other Kimkins dieters, having slam-dunked it in no time at all hitting goal in record time with no cheats, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound on her 40 mile marathons after she swims 3 miles.

Oh yeah, and more sarcastic, snarkier, nastier and more sinister sounding than 99.99% of Kimkins members too except for Hidey herself.

I still think it's awfully coincidental that she shares so many physical stats with Hidey's pretend persona on this site as well as Kimkins. Height, weight, dress size, bloated ego --am I right?

When I searched her on Intelius and the white pages, the name came back as all addresses in Oakland. Is that close to SF? And I still think SFSthrngal could be her, too. Again, too many similarities in attitude and posting style to Melt.

(did I mention I think Melt is a creepoid?)

The members have a RIGHT to know who Heidi/Kimmer is because she is basing her WOE on HER weight loss. That is why they joined in the first place. These poor members want proof so it can be put to bed and they can get on about their business of losing weight. It would be so simple ..... show yourself - come clean - stop acting like a dictator - answer questions and doubts ....... treat your members the way their deserve... Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out!

*shrug* I went from 297 to 239 on Atkins, did Kimkins and got down to 220, then regained my sanity...gained back to 239 for about a week, and then lost down to 220 again on Atkins.

I started my weight loss with the help of my brother who went on Atkins with me. In August he reached his goal and is -145 lbs lighter. So I started looking for a new support group. I was also on a 3 month plateau and was about to hang my scale in effigy. In the midst of this I read the WW article and put it aside figuring I was doing fine on Atkins...then picked it up again months later and signed on. The low fat approach appealed to me since I had been keeping on the lower fat side of Atkins on my way through. (by this I mean low salt, low fat cold cuts and processed meats were what we used when not cooking fresh food). Counting my calories a little more didn't seem like such a bad idea. HOWEVER, I was thinking 1200 calories, not 500-600.

Honestly, now that I look back, I will say that I probably was on the plateau because I let too many carbs back into my diet. Too many nuts, too many low carb pitas etc, and could have just gone back on induction and gotten the same results as Kimkins.

I stopped Kimkins when I realized that I was starting to have a really unhealthy relationship with food. I know I didn't gain this weight overnight and until Kimkins had a pretty healthy idea that I was on a 3 year timeplan to lose 170 lbs. Of course I had hoped for closer to 2 years but hey, life happens. Once on it, I was convinced I could be down to 120 by March, and I made sure I followed the plan to get there.

Then one day, while doing a 14 mile hike in a local park, I grabbed 10 wild blueberries from a bush and scarfed them down, something I've always enjoyed about the early August Hiking. I felt like I had committed a major crime. 10 blueberries, full of anti-oxidents, and I was feeling an abnormal level of guilt, this is NOT healthy.

I started easing back from Kimkins then. I was still part of a wonderful support group that was there, the people on Kimkins were never my issue. But I started just going back to Atkins, and finally this week I can say I'm back on track and down to 220.

I don't think I have an excuse to get my money back. They supplied me with what was promised, and I was educated enough to know that if it sounds too good to be true it is. I luckily, didn't have the issues reported here.

I respect what you are doing here, you are trying to deal with what happened to you with humor. There was another site that had gotten to the point that I didn't even know what they wanted as the ultimate outcome, it approached mob mentality. After reading this for the past few days I honestly think you are trying to do what you all think is best.

I wish you the best of luck.

Now I'm off to find a thread that will support me for the rest of my weight loss. (I'm aiming to be in the Century club by Christmas )

btw, the entries from chzbrgr had me laughing. I'm addicted to that site. I blame it all on my finnish friend who turned me on to it.

Kimmer, I do not know who you are or anything about you. I do know that the plan that you pitch does work. But when such serious accusations come up about you and your validity as the person you have presented yourself to be to the thousands who follow this plan....... I think you have an obligation to address it. You did _base_ this plan and promote it on your own personal experience and success, and that makes it fair game for people to ask questions about you. The fact that you have refused to address it has lead to the self destruction of a very nice site. It has allowed seeds of doubt and dissension to grow completely out of control. It has allowed your accusers to build a very strong case as to your truthfulness with your customers. It will destroy this forum and for that I am very sad. I couldn't care less about the money I paid to join, I got my moneys worth many times over. The knowledge you gave me will never go away. I now know how to successfully lose weight. But, I don't feel good coming here anymore. There is a mean, defensive spirit that has taken over. I cannot go to the other sites because I cannot stand the tactics they are using. I do offer Thanks to you Kimmer, because whether you meant to or not, your plan has helped me in many ways. It will help me in the future to gain control of my weight. But, please..... for yourself and for the people who have trusted you. Address these charges. Come clean, or prove them wrong. You owe it to yourself, and to the rest of us.

Kimmer, all through my Kimkins journey, I have defended you tooth and nail. I too own my own business and I thought all the people asking questions and such were being rude and had no right to call you out in public the way they would over your name, your photo's, etc. But Kimmer, things are starting to change. Maybe they saw something I didn't, or maybe they are seeing something that's not there. I just don't know. I have read that you have said you won't fold to these people, that you just choose to ignore them so they'll go away. That works to a point Kimmer. It has come so far now that you owe it to your customers to prove the "haters" wrong, if they are indeed wrong. This is your chance to go on TV or meet with some longtime, reputable Kimkins members or admins from the early days and get some photo's taken to make this all go away. It's not just about you Kimmer........it's about what you owe your customers! It's your chance to say "SEE! I told you, you were wrong. Are you satisfied now?"! It no longer makes sense Kimmer, that you would continue to refuse to prove everyone wrong. That is the ONE thing that has swayed me to start to wonder if this all has been a scam. Staying quiet and not disproving the rumors makes you look like you're guilty. Kimmer, if this has all been a scam and it just snowballed out of control before you could stop it, PLEASE step up now and do the right thing and stop this. It will only be worse for you later if you wait until someone, like the authorities, steps in and makes you stop. Like I said, it's the one thing making me question all of this. You can bet if someone was trying to destroy my business in this way, I would be doing EVERYTHING to guard what I have worked so hard to build up. If all these rumors aren't true, why would you risk your entire business, your livelihood, your reputation, etc. by not coming forward to prove a few things wrong. Yes even dear ol' Fawn who declared Kimmer a hero and saint decided she couldn't stand all the friction here and decided to join her friends who had moved to another forum. Think that was just a week ago but things here have deteriated quickly....threads pulled, members banned for asking questions.. yet a couple of very obnoxious posters live on and go from thread to thread being aultrustic and insulting. Somehow I feel like I'm in a prison when I come here now and that is a shame.

Though I wish they questioned the diet for their own safety, I'm glad they're speaking up and wanting to see the truth from Heidi/Kimmer. She's not going to come through, but they have a right to see for themselves. I wonder if this will cause them to be banned.

I thought the same thing and was sad to read that one gal won't visit other blogs/forums. Hopefully when she doesn't get Kimmer's reply that will peak her curiosity to seek out "the Truth" .... I do give them credit ..... they at least posted their questions/concerns.

Well, either way ... Heidi/Kimmer not giving proof, or their posts resulting in a ban, they're going to figure out what is what. I feel so bad for those there that still want it all to be OK. I felt that way, too. Finally being able to lose weight is a big thing and if they're not experiencing any health issues at this moment, they're going to have a hard time believing it's bad for them. Later may be too late. I can't even tell you how much that pi**es me off!
