Ahhh, one of my fave songs by the Who - "I'm free/I'm free/And freedom tastes like reality"! Makes a nice medley with "Won't Get Fooled Again". (That scream by Roger Daltrey is one of the best R&R moments evah!)

(((Hugs))) to Kat - I actually went to sleep and missed your original post. And welcome to all our new members of the D-Unit!

Hey DuckFeathers,

I emailed Countdown; will let you know if I get a response. here is what I sent:
************************************************** *********
RE: Recommendation for expose

Hey Keith:

Love your show and hoping that you can bring some attention to a huge scammer on the internet that has the diet world in a frenzy. I have not seen this reported to date in the mainstream news. Would be a great expose on "Worst Person" or "Oddball" or even "Countdown." The story borders on the surreal.

A good overview, with links is here:
3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Official Website for Weight Loss Support - Kimkins: Anatomy of a Diet Scam

Information and photos from the private investigator hired, is here:
slamboard » Kimkins Diet

And some of the original threads that uncovered the fiasco, are here (see, Why the Fascination with KImmer?, parts 1, 2 and 3):
http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/kimkins/

I promise you will not be disappointed.

cheers,
Wendy

That's why I posted asking about TOS. EVERY one was getting banned for just asking questions about their health. I wanted to ask about mine and wanted *them to tell me I could do it within what they were saying was TOS. Their excuses for all the bans were TOS violations or member complaints. It was sickening. I read a lot of the posts that supposedly got peopled banned and it was clear they were getting rid of those that spoke up, asked questions, or stated concerns while others were allowed to bash members and nothing happened. THAT was it for me. That is what really made me realize what was what.

Will they just end up being saggy deflated things that droop to my knees, one drooping more than the other. or will losing the wight even them out to a much less noticeable degree like they were BEFORE I gained so much weight?

Thanks to anyone brave enough to answer.. and it's ok to laugh.. the whole thing is absurd!

edit: maybe I will post this in the women's issues forum as well. I think we have one of those.

LOL! Almost everyone is "uneven" from what I've read. I've also read that if you're left handed your left breast will be your biggest, right handed/ right breast. Seems true for me. Mine aren't all that noticeable but I can tell. I'm big breasted, too. I've lost 5 inches off my breast size (when measured across my back and across the fronts of my breasts. I've gone down almost a full cup size (from DDD to DD) and an inch off my strap size (though I've lost more than an inch off there, go figure). I think the sagging issue will depend on age. Losing weight when I was younger didn't cause sagging for me. Now, in my late (very late) 40's, that little blessing doesn't seem to happen anymore. I've noticed a difference, but again, it's not that bad. TMI?

Well, when I was there, most, if not all, of the Newbie Support had been written and organized by littlebit (Becky). When Becky left and began exposing the truth about Kimmer, I figured it was only a matter of time before Kimmer took down littlebit's work only to put it back up later as her own (or even Tippy's now).

Of course, as someone wisely pointed out earlier, Becky will probably be quite relieved when her name is removed from that place!

ETA: Gweebles, I just saw your other post about Newbie Support being back up. Is littlebit's name still associated with it? Whenever KK is down for maintenance or there's some other "glitch" it usually means a lot of "house cleaning" going on, or so it seems. And still no PM function over there?

Our oldest son gave the first season of 24 on DVD to my husband for father's day. It was an instant addiction. He had always wanted to see it but never got the chance. We got hooked immediately. Even our youngest was hooked. We just picked up season 2 and can't wait to watch it. I cannot imagine waiting a week to see the next episode!! DVD was nice and easy on the addiction. Waiting a week would have killed us. lol

jdprecious I agree.
I do not feel bad for Kimmer or her associates who went into this fiasco with their eyes open.
I do feel bad for any of the members there (real, not imaginary) who ARE there for the friendship and support.
I hope someone can get the word to them that there are a lot of great low-carb sites around where they can go and continue that support and friendship.
LCF, alc and jimmys sites are probably the best known and biggest, but if they're looking for a smaller, more personal setting I am sure there are a lot out there that they can feel welcome and 'safe' at.
Of course we'd like to see them HERE lol -but realize LCF is not the taste of everyone

Long story short...I've changed my tune, come to my senses, smartened up....
When I saw those PI pix, I just knew in my heart, it was HER. That was tough for me to swallow. But I told myself it was okay, I can still use the plan cause it works for me.
I continued to lurk here and other places, and it all finally started to sink in. I can't explain it, why I couldn't accept the truth. I kept trying to "make it work" in my head. I finally admitted to my dh that my hair is falling out, and has been for about 6 months. So far, that is the only side effect I have experienced. I emailed Christin, and she is such a beautiful and caring person, and it all fell into place.
I got in touch with a couple of other ex-kimkinites. And it really is a difficult process to remove yourself from the mindset. It all finally came crashing down the other night at the Kimkins site when Wonderwoman started spouting off. I was there, watching it happen. And again, another lightbulb moment...I knew that it was HER. I was typing my response when the screen went blank, and the whole thread was deleted.
I wanted so badly to chat with someone, I was livid! And of course I had burned my bridge here. I have since repented and the admins here kindly reinstated my priveleges. So here I am. I am not very outspoken. But I apologize for being so hard-headed, and thinking so badly of everyone here. You have done an awesome job of getting the word out that KK is not a healthy diet. And SHE is just beyond words! I felt sorry for her at first, but no more. This has got to STOP.
Anyway, thanks for listening. And again, I'm sorry for being so judgemental of everyone here. You were right...all along. I'm just glad that I finally came to my senses.

I think it has to do with the muscles being used more because of whichever "handed" you are. lol. I could not for the life of me figure out how to say that.
Just remember, losing it healthily is the most important thing.
