So Ms Stafford..does this mean you are no longer at Kimkins? Were you banned? I do have to admit that you had been ranting "a lot" in several threads over there lately, even if it was in support of KK. I hope you have really checked out all the information that lead to this stuff and why we are here. For the record..I had done low carb years ago and when I saw the Kk advertisement, I though, cool, Atkins but better!! I was not drug into as much of it as some as I had a run in with Kimmer within my first 3 weeks and wised up fast but not fast enough to stop the hair from falling out. Oh, and I tried to ask you one time about your name on the chat in a PM and you immediately disappeared. It is one of my family names so your name always caught my eye....

This didn't say anything about ducky did it? And it didn't imply it either, she made a comment about something I never saw, so I wasn't to just jump to the conclusion that this had to do with the kimmer mess was I?

It's good to sit back and enjoy watching this thread doing nothing to help anyone and to make silly comments that make no sense, but really, do you condone this woe? Maybe you should take the time to go back and look through what Flower has posted in the past. She IN NO WAY condones Kimkins. She was one of the people who has always thought Kimmer was a fraud. Take a look at her previous posts on the matter. Like this one, for instance:

No, the post you were referencing didn't say anything about Ducky. But it was KimATC's reaction to having all her personal information posted on Ducky's website. How's that a wild goose chase? I understood the context of what she was saying.

Kim and Flower are good friends. They've been part of a challenge together here together for years. I've known Flower for years as well. Flower has never made it a secret that she supports Kim, and she was disappointed when Kim left LCF. She continues to support Kim now that she has returned, just like everyone else.

I hope that in the future you do a little more research before you tell someone they're silly or that they have nothing to contribute here.

Kiwi, sorry for the ad hominem attacks. You don't deserve it. You also don't deserve to be seamingly bashed for your opinion. Unlike over at the Kimkins board, we want you to be able to freely speak your mind. Please continue to do so!

In regards to your original post, I'll tell you this: Yes, as adults it is our responsibility to care for our own health. And that is exactly what we and many others were trying to do when we joined the Kimkins program. We realized that we had let our health slip by becoming overweight and wanted to do something about it. We found the Kimkin program, saw that this lady name "Kimmer" had lost the weight, and said that if we follow her plan and advice (via free coaching), we too could do it. We followed the plan and guess what? We lost weight! Little did we know that the person who was dishing out the advice was not only overweight herself, but had never lost the weight using her own plan! And, to top it off, the plan that she was dishing out was dangerous! Many people who had joined the site had never followed a low carb diet before and had NO knowledge about nutrition in general so they followed her advice. After all, she lost the weight, right?

And, if you follow your line of thought to its end, you could also say the following is true:

1. The little old lady who sends away for a gadget she sees on the internet and never receives it is at fault. She should have known that there were scam artist who would put up a fake web site for this sole purpose.

2. The guy who is a victim of identity theft should have known better than to post his credit card info on a site that wasn't locked. His fault for not looking for the lock icon on the site.

3. The guy who got his money stolen from inside his wallet in his own home from his own son is at fault. He should have known that his son was dabbling in drugs and hanging with a rough crowd so he should have kicked him out when he first found out.

Ok, so maybe all of these are horrible examples but hopefully you get my point: As consumers, we do what we can to protect ourselves when making purchases. We ask others (referrals), we check the BBB, etc. If there is no info on a company (or in this case a diet plan), we as human beings have to at some point trust. Trust that the person who is doing the selling is telling the truth. The world simply cannot function when we don't trust one another! And that's exactly what I and many others did: We trusted that Kimmer lost the weight and could tell us how to safely do the same.

That is how I read it too.
In Aug, she said she did KK for 2 weeks, didn't feel well and couldn't do it longer than that. It did work for weight loss and she wanted to try it again.

Missi, Flowerpower is one of the Good guys. AND...She happens to be right that No one could say Anything against Kimkins or Kimmer without it being deleted as a personal attack, or offending people and their choice of diet plans. It took a LONG time before something like the fascination thread could be...And as the thread went on (and even the Mods Eyes were opened) People were allowed to say more and more that never would have been allowed before.

So, FlowerPower is correct. She's been here A LONG time.

Just recently the Mods are also posting in this thread. That never happened before.
