I really don't think he was given an accurate picture of the plan. I'll be interested to see if he answers you. |

Okay, try telling me Melt isn't the Kimster herself. I think the writing style is the same. A sampling of posts by Melt over the last couple of days...
*** "Induction flu? I don't cycle with carbs. I cycle with more fat and protein. There's a difference. I'm still in ketosis, even at higher calories. What are "good carb foods?" Maybe green veggies. Grains certainly aren't good for you. Beans? Kinda carby for the amount of protein you're getting there. Fruit? That's a lot of sugar, so not a lot of bang for your buck there, either. But which carbs are you talking about? Carbs are not necessary to function in day to day life, and they are even not necessary for moderate physical execise. If I do a long run in the future, like over 15 miles, or a long swim (longer than 3-4 miles) I'll probably just follow Colpo and do the PWO carbs. melt " *** "Tippy, I appreciate the heads-up about Netrition, and I will boycott the company as well. I don't use them very frequently, but will not use them again in the future. I also have political reasons for not shopping at Wal-Mart. They are active union-busters, encourage their employees to use local public health care services instead of providing decent health insurance to their employees, and have pretty much destroyed many of the retail establishments in the communities in which they build their stores. It's a reprehensible company, and I've never set foot in one - and don't plan to! Thanks again for letting us know what is what. melt " *** "nutritiondata on soybeans Black soybeans not in the data_base_, but here is a general soybean entry. 17 grams for 1 cup ??" *** "Kristi, the last time I did Atkins and Weight Watchers, my boobs were the last to go - both times. With Kimkins, it seems like they proportionally "scaled down" at the same time that the rest of my body did. I don't know if it's something to do with the type of diet Kimkins is, or if it's hormonally related (currently perimenopausal) or what (??maybe weight-training, too), but I am thrilled that I am also down from 36-38C, which is where I started, to a 34B. It's easier to run with small boobs! I am partial to Felina and Wacoal bras. But they are expensive! But the fit on these brands, for me, is terrific. melt" *** "Gary, wow - you are so close to your goal!! Nice work! And congrats on your recent loss! I have also been cycling. I realized if I stayed strict I would continue to lose, and I don't want to keep losing! (Heck, I never thought I'd say THAT!) I do Kimkins strict about every 3 days - and the couple of days in between I eat much higher fat and protein. It also seems to be benefiting my exercising as well. So I'm thrilled to have something that is satisfying and works for my maintenance. I am still playing around with different foods, but on balance seem to have found something for the time being that is working. I bought a new jacket from Eddie Bauer in a size S, and it was too big! I had to send it back and get the XS. Keep up the great work, Gary! And thanks for everything you've done on the Recipe Box. melt " *** "Tippy Toes wrote: [Tutul, here is one big HUG for you. I think it's great because now you have a chance to prove him wrong. Sieze it. Melt, 2? Isn't one bad enough, lol?] LOL. The scheduling is the worst part of it. I was having dinner with one of them the other night and had to cut it short because I had made plans with the other one for later the same evening and almost forgot about it! And, no, I don't get their names mixed up in the heat of passion! Goddess help me if I do. That will be the end of the 2-man experiment." ***(bold was mine on that last one )***"emilykate wrote: [You guys make me laugh- ohh to be young and single again-lol Emily] LOL. Not young. Just single. (I'm 48.) But they are still looking! melt" "Turtul, your "partner" is your current boyfriend. Partner is a less loaded term. You happen to be straight, but if someone is talking about their S.O. or their partner and I don't know their gender or their S.O.'s gender, partner is a more appropriate term to use instead of just assuming everybody is hetero. It's already bad enough that we live in a hetero-centric society. I would rather see us neutralize all of that crap in our language. Kimoki is right - you need to start from a position of an intact ego and worthiness - that you have value and are worthy of a man who can rise to supporting that value in you. It takes a lot of introspection, self-reflection, and psychological work to get there, though, and you're still young. You have time to work on yourself, and there are plenty of great men out there who will respect you and not treat you in a condescending manner. Hell, I'm 48, and I've got two guys I'm seeing. You are never too old to have relationships, whether sexual or emotional. But I only choose partners who have intact ego boundaries, not schmucks who would put me down for trying a diet, even if I tried dieting 2, 3, or 50 times. If either one of these men said anything negative about my doing this plan, they know they'd be history with me. It's not up for discussion if they are going to criticize it, and I'd be gone. They are not like that, anyway. Both of them are behind me 100%. They are not threatened by women in their lives, they are confident in who they are and don't need to put down others, and they respect women as equally as they respect men (probably respect women more so, actually). At your age, it's going to be difficult to meet appropriate men. A lot of men in your age group are probably at the same maturity level as 15-year-olds, sad to say. But good luck with this guy! melt " *** So...what do y'all think? Is it Kimmerooni or not? Show of hands? Hippiegirl

I'm not quite sure I have. I'm still having a hard time making myself add foods back. 2. How is your body responding to the transition? Weight loss is at a virtual crawl. Some weeks I will lose a pound or so. Others, I will gain. I'm stuck at an impasse. If you look at my siggy, it shows 199.2 on 08/31. When I weighted myself last Friday, it was 198. I had been as low as 197 this month. So I'm bouncing between 2lbs. right now. Part of the problem is I haven't quite figured out what plan to follow. I did CAD in 1999 and lost 50lbs. But you know- I wanted that faster than a speeding bullet weight loss this time around... ![]() 3. Are you able to lose weight? maintain? See above. to all the people who have joined us.

AMEN. At least they got rid of Wonder Woman, though - she offended my sensibilities. On a pogo stick, indeed. Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable |

this was posted in the Mel thread...
Re:I FEEL HARRASSED BY MELT 23 Minutes ago Ladies, ladies, ladies... We have strayed so far from the Topic! We are personally, repeatedly offended by Melt's posts, and we wonder why she is allowed to persevere in her nastiness.... And we are, sadly, unable to pursue this topic via PM -- because there is no PM. Boy, you don't know how much I wanted to tell them that the Admins READ the PMs!!! But didn't want to blow my cover.... (Undercover cop?, lol) |
