WHOW, so Kimmer lost 100 pounds in 3 weeks on ATKINS. My interpretation. I guess that's why I decided to cycle away from Kimkins to Atkins.

Sandy, go back to History 101. The First Amendment doesn't apply to privately run BBs. In fact, LCF (or Netrition, whoever they are) has certainly banned folks for various "violations." Not unlike any other privately held forum. Several members here have complained of being banned from LCF. I know of about half a dozen folks who were banned from ALC as well. There are restrictions on these forums regarding speech if the admins feel that that speech threatens to disrupt the on-line community, or if the speech is not in keeping what the admins want to see on their site. That's true of most on-line forums. It's rare to find a forum where folks aren't banned for stating their opinions. Criminality, malware, or spam will get you banned from about 99% of forums. The next "level" of speech, voicing your opinion, may or may not get you banned depending on the forum policies and/or whether the admins are in a bad mood and/or didn't get laid that morning. Christ on a popsicle stick, I got banned from another health forum for saying I was an atheist in their "Off Topic" section in a discussion about religion. So bannings happen.

I appreciate your concern, Sandy, but I'll stick with Tippy's story on this one. I was familiar with Tippy when I was lurking on LCF after starting Kimkins, and I trust her judgment on this. Besides, I think I've used Netrition all of 3 times since being low-carb in the last 8 years. I just don't use the artificial products all that much.

I am not being snarky I really am not following what your concerns or comments mean.

The point is I was snarky and snatty and all of the above right along with the rest of them until I got my mole priveleges and could read these threads for myself. The particular ones i read, the people are really desperate and hurting. It really hurt my heart to read what I was reading. Up until that, it was just a point and laugh situation. My point is they are human beings too and they deserve some respect. Two wrongs dont make a right and we should be the better people and not dog on them like alot of us here are doing. So, basically I realized I was acting like an asshat and care enough about my neighbor to stop.

For those of you more "in the know" than a lot of us duckies, can we get an estimate on how long the wait is until whatever this news is thats going to come out actually comes out?

I'm sure there are SOME here (but not me, of course!) who are still sitting at their computers in their pajamas and could be wondering if they have enough time to go clean the stank off of themselves. I'm really just asking this for anyone that COULD be in that position. I care about others and want everyone to be stank free.

That's the truly sad part of this deal.

If I had known leaking valves (I got 'em thanks to Phen/Fen) were part of the deal, no way in heck I would have taken them. I was willing to chance the other risks, because the statistics were so low, but there's lots of us leaky folk walking around thanks to that little cocktail. That pesky side effect didn't surface until after I bailed on that particular ship.

If ONLY people would take the cotton out of their ears and listen to what people are trying to tell them.
