I wanted so badly to chat with someone, I was livid! And of course I had burned my bridge here. I have since repented and the admins here kindly reinstated my priveleges. So here I am. I am not very outspoken. But I apologize for being so hard-headed, and thinking so badly of everyone here. You have done an awesome job of getting the word out that KK is not a healthy diet. And SHE is just beyond words! I felt sorry for her at first, but no more. This has got to STOP.
Anyway, thanks for listening. And again, I'm sorry for being so judgemental of everyone here. You were right...all along. I'm just glad that I finally came to my senses.

An adviser over there posted a comment to her review asking if the KK article in WW wasn't a paid advertisement and not really an article. Couldn't stand it anymore! I'm another lurker who has been drawn into the saga of the "Red Dress That Wasn't...".

I am a long time member who was an active Atkid until my Dr. bribed me to try South Beach. I did pretty good, until I hit the "adding in those healthy whole grains" phase! Went on a binge for about a year and a half and now have gained about 3/4 of my weight loss back! I came back to LCF to find my way again. Almost got caught up in the whole Kimmer "experience" because I actually thought about giving it a try...from what I remembered a couple of years ago! That is one of the reasons I came back here. Can you say dodged a bullet?

So glad you are all speaking up! Now, I just have to find the motivation to "do it all again"...

JC- Welcome and we are so glad that you are here! I am an ex-kimkin member as well. I do understand NOT wanting to believe what was being said and even not believing what I thought were signs of my body having issues with that WOE. We want to believe because we want to lose the weight and Kimmer is so good at making you feel like it is your fault if you don't.
So be good to yourself, get a check-up by your physician if you haven't already and stick around the boards for support!

Aww, Sweetie, it's just hard for a level-headed somewhat skeptical person to admit she was conned, especially after being warned by a bunch of outspoken and passionate detractors. (How's that for tact, hah?

) What made it particularly hard to swallow were the kind and supportive original admins on Kimkins, and the fact their advice seemed to be working for them and you. It took time for the long-range effects of the starvation diet to manifest, and it takes time to recover your equilibrium and trust your OWN judgment again.
But as long as you find a nutritional plan that will undue any damage yet allow you to either continue losing weight, or help you to keep your losses while healing, that's the important thing.

Just waiting to be banned from KK, should be any time now. Crazy huh? I'm looking forward to it. Back when I was so confused, Kimmer told me don't worry I'd always have a home at KK because my membership was for life (I had told her too, to revoke my membership because I couldn't take it anymore)
